I completed SoZ after about 60 hours and it was a fantastic experience, it easily scores 73/100 on the influential " BruceVC game rating system " I thought the new mechanics were really well done and fun and they include the map, good idea to explore and for random encounters the merchant trade system, once I understood it and built up my merchant company it was very rewarding seeing things progress. Great feature It was interesting but I completed most side quests, except for West Harbor which I somehow didnt discover, but when I got to the final battle with the Zehir priests I was only level 12-13 and I got slaughtered about 4-5 times. So I went back to exploring the map and raised my overall levels to 14 and then I was able to defeat the final end bosses But great game overall and the entire NWN2 trilogy is highly recommended for anyone who loves D&D rules with a compelling and worthwhile narrative Now Im playing PoE White March1&2, I have just started and its interesting the obvious differences between that ruleset and any D&D game4 points

Nerf pack french translation: Could not translate line 49: "Beseeches the gods for more time, halving the elapsing speed of all beneficial effects (except itself) on allies in the area during the duration of the effect." Below is the vanilla translation: "Implore les dieux d'accorder davantage de temps, ce qui prolonge tous les effets bénéfiques sur les alliés présents dans la zone d'effet." - I just don't understand the new changes. I even red the description of this change for Salvation of Time on the BPM mod page on nexus...I still don't undersand - Also I don't understand this change: <ID>31139</ID> <DefaultText>Dramatically increases damage done from Stealth or Invisibility. Bonus is doubled against targets that are only Hurt or Above. The rogue may use melee or ranged weapons but must be within 2m of the target.</DefaultText> The rogue deals more damage on enemies that are Hurt or in a better shape ? Isn't it a mistake, and more damage on ennemies hurt or below / in a worse shape ? abilities.stringtable cyclopedia.stringtable gui.stringtable statuseffects.stringtable2 points

@Hawke64 did you play Coteries of new York first? Shadows is the sequel. It has two endings because coteries had only one, regardless of what you did, and people complained. Coteries was better and the terrible ending made sense lore wise even if it was very unsatisfying. But in general you get more fun out of werewolf heart of darkness. Again it is a short VN and at some point during the second play through you realise again that your choice matter very little. But it is just well done. The first play through is great. If you can stand a VN.2 points

Thank you for your work, I will look into that, it's juste that I won't be able to do it for a couple of weeks? Not, it's not. BPM Backstab works better on target that "haven't yet be caught into the heat of battle". It's not even an "original design" Unsuspecting Strike - Guild Wars Wiki (GWW) Basically, it incitates to engage against a specific target with a strike from the shadows. And when the health is low, then it's time for Finishing Blow line. It encourages combos more than using always the same attack. BPM backstab is not a strict buff : - At low level, about same damages as before against >50% targets - At low level, about twice less damages than before against <50% targets - At high level, about twice more damages than before against >50% targets - At low level, about same damages as before against <50% targets - Works with both attacks from a full attack, instead of working only on the first (backstab effect persists 1 fixed second after invisibility) Overall, it feels stronger but slightly more tactical to use. Yes, it is a passive, the -5 stacks with everything. Miasma of Dull-Mindness targets PER, INT, RES. It would have stacked anyway. But BPM Persistant Distraction would have not stacked with Shining Beacon if it wasn't a passive.1 point

There's plenty of room on the bus, I'll open the door for ya. It may be a short bus but we can fit more people. It's like one of those cars at the circus that 17 clowns come out of, or like when they show the exterior of a townhouse in a show or movie then they cut to a 30' x 30' living room that couldn't possibly fit inside it.1 point

I liked Swansong but I might be the only person on Earth who did. Also, I watch Neil Breen movies, so... What I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't take advice from a guy that may well be rocking back and forth in a chair shaking his head for hours on end one day.1 point

I started Swansong the other day, but I was tired so I immediately quit again. The werewolf games are very different from one another. Heart of the Forest is a VN. A good VN and a great introduction to the setting. Earthblood is an action game, in which you rip people's spines out. I was very positively surprised by Earthblood though. It has one choice that matters at the end, to lead to one of two endings I guess, but generally it tells a dark WOD story and explores the setting far better than the trailers would make you believe.1 point

