Playing with a party most of times I usually don't use any of the otherwise great debuffing weapon modals (club, morning star etc.) on a Psion because I don't want to go near enemies. For any other Cipher subclass it would make a lot of sense though. Hitting the enemy with a Bewildering Blow before applying a Deception spell to gain some focus while also lower Will by 25 points should increase the hit quality of the spell a lot. I'm no too concerned about recovery penalty with Psions because you'll have to wait a bit for more focus from time to time - might as well make the wait count (with higher AR and other defensive goodies). So stuff like Casita Samelia's Legacy or even Nomad's Brigandine is fine for me even if I'm an offensive-minded character in the first place. But like with a Chanter who gains resorces just by waiting it's generally a great payoff: more defense with little repercussions on offense.

Yesterday, while leaving CostCo and putting our stuff in our car: ---A woman nearly as tall as hubby and about our age approaches, says "don't worry I don't want money" then looks mostly at hubby and proceeds to say she has a bad back plus still recovering from recent surgery or something - could we help her get a giant watermelon/other heavy items out of her cart and into her car. ---I said "Sure, I'll do it" -- and pointed at hubby -- "He has a bad back too." and walked over to her car. --Watermelon was maybe 15+ pounds but easy. Stuff like that is hard on hubby/others because bending/pulling up out of an extra tall/deep cart is stressful - she kept asking if I was sure/was I ok etc - remember I'm super short and not 20 anymore either etc - I made the usual "I'm the strong one now" jokes. ---She and hubby then had a long convo re: backs, surgery/options/doctors as I unloaded our own full cart into our car. It was all rather amusing, from my point of view. Plus hubby was pleased to find someone else in near the same position as him to bounce off of.

Music: Sharing and Listening - Where words fail, music speaks
LadyCrimson replied to ShadySands's topic in Way Off-Topic
Not that anyone here cares but it's what I'm listening to (too much) lately, so I'm gonna yap about it for a minute. Hadn't listened to Stray Kids in quite a while so I caught up. I guess they've become fairly popular - especially internationally perhaps - the past few years. Three of them write most of their lyrics/music. Two are actually Australian/fully bi-lingual, which probably adds to their international appeal. They lost one member so they are now 8 instead of 9. They call this members lines the "Felix Effect" Catches a lot of ppl's attention initially. Which I can relate to since that's what I noticed in their early Victory Song video. The several hits I like best (most of their music is too "noisy" for me, outside of these) I've listened to on repeat so often now that I can now mostly distinguish the member's voices apart, which I usually have no ability to do re: these bands. Their dance choreo videos are great re: hard energy dances - although sometimes with near seizure inducing zoom camera editing >.> - but I pick this one because it's less studio-polished, they aren't doing a mega dance, and seem like they're just having low-pressure fun on stage. (song starts at 1:40) -

I totally agree, this is my Trascendent setup I picked also proficiencies in club and morning stars, because most of cipher and monk abilities target fortitude and will, or make sure your party pick these. You can also pick little and medium shield, dagger and quarterstaff for defense, or wands to help party from distance. For clubs, Kapana Taga is good at attack and defense I'm pushing diplomacy for RPG purpose and it fit well with Aretezzo's Cane if you wanna use a club, it can be good also with Shining Bulwark. Anyway best passive skill for a CC defensive character is history as you say, but if you wanna give the cloack to someone else, with Casita Samelia's Legacy Intimidate is indeed good, and you can use it also with Aretezzo's Cane My two cents, let's hear Boeroer about that

I was thinking about movement around this massive new size map, on the first Grounded there was a fair few ideas i was thinking hang-gliders would be awesome and have points on the ground where you would have to setup fans that would keep you flying around for longer. Yes there are mounts but flying around this crazy size map would be pretty impressive, as in the first Grounded the map is visually stunning so seeing a birds eye view while getting from one point to another would be awesome, even having it so you possibly had launchers to get off the ground and possibly catchers otherwise have it so the mounts could carry the hang-glider t9 heavy for the play to carry unless certain mutation is unlocked like the hauling mutation or something new. Just my ideas atm. What else does everyone else want to see. Or have ingame?

