Okay. This day is officially over. I am, for a lack of a better term, exhausted by the sheer amount of incompetence of what feels like everyone working in IT. I ask someone from which IP address(es) they are going to connect to our system for the data transfer as we need to white list on the firewall, and the answer is: 192.168.XXX.XXX.2 points

I don't know why everybody isn't using year/month/day...anyone who's ever sorted anything by date should know that's literally the only way that makes sense. I had one of my Windows PCs run for about a month and a half straight. All sorts of weird crap* started happening for the last couple of weeks, but for reasons, I couldn't shut it down until just a few days ago. I wouldn't necessarily worry about it. *Like File Explorer hanging itself over and over, SMART data not being reported by the disk drives, disappearing disks, desktop UI straight up refusing to do anything I tell it to, massive memory leaks in certain processes that are usually perfectly fine, network adapter randomly dying, certain programs refusing to open, empty folders taking minutes to open... All fixed with a restart. Don't leave a Windows PC running that long, I guess.2 points

Snowpiercer (2013). I'd been looking forward to this one for a long time after having seen and loved Parasite. It was a fairly bleh Hollywood-feeling affair through and through, though I would say at least above average for that - still not my cup of tea. I'm glad Bong Joo Ho decided to do something different after that, though this leaves me in the position of not knowing whether or not I should check out the rest of what he made.1 point

Found out that we got some wrong information about a certain date from our reseller, because Muricans just can't write dates. 01/10/2023 is somehow not in October.1 point

45 hours and Skyhold means you're taking it reaaallllyyy slow.1 point

Im now about 45 hours into DA:I and I have reached Skyhold. I am enjoying this game, my experience has improved as the game progressed. I will raise the negative things I dont particularly like about it first map markers mean there is no real challenge or excitement around exploration. its console designed which limits the combat complexity and strategic choices in combat like in BG1&2 and D:OS2. I end up relying on AI for battles because its not really worth it managing each party member. Saying all that there are still fun and difficult battles like the Alexius quest with the mages and then I enjoy closing the Rifts and the various strategies around this I am using both DAI and Frosty mods and the overall stability is not great in the sense I have to constantly delete the Frosty mod data folder and do other minor troubleshooting every 5-6 times I play. I also had to troubleshoot a major mod bug when I got to Skyhold that caused a white screen when you cannot progress Now what I like about it I like the overall narrative and political machinations that exist in the game world between factions and people. I am enjoying the fact I am the Inquisitor and can encourage\force people to support my ideology to save the world. Any traitors or non-believers must be arrested, converted or killed Its a beautiful game, I have maxed the graphic settings with my video card and I like the aesthetics that Frostbite creates I enjoy the crafting and how you need to constantly find materials, like elfroot and iron, to improve items. It makes exploration worthwhile there are hot women in the game like Leliana and Josephine. I am avoiding any Romance arcs with Cassandra but she is an effective combat asset I do appreciate parts of the combat like Fire Mine to deal AOE damage I like the various party members and there side-quests So overall a good experience and I will provide another update after 40 hours or so1 point

Still on Dark Souls 3. Finished all the Lords of Cinder and am moving on to DLC before hitting up Archdragon Peak and the finale. I'm glad I did, because Lothric's Greatsword is absolutely killing Ashes of Ariandel. Chopping down trees with a flaming ultra greatsword is a good time.1 point

Yeah, killing Dorudugan without 0 recovery from cheesy prolonging some effect is probably one of the most challenging things, not sure it's possible. I think with a chanter/troubadour it is essential to try and keep Doru blocked/surrounded by 3 summons while the other ones/the player try to get the fire bombs away from him so he can't move where the bombs can explode and heal him. There are still attacks that you can't control where he fires the terrain, but limiting the bombs healing is already a huge help Best way to use the painlinked wurms with him/the fire dragon/the lich dragon or anything super tough with engagement is to move the wurms so they get engaged and disengage them ASAP so they get disengage attack crits, they should die in 3/4 melee hits and do almost 25% of their health as damage (unless you are unlucky and you are fighting a vampiric enemy, then painlink is less useful)1 point

