On the film and tv related news.. Leonard Nimoy has passed on.

"Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."

RIP Nimoy.  I'd forgotten that he'd announced he had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man

Oh great. Now I'm going to spend all afternoon watching Star Trek clips and being all nostalgic and sad.

RIP - he lived long and prospered.

Still gaming with my 9900k/2080ti/32 ram. One day I suppose a game may inspire me to finally upgrade. Maybe.

I hope Spock lives long and prospers in the afterlife.

Since I need something to cheer me up after hearing the news, here's Leonard singing The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins:

Oh, well, that's terrible news. :( I had no idea he was in such ill health.

Never attribute to malice that which can adequately be explained by incompetence.

Merged topic with posts from movies thread. The saddest mod action ever.

RIP Leonard Nimoy, nobody lived long and prospered like you.

A good span and a very fine career.

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

Aw man.  ;(

I gazed at the dead, and for one dark moment I saw a banquet.

He's dead, Jim.

Spock was my homey. :(

It was great to see him return to the role in the new movies.  He seemed ageless.

83 is pretty good though. You can't really ask for more.

Well he lived long and prospered I suppose.

On the bright side, this gives me good reason to watch some classic episodes.

Balance of Terror is my favorite. The Galileo 7 is the first I remember watching.

At least now they can't pointlessly insert him into another reboot movie, unless he already filmed footage... :geek:

Seriously though, another piece of my childhood just went to the great beyond, RIP.
