  2. Once again it is GamePass time. With Outer Worlds2 coming in October, and games I want to play piling up in gamepass I figured it's a good time to resubscribe and tick few of those off. So here is a list so far: 1) FTC: Firebreak - Remedy's Left4Dead-like. Ehhhh. It's not terrible, but also not particularly interesting. Gameplay is very basic, missions get old very quickly, and matches are either fairly dull (if everyone know what they are doing) or frustrating (if one or two people don't fulfill their roles). It's an ok time waster with a friend, but I think I had enough of it in a solo que. I might jump back again later after few updates, but I wouldn't recommend paying money for it. Sorry, Remedy. 2) I gave new Commandos: Origins game a go. Eh, didn't play much so far, but my impression isn't much different than from a demo - it seems like a clunkier, far less polished version of Mimimi's take on the genre. They just haven't presented any interesting challenges so far, and character kits seem basic. 3) South of Midnight - again not very deep so far. Look beautiful, and I like the vibe. Initial impression of gameplay is that it will likely not amount to much. Feels like a very basic action platformer thing 3) Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 - that's been my main thing for the last two weeks. It's great! Fairly contained jRPG, with all that I like about genre but none of the tedium. Combat is straightforward but engaging. Vibe and story is the highlight - great soundtrack, compelling character writing, I am yet to decide on plot - it is shaping to be a bit more straightforward than I was hoping for, but we will see - I am confident a big twist is just ahead of me. Perhaps not a groundbreaking game, but with a lot of heart and passion. 4) The Rogue Prince of Persia - it's really good. Sharp artstyle, and really enjoyable gameplay. They are also doing some smart story thing - not quite copying Supergiant's work in Hades, but still managing to naturally weave story into it's rogue-lite structure.
  3. Every teen loves pizza and so do gamers! With the Community Garden in development, cherry tomatoes would be a great plant to have with in the garden. Think blueberry bush size bush but cherry tomatoes. Same mechanics only harvesting cherry tomato to put in grinder to make "tomato paste". Grind grass seed to make "flour" bake those with " whatever bug loot chunk developers desire" to bake pizza. I can just imagine the teens audio reactions to eating a bug meat pizza.

  5. As the teen, being forced to a scavenge and then hunt. You would think that Blueberries, a food that they are familiar with, sold at a grocery store, or even grown at a parent's home. Would be juicy treat. Bringing up hunger and thirst meter marginally when eating a chunk. It could also be baked in the oven if you ground up grass seed into a type of flour and make "blueberry tart" or something equivalent. I definitely feel grinding grass seeds for flour could open up a whole bunch of new food recipes. I would love to see cherry tomatoes added to the community garden. Then grind tomato into tomato paste and use grass flour to make every teenager food staple "pizza".
  6. Even GDP (PPP) per capita isn't the greatest metric, as it doesn't show how capital has been divided in the country. Ireland is good example where GDP (PPP) per capita does not give accurate picture how much average Irish person has money, because they have inflated GDP because they have so many mega corporates flowing money through Ireland, but most of the Irish don't benefit from that money, because corporate taxes there are so low and corporations don't really invest in Ireland.
  7. Reminder: the only GDP that really matters is the Purchase Price Parity variety. And really, GDP (PPP) per capita since that tells you how well the people it's relevant to are actually doing- or at least, is the best general and handy measurement of it there is. China is 78th, there. GDP (nominal) is an awful measurement and it's use is responsible for a lot of extremely bad economic management.
  8. There has been a certain amount of revisionism about Ukraine 'giving up her nukes'. It- and the offer to Belarus and Khazakstan too- was not really an offer. One way or another they were not going to have them. And that was policy not just of Russia but of everyone else too. People tend to forget the very real fears about nukes disappearing post soviet break up because it didn't end up happening, and one of the main reasons it didn't was them being consolidated.
  9. Hey Everyone, While playing this game, I've tried to enjoy it but there's several things that have really become a problem. You Buggy will be knocked out stuck at 0 While this means I've got more time to revive, sometimes this doesn't come up when loading in and I can't find them or they're not in the radial. Bags stuck under the map A lot of time when we've died, our bags end up under the map and we can't retrieve them but the bag icons will forever remain on the screen. It's difficult to know where to find the necessary resources While we need to upgrade weapons and stuff, it's not clear on where we find these. Or if a object will produce the required resource./ It would be great if you could have a system like Fallout 4 where you could tag what you needed and the resource would highlight in the world that you needed/searching for it. I think there's others that im missing, but this is the big things that we've found so far.
  10. "texas get the extra seat it wanted time to see if this escalate" Newscum 2028!
