Short version of The Apocalypse: The Antichrist arrives when Israel rebuilds The Temple after which there will be a big battle at Megiddo --> "Armageddon". After after which, to show how much Evangelicals really care about Jews, all the Jews can either convert or, well, go to hell. Plus lots of repetitive and contradictory imagery about Signs and Portents/ Enemies that allows for liberal interpretation. In short: Revelations should have been left as the ravings of a Qat addled hermit* who was a bit upset about the Flavians burning The Temple in 70AD or whatever. Always kind of funny to read The Bible assuming it was just written by people rather than being The Word. Big irony: muslims however are a definite death cult for believing the big battle will be at a random village in Syria (Dabiq) instead of a random village in Israel. Otherwise it's pretty similar** for their end times as well, maybe a bit more specific and anachronistic (eg taking 'Constantinople'). *might not have done any good of course. To whit: the Prosperity Gospel. Did you know that the rich man and the eye of a needle aphorism was actually literal and about a gate in Jerusalem, not about how being overly wealthy is bad? Actually, Jesus "Gordon Gecko" Christ thought accumulating wealth was, well, good and means that God loves you in particular! **iirc they're also Hadiths, so not 'full' canon.1 point

Nothing exciting, just 2 minutes of monotony.... People sometimes raise an eyebrow or two when they find out my PC is connected to an UPS. But when you live where I live, it's not a luxury. Yesterday evening, while minding some meat on the BBQ, I took my phone and just shot 2 minutes of the night sky. Sometimes, weeks on end, every single afternoon and night, it looks like this... while my poor UPS is sweating and going <click><beep!>.... <click><beep!>... while compensating for power fluctuations1 point

As someone who doesn't know there are playable Civs in Civilization games other than Rome, I agree. But I'm not going to say our society needs to be like it.1 point

It is very slow. Not slow as in too many steps to get to the fun bits, but slow slow. I played only in fast forward x2 speed, which for other games would have been normal speed. It puts a lot of weight into the Landsraat, which is badly designed, as you have no way to affect how others will vote. You can buy more votes with influence, but as we have already seen in Endless Space 2 with the Academy requests, if something is decided by how many resources are dumped into it, the AI will always have an advantage through the resource bonus it already has. Alpha Centauri worked, because different policies were tied to traits that the different leaders and societies favoured to different extent. Then it adds the houses minor for random vote distribution. This is a simple RNG though, so one resolution was marked as being favoured by the houses minor - it failed because while all major houses voted for it, all 300 house minor votes were assigned to votes against. In the end, the Landsraat is just a bad RNG system. The game does nothing truly right, while doing some things truly wrong.1 point

The Kingdom of Jerusalem was a Christian monarchy, so the guy's tats are signaling something a bit different than support for Israel, which is bad enough. Let's just say your first read on it isn't entirely incorrect.1 point

Make it white chocolate macadamia nut cookies and hot chocolate, and maybe. Except I can't, because glucose levels. Ah well. Maybe I could try being a "whale" in some idiotic mobile game that I could play on the tablet, on the couch. *looks at some mobile games, fine print* "app purchases to $299" Uh, holy... not quite that bored (or rich), yet. I'm fairly sure the target isn't corruption, but as mentioned in article, get rid of regulations and rules (for business conduct). Say welcome to a new social class, the serfs, in the US Edit: Let's be honest, Musk is not known to care about his employees beyond squeezing every last drop of life force out of them and then discard them. Claiming anything else is being deliberately obtuse1 point

