  2. So far the weakest goodie bag by GOG. But free is free
  3. The x-rays were dated and I saw them side by side so there were minor differences in angle. And, while they are victims of budget cuts, it manifests in lengthy queues for non-emergency surgeries. Which means that I'll likely have to wait a loooong time for surgery
  4. Do you consider yourself a chatty person in RL? Do you enjoy chatting to strangers in supermarket lines or striking up a conversation with someone on a plane Im generally very chatty. I talk all the time if people want to engage and most of the time they do but I can read signs if someone doesnt want to chat and thats fine, I find women are generally much friendlier with random conversation Its funny because on planes I have occasions where someone has said " sorry Im not being rude but I dont want to talk " and I say something like " no problem, I completely understand. I prefer people being honest and not feeling obliged to have a conversation on a flight " and they say " yes, I can tell you like to talk which is why Im telling you " And thats perfectly fine, especially on a plane. You have every right to not engage in random conversation if you dont want to
  5. I am happy to see game developers having reliable employment. I never liked CDPR games, which seemed only to worsen since TW1, so hopefully, there will be no similarities. Larian games might have issues, but they are improving in some aspects. As the meme goes, "Stupid sexy Bioware". There is a very good chance that despite the DRM and rather poor system requirements (considering that it is an AAA, the graphics might be a priority), I will purchase it near the release date.

  8. Do you think RTwP games can learn at least something from Larian? I've finally tried BG3 (didn't finish it though, computer can't handle it mid to late game), it's clearly by far the best combat from Larian and even for a TB "hater" like me, I have to admit I can't complain about pretty much anything except for it being TB. I've seen people arguing that the Larian style of terrain utilizing and verticality are hard to adapt for RT or RTwP, but I don't know, isn't using Z-axis already in modern ACT or general RPGs? Maybe it's something technical, rather than a design problem? It's kind of funny that BG3 as a turn-based game allows saving mid-combat, while I've seen at various points in Pathfinder games, the auto-save checkpoints Owlcat put there don't work because they conflict with a cutscene or combat has begun, so a reload means going through cutscenes and dialogues again and again. I think this choice from Larian also helps reduce the punishment on player's mistakes.
  9. About to start on my favourite slime hero (watched first episode a while ago), but otherwise at a bit of a loss what to watch next. I loved Ergo Proxy and Heavenly Delusion, absolutely adored Gushing over Magical Girls and... Frieren? I doubt I'll find an adventure that will captivate me to that degree again. Metallic Rouge was enjoyable too, even if not into the whole fighting and "mecha" kind of thing. If these shows have anything in common, it's probably that they don't have anything in common Ah well, hope Rimuru sticks around a while yet

  11. My save is over 120 days in. I have defeated the assistant manager a while ago and already have the keycard for the koi pond door. When I entered the small lab room for the first time, the button to the stump lab was already pressed, despite me never entering that room before then. Even the door accessed by the assistant manager keycard was still locked. I figured if the button was already pressed, that meant the stump lab was open. I went up to the stump lab and the door is red with the message that it's still locked. I tried looking on Google but all it says is to make sure you have the assistant keycard, not what happens if the button is already pressed before you even reach it. And yes, I unlocked the door with the keycard leading to the chest with the right side charm in it, so that room is fully explored now.
  12. I don't think the marketing was there for it. Only us geeks who frequent this forum knew about it! I didn't love the first game but I was still excited for this. The pirates theme was OK to me, it's a bit different.
  13. Azdeus, make sure they aren't just victims of budget cuts, using the same x-ray since November for all patients. LC, I take post-its with me to dentists, with pre written answers that I can hold up. It totally breaks their chattyness flow.
  14. So maybe a year ago one of my upper back molars broke in half/off. But since I'm silly/stupid and almost never do the dentist thing, and there was no pain (I assume it "died" at some point, so it cracked), I didn't do anything about it. Then a lower back molar started to shift rotation and wiggle a bit. Then this week the gum above the broken upper molar finally had an infection. So today I had both removed. Dentistry has improved a lot in 17 years. No pain, fast. Those 3d images of your teeth they can do etc are pretty neat too. Other than those two teeth, everything else looked pretty good, weirdly enough. They have no idea why the one started wiggling. Per usual I'm complimented on having a mouth that never seems to produce tartar even after decades. After healing months I may get some implants. I explain all that because like many before me, as I lie half asleep in a chair as my jaw is tugged and pulled around, I kept asking myself: WHY do dentists/cleaners always yap at you and ask chatty questions while they have tools/fingers in your mouth - it's not like you can answer.
  15. Duckduckgo. It's been giving me 'weird' results for a while now. Not all the time by any means, but sometimes it's completely useless when looking for something specific if you don't know exactly what the algorithm wants used as terms. If I search for "Drunk robert muldoon calls snap election" it is there, it seems that adding 'new zealand' and '1984' and not specifying Sir Rob was 'drunk' makes the video irrelevant somehow.. ..and if I do a search specifically for videos it isn't there even when using the exact title.
  16. I would think that wall mounted bases would be pretty cool. I know you can just place platforms in cracks on walls, but it would be easier to just place wall mounted platforms to make such a feat easier. It would make building wall mounted bases much easier and way faster.
  17. That's a pretty low bar. I think they can fulfill that. It seems they're chasing another trend though (did they ever do different?): Combat similar to Gods Of War this time 'round. Personally I'm super glad I don't have to rely on Bioware, Bethesda or tiny indies anymore exclusively. Best thing that has happened in the past ten industry years. Well that, and Immersive Sims having another run (though it's come to an end with Deus Ex put on hiatus again, the Thief reboot misfiring from the go -- and Arkane's future in limbo). And now for something completely different: Gonna go watch Furiosa. WHAT A DAY WHAT A LOVELY DAY.
  18. Excellent question! The doc is going to talk to a specialist and then get back to me, even though I was curious they have a tonne of work so I didn't ask many questions. The xray I saw it looked like the two pieces hadn't touched and healed together but went their separate ways. I'll be asking more over the phone when they call.
  19. https://wccftech.com/dragon-age-dreadwolf-has-everyone-at-bioware-really-happy-with-how-it-turned-out/ It's the #1 game in my Steam wishlist, so I want it to be good <fingers crossed>. Don't have much else in the way of what I want: a party-based fantasy RPG that is NOT turn-based combat.