  11. 3 Women (1977). Second time watching this. I didn't remember it being quite this potent a nightmare. Robert Altman was really off his marbles, but I'm glad he was able to make a truly great movie with Shelley Duvall here - I both despise and love her in this movie, and that's a very strange place for her to be and I think that's wonderful.
  12. What do you mean NATO proxy? What is the difference between a NATO member like Sweden and a NATO proxy?
  13. I agree but the nuke idea as a security guarantee is over If Ukraine hadn't abandoned its nukes you right, Russia would never had invaded But thats not realistic anymore. I dont support any new country getting nukes and that includes Iran or Ukraine
  14. I realized after some time Chipers, shorten Chips, are like Paladin and usually they go around as couple:
  15. That is a problem, any suggestion to ban adult movies or adult content must be rejected at all costs I would even consider protesting if that happened in South Africa Im an adult, no one must dictate to me what I can or cant watch or what game I decide to play As long as its legal of course and not things like paedophile content
  16. On the eve on invasion there were already some European troops in Ukraine handling training. Unsurprisingly they were evacuated with priority. I doubt Ukraine will trust any guarantees that don't include a trip-wire force, or at least enough foreign troops that could be tied-up in every strategic target that Russia is about to hit.
  17. So far, I've found the game very good and have played to the end. But why more spiders? Are there no other insects you can use as bosses? And she's way too big. Will we be fighting dogs soon?
  18. Yes and China passed the EU in 2022 and it was predicted to become the strongest economy in the world by 2030 if you read links like this https://trt.global/world/article/12768680 And that was influenced because the UK had left the EU and its GDP wasnt counted Now in 2025 the EU has passed China again, the point being economic predictions are often wrong But you right, this doesn't include US tariff impact and we will see that more accurately reflected at the end of the last quarter And this will apply to all countries that include China. But we need time to see the impact of US tariffs on countries that export to the US
  19. I played PoE recently again after playing Deadfire for a long time. I just think Deadfire has more ups and downs. This also has a lot to do with how you progress. Imo it happens more frequently that you run into encounters which you are either under- or overleveled for. For example if you do Hanging Sepulchers too early (which is easy if you follow the Benweth/Furrante quest line too rigorously) it will wreck you. And if you don't go to the Vallian Ambassy early and get to Poko Kohara late - it's a cakewalk. This can also happen in PoE - but it's not as open and therefore the risk of that happening is lower overall. I also think that PoE's begining isn't very hard compared to Gorecci Street etc. IF you really know what to do. The enemies are more "playable", meaning their AI seems to be a lot more limited than Deadfire's. Imo
  20. I take it back, I hate the new crafting system. I never know where to go to craft what. And how is it possible that I can craft less stuff in a workbench than I can by hand? Miss being able to go to an ingredient's page from the recipe to make sure I don't need it for something else. Only possible in one menu, and not for everything. When controller loses battery and reconnects you have to pair the controller to the profile every time. Which was not the case in Grounded 1. Crashed twice crafting rope, once manually the other using the spinning. Not sure what's causing it. Can't sort while over an item (conflicting controls) 1 out of 10 - when manually stacking spoiled meat, I picked up one and placed it on another one. The original slot still showed a spoiled meat AND the second slot now showed 2. When I move the stack back to the first slot it disappeared and there were only 2 again.
  21. even turkey would not want it too many nuclear neighbor make everything more complicated
  22. texas get the extra seat it wanted time to see if this escalate
  23. Putting it into politics thread, because Project 2025 brainrot again. https://www.thegamer.com/steams-adult-content-ban-has-been-plotted-for-a-year/
  24. Then again, recently taken a look at pricing in the "good old times" over the longer term, e.g. loss of value over time. If you'd bought a 8800 GTX Ultra at the peak of the price and tech advancement wars, but a couple months later you could have purchased it new for like half of whatever you bought it for, no kidding. You can take a guess what that means when you decided to sell again and to upgrade... The same goes for any card during those years. My 3060? Is still sitting less than -30% off its MSRP in shops despite being released in early 2021. 3080s still sell for decent money on used markets as well. And the real pros more recent sold their years used 4090s with a net profit, despite no Covid nor Crypto craze in sight. Thus, a historical first in the history of PC hardware: people coming out richer some time after buying enthusiast hardware than before doing it. Plus, there's an entire generation now that doesn't even know how actually demanding real PC show cases used to be. Even trying to run those things on hardware released two, let alone six years earlier would have seen you laughed out of the room. Ok, this is Borderlands and no Crysis. But still. Where was I? AH: That new Outer Worlds 2 companion trailer seems fairly vanilla, in particular in terms of character designs and traits. One is a robot, I guess... and that's it what sticks for now. But then, the RPG inside the RPG is what counts!
