Mass Effect 3

I actually like the idea of quests having a window of opportunity. It always bugged me that the sense of urgency of some quests was conveyed exclusively through dialogue but you could put off actually doing them forever. It's all about implementation, though...

And this is the weapons bench, which you can romance if you're a psychopath (male or female).

No, that's Zaeed's gig in ME3.

There's going to be a love triangle between Zaeed, the weapons bench and the trash compactor? SPOILERS!

You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that?

That gives "gun porn" a whole new meaning... :brows:

Did BioWare fire off their entire animation team or am I suddenly wearing rose-tinted glasses for a franchise I don't love? I distinctly remember run and walk cycles as much smoother in ME2 and ME1.

Blame Kinect.

...what? I don't see the connection.

If Bioware had to not make any version better than the Xbox that is why ME3 suffered.

I've read about the endings on Bioboards, and if they're actually true, my Chaotic Stupid playthrough is going to be immensely satisfying.

I tip my hat to BioWare for showing some guts.

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

How do you mean, exactly ? I'm hoping there's a way we can win by pretty much destroying the quality of life of everyone.

Hm, so Shepard dies doing it, Shepard lives but BFFs die, Shepard and BFFs live and then have a "exitus acta probat" moment ?

Well, time to hunt down spoilers - speaking of which, possibly, this video is rather curious -

Damn auto embedding.

Not quite, Malcador. If you want full spoilers, send me a PM and I'll let you know whatever.

It saddens me to no end than this is the most active topic on the Obsidian forums.

Its been bouncing between this and the TOR one for the past few weeks. Tis the nature of what's going on in the general gaming community...

Right. It's just a major RPG that's being released in the next week. No reason why we would talk about it.

Well duh we're supposed to be Bioware haters. Didn't you get that memo ?

As haters we're very thorough. You can't really hate something and not dissect it . That generates lots of posts.

True dat

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

It seems like the third game is kind of pointless. Shepard could have destroyed the Reapers during the Arrival DLC if he had just waited until after the Reapers arrived before destroying the Mass Relay, the explosion would destroyed the Reapers.

Don't be snippy people. Because it saddens me doesn't mean I want people to hate the game.

I just expected people to talk more about Obsidian games on the Obsidian forums.

Hey, I tried *sigh*.

Unfortunately Obsidian is not a publisher (unlike the "good old" Black Isle days). It means other people makes the calls when and if information gets released. EA/Bioware and Bethesda are both close cousins to their publishing branches and is in a position where they can create their own hype.

I don't hate Bioware games. Mostly indifferent, but not above poking a bit of fun at some of the obvious things.

Funnily enough those games do have their own forums :p

I know! I'll start a Dungeon Siege III thread.

That will be promptly locked because that game has its own forum.