After some break from Dark Souls Remastered caused by Low Fuel Motorsport introducing custom Balance of Power to GT4 racing, I went back to optional Bosses, and defeated both Priscilla and Gwyndolin. They were not much trouble, although I have made a misstep at Gwyndolin, and had to repeat the fight. Then another break filled with GT4 racing and yesterday I had finally some mood to start the DLC. As expected, the first boss did not pose much trouble, although I had to repeat the fight, due to me wanting to have his Tail cut, but all went well, and IIRC, on third try, I had both his Tail Weapon and his Soul Then, of course the first area came to play... aaaand as always, I was not much impressed. The Stone Guardians just kicked my ass repeatedly, and it took me another hour and half to pick up all the items and unlock the shortcut to Artorias Arena. I hope that I will be able to fight and defeat him today. It will definitely be test of my will as I have never fought DLC bosses with melee weapons only, and I know how big PitA can Artorias be, even for easy mode casters. Wish me luck1 point

I'm continuing my mainland Morrowind adventures. I'm kind of curious if I can get to and from Vvardenfell without fast traveling. I can see the peninsula that Ebonheart is on, partially because I'm running on 5X draw distance, but still. I could try swimming, but don't want to deal with all the sea creatures. Once I get my alteration skill higher (read: 50+) I'll get a longer duration water walking spell and test whether there is an invisible wall to stop me or not. I did wind up finding the thief that stole my money. She offered to give me back my money to avoid conflict and I took her up on her offer. I had the option of attacking her or trying to apprehend her to bring to the authorities, but I only really wanted my money back and if the authorities wanted her captured they could have done it themselves. They were the ones that told me where she tended to hide out. There were several paupers also living in those same Dwemer ruins. Had she told me she was using the money to help the homeless, I would have believed her and let her keep the money, 500 gold isn't a big deal to me. But she didn't so I took my money and left. I'm currently on a pilgrimage so I headed toward the mining town of Bodrum, since it has a shrine I need to visit nearby. There is a Daedric shrine near Andothren and I explored it. The cultists inside didn't take kindly to that, but they were no match for me. I talked to the guardian inside and she told me that I killed her cultists but they were annoying $#!+s so she left me alone. Fair enough. I looted the crap out of the shrine but made sure to do so out of her sight. I then stopped at the fishing/harbor village of Teys for the night on my way west: After a long hike along the coast then through some mountains, I crossed a river and neared Bodrum. Here are what looks to be Dwemer ruins near the town off in the distance: And the town itself: A+ for consistency so far. Andothren very much resembles Balmora in architecture, which makes sense since it's a Hlaalu city. Bodrum is a Redoran town and the architecture reflects that.1 point

I believe Starfield has sold well, so I'm not sure it is the disaster that Redfall was. It's basically Skyrim in space, so I don't know why it wouldn't meet expectations. I guess being a new IP might be the only difficult sales part.1 point

Hmm. I wonder. Hmm. ....well, it's possible (re: "forcing" excessive base radius limit) but maybe not very advisable. Deleted the longest connector bridge to save building-parts count #'s, plus it's too far away for walkin' so I'd just fly to that mt. top anyway. I had to radius-glitch over there to build a landing pad first tho. Anyway, not sure I really like this result (I might change it) but it was kinda fun trying. Plus now I'm more knowledgeable in case I ever find a better "spot." ...now I just have to remember to always save/exit on the landing pad/ship, so I don't fall thru the floor on save-loading, like so often happens if you use a portable save-point beacon placed on a floor tile, instead. >.> Edit: It'd be cool to build an entire "city" in the sky, filling up that whole space between pillars, but there's this parts-limit per base - 3000 if you want to upload/share it - and a total parts for entire single save (20k?). You can reach that really quickly if you go crazy. EVERY power connecting wire you use counts as a "part", stuff like that.1 point

I've been in stitches for the past day since starting to watch Love is War, my eyes are hurting from all the tears from laughing and the pain in my sides. The show is really cuuuute, sometimes painfully so, but the english narrator really lifts it and turns the humour to new heights!1 point