Yeah, I can understand criticism from that viewpoint of where eps 3 seems like too much filler. While I'm familiar with the big plot beats/spoilers of the game, I do not have any details/lore or exact game moments in my head/memorized nor any large attachment to specific chr. beats. I wonder if this might be one of the more ideal places to watch the show from, heh. I did find ep3 a bit of a surprise as that relationship segment went on and on, but it was so well done I simply enjoyed it. Plus I understood the different tonal direction they wanted to take vs. the game, re: how the bottom line of how one chr. reaches a motivational place from influence of a minor chr. To me it kind of reminded me of how, in STTNG, after the exciting Picard/Borg episodes, there was that lull episode of Picard at his brother's farm. That could be seen as "filler" too but it was important re: Picard's character. It's not an exact parallel, I know, since the Picard on farm was still focused on ... well, Picard ... but it felt similar in concept. Edit: The one thing re: game vs. show that I've noticed is that Ellie feels a lot more - brash/bold, almost to the negative "stupid horror chr. actions" archetype - at times. They changed that dynamic a bit. It's made me not like Ellie as much, at least initially.1 point

I like everything except for the structures being destroyed. A lot of work goes into building and to have it destroyed in a singular moment would just be devastating. So many different types of armor and weapons and accessories can be crafted from these bugs being added.1 point

He seem to want to annex parts or even whole Bosnia and Herzegovina to Croatia, remove political rights from Bosnians. He for example put ultimatum that Croatia will not support Finland's and Sweden's Nato membership if west does not support special rights for Bosnia and Herzegovina's Croats, although Croatian government just ignored his statements. So it should not be surprise that he has warm feelings to like minded leaders. Even though what is said is reported by our news they are mostly just ignored by people as president doesn't hold much of real power in Croatian . Prime minister leads the government, which holds power to do any meaningful decisions.1 point

This may not be a big achievement by the standards of this forum but I'm pretty proud of myself after trying for this for several years. My personal rules included 1) no watching YouTube videos for cheese tactics, and no direct copying of builds from this forum or elsewhere; 2) using only story characters in the party (apart from hiring one mercenary in Gilded Vale to get through Act I); 3) no using a backup save file without Trial of Iron enabled to test combat tactics; 4) no force-quitting or other obvious cheating. However, I did allow myself to consult the wiki for certain stat checks and so on. After so many failed attempts, this became a necessary time-saver. I'd come close to getting Triple Crown several times before but failed in the usual spots (Lagufaeth, dragons, Kaoto, Thaos). Eventually I realized that the best strategy, given my rules, was to be at the maximum possible level for every difficult encounter. Which meant that as cautiously as I thought I'd been playing, it wasn't cautiously enough -- for example, delving deeply into the Endless Paths at a low level just to grab Persistence, etc., is a bad strategy for getting the Triple Crown and Frozen Crown achievements. I also had better results rotating characters through my party as opposed to focusing on six characters exclusively; in my failed attempts, I tended to over-rely on Eder and certain other characters I realized I was bringing along mostly out of habit. Some classes are just better suited to certain encounters than others. And I did have luck on my side once or twice with this successful run -- especially when I made it through the Abbey of the Fallen moon without having to confront the High Abbot at all. I really had thought that was impossible, but this game continues to surprise after so many hours. My endgame party was: 1) PC: Human monk built for speed with turning wheel and iron wheel as the bread and butter damage skills, Maneha's armor, Shod-in-Faith, Drawn in Spring and Bittercut, and Scon Mica's Roar. 2) Zahua built to tank and wielding two stunning Cladhalíaths. 3) Pallegina built for fire damage (especially Firebrand) and a little support. 4) Grieving Mother with the Lead Splitter doing crowd control. 5) Durance with an arquebus doing buffs and heals. 6) Aloth with Gyrd Háewanes Sténes and Abydon's Hammer doing damage or whatever else is needed. As frustrating as it could be to lose again and again at this challenge, finally beating it made for some extremely satisfying gaming. I think I'm going to import this character into Deadfire for a trial of iron run on normal difficulty, because Deadfire's PotD is much harder. Thanks to everyone here for all your helpful posts!1 point

That's good (and sad) findings, but unfortunately this is about the harcoded part of the effect. Not something that could be addressed by tweaking Gamedata.0 points
