  1. I agree with better encounter design. I hope that the AI that allows for wandering NPCs allows for wandering enemies as well. I think we are getting better factions, Josh stated something to that effect. More open world may be a limitation of the engine. The world design is very similar to the Infinity Engine games, not sure how maps would work in such a game in an "open world" design. As far as loot is concerned, I think they actually did a great job with loot in POE. There was crafting, and not a lot of meaningless junk outside of hats and armor/weapons that would be downgrades. Maybe they could add blacksmithing which would allow you to salvage armor and weapons and allow you to craft upgrades. I assume soulbound weapons will return, and hoping for soulbound armor/jewelry as well.
  2. It would be nice if they make companions harder to miss. I had to go searching for a few companions in POE.
  3. This doesn't really bother me since I was always sneaking so that I didn't miss any hidden item, or set off a trap.
  4. The improvement of the character models is a huge deal for me, as it will allow for more immersion in the story. I also really like how your clothes (and hair possibly?) will be blown around by the wind. Hopefully there are more options for character model customization when you create a new character as well (facial features, etc).
  5. I have a feeling even after all that Eothas will do to us, Eder will still be an Eothas apologist. "You see, you just don't understand Eothas like I do. Now, let me tell you something..."
  6. yes would be nice to see monks get more interesting combat animations. perhaps throw in various "schools" of forms with their own animations and abilltiies.
  7. something inspired by Warcraft 2's naval combat could do, with a modern update of course.
  8. Interesting that they hired someone with experience designing card games. POE digital CCG please (no, don't mention Pathfinder I know).
  9. clutching my soul tightly so that no gods can take it from me

  10. being able to respec your character on the fly would be nice. there were encounters in POE where I wished I could do that.
  11. the reason for the slower funding is most likely due to the paypal thing.
  12. Gosh I hope they don't take anything from Tyranny, except maybe some of the faction ideas (faction abilities depending on your reputation).
  13. No thanks, I didn't even like the narrator in Baldurs Gate, I would have just preferred to read the text. I don't mind the random vocalizations from companions (banter), or even if a significant character says the first line or 2 of their dialogue. But fully voice acted characters don't really fit this genre.
  14. It's a single player RPG. Class balancing should not be that important. oh but it is.
  15. There is a Comments section on the Fig campaign site. Look at the black stripe just under the video.
  16. Of course I've got a debit card. A Dutch debit card. Which is of no use when Fig (and Kickstarter for that matter) asks specifically for a credit card. In the US debit cards also function like regular credit cards. There are MasterCard and VISA debit cards that have 16 digit numbers accepted wherever VISA and MasterCard are accepted.
  17. Thanks, bookmarked. Also, that article is worth reading as there are several statements from Josh. Not sure if they were pulled from another interview (RPG Codex) or not...
  18. reducing the party size would reduce the amount of spells and abilities that have graphics displayed on the background, which would help to see what is going on, I wouldn't mind. regarding the "huge problem" of importing a save, you could just be given an option of who to have in your party and who stays in your ship.
  19. ...if you're an US resident. Which a lot of people are not. Also, the card comes with a $4.95 a month fee. Which is awful. ah, didn't notice it was US only, and yes the monthly fee is terrible. i thought it was just something you could automatically link to your paypal account. surprising that european banks don't issue debit cards.
  20. PayPal has a prepaid debit MasterCard that you can sign up for: https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/paypal-prepaid-mastercard