Found the issue. It is with the duration of the status effect. In "Pillars of Eternity II\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\exported\design\gamedata/statuseffect.gamedatabundle", "Barbaric_Smash_SE_OnKill" has a duration of 0.15. So any arrow taking longer will not trigger the event. This is my guess. Changing it to 1 or 2 fixed the issue. {"$type":"Game.GameData.StatusEffectGameData, Assembly-CSharp","DebugName":"Barbaric_Smash_SE_OnKill","ID":"44662340-aed1-4bc4-ac2f-01ad1a6c4512","Components":[{"$type":"Game.GameData.StatusEffectComponent, Assembly-CSharp","StatusEffectType":"ApplyStatusEffectOnEvent","OverrideDescriptionString":-1,"OverrideDescriptionStringTactical":-1,"UseStatusEffectValueAs":"None","BaseValue":0,"DynamicValue":{"Stat":"None","SkillDataID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","ClassID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","MultiplyBy":1,"Operator":"Add"},"KeywordsIDs":[],"DurationType":"UseDurationTime","Duration":0.1,"MaxStackQuantity":0,"ApplicationBehavior":"UseLongerDurationIfAlreadyApplied","ApplicationType":"ApplyOnStart","IntervalRateID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","StackedChildrenApplyEffects":"false","InclusionConditions":{"Operator":0,"Components":[]},"ApplicationPrerequisites":{"Conditional":{"Operator":0,"Components":[]}},"TriggerAdjustment":{"TriggerOnEvent":"OnScoringKill","TriggerOffEvent":"None","ValidateWithAttackFilter":"false","ParamValue":0,"ValueAdjustment":0,"DurationAdjustment":0,"ResetTriggerOnEffectTimeout":"false","MaxTriggerCount":1,"IgnoreMaxTriggerCount":"false","RemoveEffectAtMax":"true","ChanceToTrigger":1},"PowerLevelScaling":{"UseCharacterLevel":"false","BaseLevel":0,"LevelIncrement":1,"MaxLevel":0,"ValueAdjustment":0,"DurationAdjustment":0},"IsHostile":"false","ClearOnCombatEnd":"false","ClearOnRest":"false","ClearOnFoodRest":"false","ClearWhenAttacks":"false","ClearOnDeath":"false","HideFromCombatTooltip":"false","HideFromCombatLog":"false","HideFromUI":"false","HideIfNoValue":"false","VisualEffects":[],"MaterialReplacementID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","AttackFilter":{"KeywordsIDs":[],"KeywordLogic":"Or","Race":"None","IsKith":"false","HealthPercentage":0,"HealthOperator":"EqualTo","Range":"None","ClassTypeID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","Source":"None","DefendedBy":"None","Empowered":"false","Disengagement":"false","Stealthed":"false","UseStealthLinger":"false","PowerLevel":0,"PowerLevelOperator":"EqualTo","ChanceToApply":1,"AttackHostility":"Default","TargetType":"None"},"AttackTargetFilter":{"KeywordsIDs":[],"KeywordLogic":"Or","Race":"None","IsKith":"false","HealthPercentage":0,"HealthOperator":"EqualTo","Distance":0,"DistanceOperator":"EqualTo","HasDOT":"false","IsMarked":"false","TargetHostility":"Default"},"ExtraValue":0,"OverridePenetration":0,"DamageTypeValue":"All","KeywordValueID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","RaceValue":"None","StatusEffectTypeValue":"None","ItemValueID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","AfflictionTypeValueID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","StatusEffectsValueIDs":["d4ccfa85-9065-490c-9673-63255a66ac1b"],"AttackValueID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","AttackOverrideValue":"None","EventValue":"OnScoringKill","ClassValueID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","WeaponTypeValue":"None","AttackHitType":"None","SkillValueID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","AudioEventListID":"00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000","BedRestDaysMinimum":0,"BedRestDaysMaximum":0}]}1 point

I have an addendum to make to my previous post about Slay the Princess that I totally forgot about until I was reading your post: I heard like two lines of the voice work in that game and then I completely muted the voice audio for the rest of the game. This isn't really all that important, but I just wanted to note this in case anybody thought I actually played through an entire visual novel with the voice-acting on - hell no, you'd have to have some outstanding voice-acting for me to do that, and...no, that game definitely did not have it. Well, I don't know, maybe it did, I did only listen to like two lines before muting it, so what the heck do I know? But voice-acting in games that are all dialogue is pretty much intolerable, as far as I'm concerned - it slows games down massively to have to listen to all of it, and if the voices aren't just right, it can really throw the whole atmosphere into question pretty much immediately. I always thought the Infinity Engine games had the right of it in only voicing lines sparingly/appropriately - use it to establish a character by all means, and use it for moments important to those characters and the plot, heck yeah...but every single line all the time? Eh.1 point