DoT, as status effects, are not affected by crit for their damages but their durations. They are affected by Might however. Even if they come from weapon or spell, they are not affected by bonus damage to weapon or spells. Because their damages cant crit, bonus for crit damages are useless too for them. Only generic damage bonus,PL bonus and Pen bonus (see in comments) can work, for exemple : High Harbinger's Robes provide +10% damages (for self's DoT) Thaos' Headdress give +5% damage vs flancked (self) Crucible token , 15% vs designed enemy (self) Xoti's Lantern (Threshing Aura), <20% damage (everyone) Baubles of the Fin, +3% (everyone) Shattered Vengeance (Shards of Woedica) up to 25% taken (multiple effects can be obtain with summon by the way) (the list of items giving some PL bonus is below) Maybe I forgot some other items, and some others are specialized : Dire Talon : Tooth and Claw ( +10 cc and damage against beast) is universal Aamiina Legacy : Slayer of Beasts (+10 Accuracy and damage against Beasts) is universal Wicked Beast : Wild Heart (+15% damage against Beasts) is universal Amaliorra : Ash and Dust (+10 acc against Vessels) is universal Amaliorra : Innevitable Decay (+20% damage against Vessels) is universal Whispers of Yenwood : Soul Cutter (+20% Damage and +15 Acc against Spirits) is universal Bane Spirit (+20% damage against spirits) is universal (from the Spoil of Caed Nua Mod) There are also some abilities and passives that can increase the DoT damages : Takedown Combo (ranger) give +100 damage until a new direct attack that deal damage (for everyone's DoT) Hunter's Fang (ranger) < to 20% vs the enemies race (self) Sworn Enemy (and upgrades, paladin), +20% damage vs designed enemy (self ) Inspired Beacon (paladin), +40% damage (everyone ) Blooded (barbarian), +25% damage when bloodied (self ) Wilder Hunter (barbarian), +25% damage vs wilder (self ) Fighting Spirit (human), +15% damage when bloodied (self) Death's Usher (death godlike), +20% damage vs near death (self) Infamous Captain (Watcher) +5% damage (self) Ascended (Ascendant) +3 cipher PL, +20% damage (self) Resting Bonus : Bloody Mess (The Kraken Eye, if you choose violence for resolve The Better Man) +10% damage (self) Cleansing Flame (SC priest or scrolls) +100% tick rate during the effect All these bonus are working on current and further DoT, and are not anymore effectives when over (Blooded, Fighting Spirit, etc) For PL bonus, there are many way to gain some PL, from subclasses, races (godlikes), weapons, trinckets, ect. Considering only Generic PL, I made previously a topic about this, that take into account the scaling rules : https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/126420-prestige-enchantment-the-scaling-transcendant-suffering-overview/ For Keyworded PL, every bonus stack on top of generic PL but not from two same weapons (2 Sun and Moon allow +2PL, not 4, and 1 Sun and Moon + 1 Magran's Favor allow +4PL). By the same way, Acute and Brilliant from items seems to stack 1 PL with "ordinary" acute and brilliant. I'm not really sure because, when these effects are stacking, in the Character menu the second inspiration mention only the name of the inspiration, not the bonus (like ordinary). Lance of the Midwood Stag (Lord of the Forest) +2PL (generic) while under a plant status effect (self) Wicked Beast (Wild Heart) +2PL for Beast KW The Spine of Thicket Green (empowering Instincts)+3PL for Beast KW or (empowering Lifeblood) +2PL for Plant KW Magran's Favor (Fiery/Blazing Core) +2PL for Fire KW Sun and Moon (Celestial Attunement) +2PL for Fire KW (day) The Weyc's Wand (after empowering something) +3 generic PL Spider Silk Robe (Poison Master) +2 Poison KW PL (require BPM to work) Mask of the Grotto Deep +2Poison KW PL (Require BPM to work) Some pets give +1 Fire KW PL I'm not speacking about other KW PL because I dont see any DoT as Wind, Tempest, Electricity, Ice KW. Alchemy increase the poisons (consumables) effect as well do generic and poison KW PL bonus. Arcana increase the scroll PL as well do generic and correspondant PL bonus.1 point

For a given ability, the tooltip will change to reflect the damage based on your Might, or the duration based on your Int. However, if you have more Int and a DoT (damage over time) ability is lengthened accordingly, this doesn't also increase the total damage listed on the tooltip. In order for DPS (damage per second) to remain constant, the total damage of a DoT would have to increase with greater Int. So does it, and it's just not reflected in the tooltip? Otherwise, what you would have is the ridiculous situation that lower Int, while shortening the duration of DoTs, would actually increase their DPS. A good example of where this can matter is how I build my ranger. I would more readily give her only 3 Int if her Wounding Shot would do the same damage in less time. Edit: I see the tooltip of Wounding Shot has its hobble duration reduced by less Int, but its DoT effect still claims to last a full 12 sec. Perhaps physical abilities behave differently than spells this way? What about spells, like Necrotic Lance or Chill Fog?1 point
