  1. 1. I generally only enchant unique weapons / armors. You definitely will not be buying equipment every level. You will probably end up using lots of same gear over many levels and the main reason you will switch is mostly because the abilities on the weapons / armor better synergize with your party and not because the weapon is 'higher level'. by the end of the game you will be able to raise a few weapons or armors to the highest enchants possible. So its more about what weapon abilities you like. This isnt like an action rpg with leveled gear. There is enchanting that is kinda like leveling but like i said later on you can enchant a small number of select weapons all the way to the top meaning you could have found a cool weapon in the first town you really like and play the whole game with it. 2. There is no dual pistols in POE1. 2. Unless you are playing on the highest difficulties, the game doesnt punish to much your choices for builds. So pick the talents / armors you think are good and you are prob fine. You can make lots of builds / armor sets work. The simplest route is frontline melee give heavier armors and back line give lighter armors. There is a build section in this forums to point out specific build types to guide you if that is what you want. They are super min maxed but work just fine for companions and main characters that are not min max. Those builds are usually for POTD so take them with a grain of salt on lower levels if you use them. They will spoil gear you will find also later in the game. There is also a beginners guides to some of the mechanics here. 3. There is two talents in the utility tree and one potion (combat use only) and one wizard spells (combat use only and only for that wizard not on others) that heal health. Health was meant as a gage for how much you need to rest. But yes most of the time you have to rest or go to inn. 4. a. You dont have to read the gold plated npcs they are backer stories that dont have anything to do with game story or world b. You dont have to do most quest when you find them. So you can try and if you are having trouble especially in the beginning, just move on, level up, get more characters and then come back. That is ok. You can do dungeons partially also. In fact the largest dungeon in the game is like that where you do a few levels and then get rolled so a level or few later you come back and start progressing. c. Raedric is usually a tough early spike in difficulty at least on harder difficulties. So if you find it to tough just come back with full 6 person party later on
  2. Josh had mentioned this elsewhere. I think like he said he wants to move to different projects. Hes been on pillars for 6 years or so
  3. Rip that will further kill the boeroer golden dragon build from POE1. I had a run with this setup in POE1 and was one of the funnest melee builds i did. basically barb tank focused on debuff and some cc with weapons but on hit carnage effects are gone and now maybe no bashing shields. I wonder if this was a consequence of bashing being messed up in POE1. early on josh was asked about why bashing lowered your dps compared to just shield and sword and they were surprised like it didnt even occur to them. maybe this is their fix just remove bashing stuff.
  4. Ye my first playthrough with POE2 my save will have this choice and i wont regret it.
  5. This was a very fun build. Do you think this build will translate to POE2? I did a build very similar with this but with variant weapons that focused on CC or Debuffs but i know in POE2 the on hit effects for carnage were removed. That alone seemed to kill my build being moved to POE2.
  6. There are two doors to that spiked room i believe and 1 of them doesnt require mechanics to get in.
  7. I dont think so. It kinda annoying but i believe perception is used to find hidden objects.
  8. I beat that. Credits rolled after maybe 10 minutes when I on the first try chose to go back to the wheel because I wanted to see if I could chat up another god, or get a different offer or something. It was kinda funny really. Ye that is why Josh said 'non false' ending. for speed run
  9. There shouldnt be the game is saved in same location whether you install from gog or steam
  10. Ye i am pretty sure the animal scales with actual level and not power level so multiclass get benefit of same animal.
  11. My guess, if something goes wrong at launch and needs asap fixing. chances are much better during the week than on a friday release. I assume this has to do with having dev team at work to be able to respond to issues that come up. instead of making everyone stay at work over the weekend. This is why we try to release builds mid week for sure. although we dont deal with external customers.
  12. Got to twitch and check for deadfire. there are several people playing it.
  13. PC only. console will be announced later. They originally said sometime in the 2018 holidays i suppose like Christmas but not sure where it stands Obsidian isnt the company doing the port to consoles.
  14. I work from home 99% of time but somehow got scheduled to all day meeting at office on release day
  15. I want to play ranger single class stalker. One thing that is weird is ranger and barb basically get same passive ability with different name but 4 power levels difference in getting it. (Stunning Shots vs Interrupting Blows) So Stunning shots has changed from an Level 9 on hit stun when hitting enemy with both ranger and companion in POE1 to a Level 19 on crit interrupt (i guess at least it doesnt require animal but i would rather the other way around with animal to get stun back). umm... and Barbarian gets almost same ability called Interrupting blows at around level 9 for single class. I wonder if this is a bug since they are so similar the only difference is Barbarian says melee only and ranger doesnt. That isnt worth 10 actual levels is it?

So Stunning shots has changed from an Level 9 on hit stun when hitting enemy with both ranger and companion to a Level 19 on crit interrupt (i guess at least it doesnt require animal but i would rather the other way around). umm... and Barbarian gets exact same ability called Interrupting blows at around level 9 for single class.
