  2. Re: Hogwart's - I had a lot of fun with it (even tho for myself, I also had a lot of crash issues ) but it is rather simplistic. To me more of an causal adventure romp game vs. an rpg - no true choices/consequences, no real depth. I've seen the movies (they were ok, nothing that memorable for me), haven't read the books, am not a potter universe person. Game is light fun, but not something one is probably going to replay, as example. But I definitely had a lot of fun with it. =========== Patron journey continues (I have nothing better to do apparently) - to kind of repeat myself, since I'm a city builder "efficiency" person, my main long term goal is usually about just expanding the city/population until it fills a map or performance tanks. I have maybe .05% interest in making realistic/pretty towns. But it's easy to 'master' the loops, and the cycle (in Patron) is about once a year you get more workers trickling in etc. In other words ... it's 2024. Why do modern city builders still limit you to only 10X speed? I think we can handle 20x now. Why? Why? Also, why do ppl in houses complain about no schools when there are three schools other within radius (I build four, overlapping radius), and only the one is totally full? Just go to one of the other ones. Or ppl who complain there's no houses when there are like 10 empty Shelters. Idiots. Bad design/glitchy AI or something. Irritating.

  3. So now I have a Phalanx Soldier. Also in the process of converting a Foot Soldier. Same skillset but sword&board instead of spear.

  4. Anything that zeroes at around 200 to 300 meters should be good to go for it. Since the bullet drop is quite harsh, it's primarily supposed to be used in close range encounters.

  5. For one, whatever people think of him now, the man did a lot good as a trial lawyer in his past. For example, he's the man that took Monsanto, multi-time winner of the prestigious Most Evil Company in the World Award, to task. Also, I agree with many of his stances, definitely not all, but more than the alternatives, that's for sure. Granted, candidates often make promises they have no intention of keeping on the campaign trail, that's politics. Still, at least there's a chance, however small, that he fulfills his campaign promises, whereas I already know for certain that Biden and The Donald are blowing smoke up our asses. However, my support for Bobby has as much to do with what the alternatives are as the man himself. The other choices are Biden and The Donald, 2 of the most evil, vile, loathsome, disgusting, dishonest, pieces of garbage that this planet has ever produced. Would Bobby Kennedy make a good president? Perhaps, perhaps not; we won't know for sure until it happens. I know with absolute certainty that Biden and The Donald are AWFUL presidents, because I've experienced both of their terms already. I know exactly what I'm going to get with either of the 2 main party candidates and the thought of either is enough to make me want to vomit, not to mention move back to Poland.

  6. Just another wackadoo. If his last name wasnt Kennedy we probably wouldnt have ever heard about him.

  7. Amadeus (1984) Director's Cut Like the recent Elvis movie, this is a biopic where the main character isn't the subject. Unlike Elvis, instead of a greedy manager in the spotlight we have a seething Salieri who is disgusted that a vulgar creature like Mozart is more talented than him while also being in awe of him. It's also got ye olde costumes that look hilarious now like the powdered wigs. Yuge reccomend.

  8. Yes but with a caveat, like I mentioned it doesnt have adult themes but that doesnt mean you wont enjoy it and it does have engaging components. I didnt get the thrill of exploring and risk vs reward like in normal RPG For example the beasts are all cute and you dont really feel like you MUST kill the monsters because they truly diabolical like a Daedra or Baatezu with the exceptions of spiders which I hate in any game. And almost all your companions are teenagers and kids which was a bit weird and unusual for me but thats how Hogwarts is suppose to be by design And then as you mentioned the books are written for a younger audience but adults do read and enjoy them which is the most important thing, adults are reading. And you dont want to shame people to suggest " why you reading a children's book " But Hogwarts is light-hearted fantasy game and you will enjoy it if you understand its narrative limitations compared to " adult " RPG

  9. I'm 47 and I had a blast playing it last year... Okay, I was 46 back then. It's a fun game that can be enjoyed by a person of any age.

  10. I'd say your mileage may vary. Harry Potter books and movies were incredibly popular with adults as well as children, so the short answer would be yes. It certainly isn't PAW Patrol.

  12. No mod. You can buy a barber set to give to prisoners to increase loyalty. It basically let's you alter their appearance a bit (hair, facial hair). The concept is that you have male prisoners and you let them shave, showing them you trust them with a small blade.

  13. Stray Blade. Defeated the first main boss by face-tanking and hitting it with a halberd. Spent 2 hours running in circles before that - the goal of the past 7 hours was to find a way around several locked gates and collapsed bridges to the boss, so I suppose it is on point. Encountered 1 rather unpleasant bug - a weapon blueprint, thus, a skill upgrade, was not dropping. It was resolved by switching to the beta branch, then back. Story-wise, it is funny that the NPC companion wants the invaders out of the Valley, because they kill and destroy everything there, including each other, and this is exactly what the MC and the companion have been doing throughout the game. Except destroying buildings - the buildings are invulnerable. So, it is either some meta commentary or a ludonarrative dissonance. So, overall, the game is not terrible, but I would have felt bad if I didn't get in a bundle. Granted, another game from the same bundle tried to fry my CPU, so this is definitely an improvement. And the story might get better.

  14. I completed the Wilhelmina romance quest in DD2, it's called Every Rose Has It's Thorn. It wasn't what I expected... I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't that. It was a fun quest chain and I got a sexy time scene at the end, albeit a short one. I'm not going to post any pictures of it, though.

  15. This is 3 months old but can at least report that Wizard/Chanter Fassina is pretty solid as backline support/AoE damage after playing with her for most of the game after doing the vault. From level 11 she can do Infuse With Vital Essence -> The Brideman Slew Thirty (solid party buff even before upgrade) -> Deleterious Alacrity -> Kalakoths Minor Blights (dual-wielded with sashas scimitar for the action speed aura) -> Essential Phantom -> Eldritch Aim (all but Essential Phantom being very fast casting) while chanting Sure -Handed Ila + Mith Fyr to buff herself and her Phantom which is amazing at mid levels and still good at higher levels esp. if you have any gun user next to her. Also as Wizard/Chanter she gets +2 Int from the ring Chameleons Touch which is nice for her.

  16. The last couple nights I have woken up to find myself on the floor. Once from my low mattress, once while on the higher couch (hubby walked down the hall to find me sprawled on the floor, blankets strewn around lol). So far I have not injured myself, bruised a hip a little. It's probably more like half-rolling, half sliding off, I suppose. When I was a kid (up to 10ish) I used to roll out of the bed/onto the floor frequently - didn't usually wake me up, I was just on the floor in the morning. Once fell off a top bunk during a trip, that sort of stuff. Ha. At some point in my early teens I started sleeping like a stone, generally never moving, blankets totally undisturbed etc, Apparently I'm reverting to childhood again. Pfffft. Well if I'm lucky it won't continue much. If it does I'll have to put pillows/pads by the bed/couch etc. since I'm not 8 anymore, more likely to injure. Sigh.

  17. Tuna salad sammiches I can never find good rye bread unless I go to a specialty store. All the others around here might as well be pure caraway and I think more than a tiny hint is way too much.