Increase number of coop players
Unseamedfaun replied to Korbinian's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
Definitely would love the player cap to be at least 8 and if someway we could have a online server aswell either that be hosted by you guys or a home server with one that can be locally hosted would be awesome aswell or even a dedicated app on a computer to make it easier for people without the knowledge so they can set it up for there friends or kids and I rekon it would make for an increase in people wanting to play especially if the app just has it so you add all of the players from your friends list have it able to connect to all devices and you can whitelist your friends that want to play, even have it so max cap is 8 players at any time but sometimes not all people play at the same time so you could then have alot more people able to play that world just not all on at the same time.- 5 replies

Meh, I was more annoyed by the Texas dust storms in March. We literally had "dirty rain" which left a fine layer of dirt on everything once it dried. -

As Psion I would pick up Tuotilo's Palm for the +10 deflection/reflex bonus when at 10 wounds (because you want to disincentivize enemies attacking you). Best with the Gladiator Sword I guess (+5 additional deflection). No accuracy penalty. I would also use an armor that raises defenses - for example Casita Samelia's Legacy which can provide +5 Deflection and +5 Will without any skill investment but +10 deflection with 20 Intimidate. It won't clash with Alchemy. Gipon Prudensco may be even better though - it can provide up to +10 deflection/+20 reflex and can aslo be used to become immune to disengagment attacks which is very convenient if you just want to leave a melee enemy without any repercussions. Add some boots of speed. With that setup you will have great defenses and almost never will be the preferred initial target of anybody. This makes playing Psion so much easier because you will seldomly experience as disruption of Soul Mind's focus generation. For fast focus burst (as Beguiler) you coul use Kitchen Stove with Thunderous Report. Also Stunning Surge with Fire in the Hole against groups is very good: great CC and focus gain at the same time. Fire in the Hole (or hand mortar) also works with Tuotilo's Palm of course for a Psion (without focus gain but still the nice stun effect of Stunning Surge in an AoE).

Or Yoshifumi KondÅ. Not that I have watched The Boy and the Heron (yet).

The Boy and the Heron (2023). Uh... Hmm. The initial setup and pacing of the film really stink: it doesn't feel like the film starts until literally the 45 minute mark, and after that, the characters, writing, and direction are all still just...kind of aggravating. I'm very much reminded of a very slow and messy Spirited Away, which was already incredibly inexplicable and messy in of itself...but this is much more meandering and with way less appealing music and characters. Deep and meaningful themes unfortunately don't mean squat if I wasn't able to enjoy the journey meant to relate and explore them. I hope Miyazaki at least found meaning in making it. To be frank, I expected to dislike this movie at the outset, ever since I read the most basic details revealed about it, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised...but somehow, I liked it even less than Ponyo. Man, I wish Isao Takahata were still alive.

Always helping and reliable, thank you Are there any items you think would work very good or have some interesting synergy? (for example weapon slot, for Psion its much less important, but for Beguiler it is for focus gen) And as Nalpazca, its Alchemy, what other skill have some bonus? (apart from History cloak)
-
If I wanted to play a Cipher who' main focus is casting I would def. pick the Psion subclass or the Beguiler. And if it's a CC caster I wouldn't pick Helwalker but Nalpazca (because you don't need the increased MIG an the wound generation would be faster with a Nalpazca). Also I think Psion/Nalpasca is more fitting and interesting thematically ("Soul Mind on Drugs" ). Since you don't want to get damaged as a Psion you'd have to build your wound generation on drugs and (Enduring) Dance of Death - and use the wounds mostly for the +INT boost and the occasional Forge of Anguish to get rid of melee attackers - or maybe even Blade Turning for emergencies? +10 INT + Lingering Echoes + CC (mostly Cipher spells, but also Stunning Surge with an AoE weapon) is an awesome combination for exceptionally long disabling/debuffing durations - and Dance of Death also ensures really nice accuracy for that. You really want to make sure that you don't get attacked too much. So hard disables and mind control as well as a not too inviting (not dumpded) defensive stat line are good. I wouldn' open fights but stay stealthed long enough that the enemies have settled on other party members before I started attacking. This way you can also build up some nice focus and wounds + accuracy in hiding and get buffed by your Priest for even more accuracy - then unleash your CC stuff. The good thing about the Nalpazca/Psion combo is that even IF you get damaged and your focus generation stops briefly you still gain something: more wounds to spend. Yet you can have a nice influx of wounds without getting damaged at all. This can also work well with the Beguiler. Here you'd have the focus generation via Deception spells which can be better in "normal" fights. But in the tougher encounters I find the Psion to be more reliable because his resource generation doesn't depend on hitting something.

Musk's business interests are heavily dependent on the government. Supposedly these interests were hindered under Biden, which is why he switched to support Trump. Now if Trump were a rational thinker, that would have worked out okay for Musk. But now I agree, Musk is being a bit of a dumba**. Starting a third party would primarily benefit the Democrats, who no longer need Musk. -
