  1. Exactly. When I had only one or two I got used to saving it for an important moment. Then I forgot it was there most of the time. Only when some characters got the extra empower ability I started using it more frequently. I saw that as a "free to use because it's extra".
  2. I don't remember seeing a thread like that. I intend to do a solo run myself so I'd appreciate if you posted your "desirable sequence" here.
  3. From an interview with Brandon Adler: http://expansivedlc.com/pillars-of-eternity-interview-with-brandon-adler/
  4. I'll definitely have to try one low int build some day. This one is cool. Edit: I imagine that it goes without saying that this build forbids you from rejecting the crew members that knock on your door?
  5. It is not "the Orlan on the beach", it's Vela. Check your choices (in the previous game or in the legacy creator) to see if you kidnapped her on PoE1. If you did, then she should show up.
  6. How do you see the votes, do you need to log in?
  7. I feel the same way, especially about stealth. I feel compelled to steal everyone and sometimes it gets very complex to move npcs with sparkcrackers and talking to make them look another way (for example: Dereo's Lair). And then, after all that effort you get a few copper and a hardtack.
  8. I don't think they need to completely change ship combat. I'd very likely enjoy a more complex system, but it would not be worth the time and trouble to do it. Hopefully whatever Josh Sawyer is working on now will be sufficient.
  9. Well they do have a point about players being not used to this kind of interaction So we are heading to what happens in the movie Idiocracy.
  10. This reminded me of this joke: There once was a business owner who was interviewing people for a division manager position. He decided to select the individual that could answer the question "how much is 2+2?" The engineer pulled out his slide rule and shuffled it back and forth, and finally announced, "It lies between 3.98 and 4.02". The mathematician said, "In two hours I can demonstrate it equals 4 with the following short proof." The physicist declared, "It's in the magnitude of 1x10^1." The logician paused for a long while and then said, "This problem is solvable." The social worker said, "I don't know the answer, but I a glad that we discussed this important question. The attorney stated, "In the case of Svenson vs. the State, 2+2 was declared to be 4." The trader asked, "Are you buying or selling?" The accountant looked at the business owner, then got out of his chair, went to see if anyone was listening at the door and pulled the drapes. Then he returned to the business owner, leaned across the desk and said in a low voice, "What would you like it to be?"
  11. I'd even go so far as to say 26th is pretty good given that the list includes games that aren't really RPGs (at least of the same type as Deadfire) and that the list includes games like the Witcher 3 (and 2 and 1) and Divinity Original Sin 2. And bear in mind Deadfire was (admittedly briefly) the overall top seller on Steam near its release (a bit like Two Point Hospital is right now*). *Or was when I checked, it might already have been replaced for all I know. Good point. If they release more successful games of other genres Deadfire will go down on that list, even if the sales are not affected. This is not really the best way to evaluate if it is selling well.
  12. They actually don't care much about offenses. There were many times my clever character mocked them without any repercussions. And since they don't seem to notice when somebody is one of their priests, I assume that they don't really pay much attention to individual kith. It would be like a dog barking at you in a park. Some people may consider it annoying or disrespectful, but only a few would think of reacting with violence. Luckily for the people on Eora, their gods are not millennials.
  13. 26th is not bad. And who cares if it is not 26th but there are a hundred entries for the same game above?
  14. And if it happens your party will still have their injuries. Also, a "surprised" affliction to make it even more dangerous.
  15. The helm that gives immunity to interrupt on being injured, you mean? This is good to know. My pale elf will be a wizard too.
  16. Nature Godlike for the power level if you want to play a more powerful character. Pale Elf for the roleplay. I'll be one in my next pt and I'll have a Ydwin and Vatnir in my party.
  17. You might also consider playing as a different character from previous pts. For example, if you already played with the dispositions you are planning for one of these characters, then the other one might be more interesting to get a different experience. As for the classes, the wizard would be more interesting for the third DLC.
  18. I'm not sure how they activate, but they stopped after I denied one "guest". A pity, since my future Watchers will be interested in companions and they'll probably refuse even the first crew member.
  19. Well, it is supposed to tease, not inform. That's what trailers are for. I wouldn't mind if they teased a little more.
  20. It felt bad when I gave Ydwin another armor.
  21. I always forget about it. The first time I used it to recharge Serafen, he was already at level 20. It gives what, 100 focus? I missed it most of the game.
