  1. Yes once he got to character creation he clicked most abilities so you can pause and see what it does. But he missed stuff not understanding wizards subclasses and other uniques
  2. Cohh is showing all abilities on screen. So you can go back and see all high level abilities and what they do on a saved video. So heart of fury is level 8 for barb
  3. I watched a lot of his POE1 stream he did over the last month and he seem good for this. he read everything and was enthusiastic and loved the game and got his community excited about POE1. He seem to regularly have around 8-11 thousand watching POE1 (ive seen his number go to 20-30 for God of war) and from the comments got a lot people interested in the game. To me this is exactly the type of streamer Obsidian wants playing the game, showing it off. Here is the result of what he thought of POE1 and that gets others excited in general so it good. But ye i cant watch anything from his POE2 stuff
  4. Right? Wonder where she went off to. She got a new job at Blizzard. If you asking seriously
  5. I wonder if you can set the AI to use consumables. I didnt really mess with it.
  6. Well in POE2 they said they would do just that. Making attribute checks far less prevalent. i like Might. I never understood the immersion/realism argument its a game mechanic almost nothing is realistic about any of this stuff.
  7. Josh on ranged weapons They still do massive damage in the right hands. I consistently use guns in my playthroughs. I think my personal favorite ranged weapons are arquebuses (for damage), pistols (for a faster shot cadence with heavy damage), war bows (for Overdraw), crossbows (for Knockdown), and sceptres (overall versatility). And here It's just the curse of guns. I think Hunting Bows and War Bows are now best of Pierce/Slash and at least two of the implements have best of damage.
  8. Josh on swords As other people in this thread have already pointed out, clubs (in Deadfire, at least) are extremely potent if you have anyone in your party targeting Will and battle axes can do massive damage if used properly. Swords have best of Slash/Pierce, but all best of weapons now have 1 Pen lower than weapons that have a single damage type -- which is still a net bonus, but circumstantially worse when the target has the same AR vs. both types. Swords are a popular melee choice because people love swords for various reasons (I'm not that stuck on them, personally). There are several categories of sword because D&D has a bunch of them, too. The only reason capital S Swords got overrepresented in uniques is because backers and designers kept designing them in spite of my requests not to. I still think that maces and warhammers (in Deadfire at least) are generally more useful one-handed weapons and I prefer pikes and quarterstaves (especially) for distance. Morningstars are best of Crush/Pierce and do identical damage to greatswords. If you have anyone who regularly targets Fortitude, the morningstar modal is fantastic IME.
  9. and that was also Paradox's choice for how they wanted the dlc's to be.
  10. I do think White March was more of a homage to Icewind Dale which is more fighting focused i suppose. I did like alot of the quest content in White March also
  11. Looking Back and Moving Forward with Pillars of Eternity This was a while back from Josh looks like gdc released the talk video . Maybe i just missed the video somewhere and this is just me.
  12. Article with quotes from Josh from Reboot Develop and another nothing to special in articles but would be curious to see that talk or interview about rpgs mentioned in article. Not sure if the quotes are from the 'Take Care' talk. if this was another panel would be nice to see
  13. I agree i never understood all the praise for WM. It was ok but the grind was so annoying.
  14. #1 dont worry about the gold plated npcs they are backer content and not integral to the story
