Anyway, if I was powerful and famous when I died: If not: Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse Out of the corner of my eye. I turned to look but it was gone I cannot put my finger on it now The child is grown, The dream is gone. Hildegard Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 (edited) Above all others... Mozart - Requiem - Kyrie Edited June 25, 2008 by Hildegard
Moatilliatta Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Why would I want a song played at my funeral? I guess I would prefer something Tchaikovsky if I had to choose something.
Gfted1 Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Swing Low, Sweet Chariot I find the song incredibly sad and, well, I want everyone sad at my funeral. Alternatively, I also want to be stuffed and set in the corner of my living room in some scary pose but thats another thread... "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"

Pidesco Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 I'd start off with this: And this song at the end while everyone's leaving: The funeral in itself should be like a party, and I'd have to make a playlist of songs to play during said party(with Google's help): Cake - Sheep Go To Heaven Something by Nick Cave Eels - P.S. You Rock My World Something by The Toy Dolls Choking Victim - Born To Die Johnny Cash - When The Man Comes Around Something by Nina Simone Something by Billie Holiday "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian touristI am Dan Quayle of the Romans.I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands.Heja Sverige!!Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.
Gorgon Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 I would give a ****, being dead and all. Na na na na na na ... greg358 from Darksouls 3 PVP is a CHEATER. That is all.
Laozi Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 not really a song but its probably better People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
Arkan Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta
Meshugger Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 not really a song but its probably better *applause* "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
Shryke Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 europe - the final countdown haha on a serious note though, probably this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMqPxLSDTQs when your mind works against you - fight back with substance abuse!
Enoch Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 I'm having a hard enough time giving the DJ enough input to determine what songs I want played at my wedding. (Insert obvious "marriage=death" joke here.)
samm Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 (edited) haha on a serious note though, probably this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMqPxLSDTQs In that case I would attend to your funeral if it were not on the other side of the globe Otoh, I can listen to this song without funeral, too... As I don't care what people do after I'm dead, I could recommend some really bad metal sh in order to make them happy I'm dead. I wouldn't want them to listen to "my" tunes anyway, because I know they wouldn't react in the "right" way anyway to both my death and my music. On this note: Great choice, Nightandtheshape Edited June 25, 2008 by samm Citizen of a country with a racist, hypocritical majority

Humodour Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 (edited) I thought it not worth mentioning, but obviously The Safety Dance would be played at my funeral, too. There would be explicit instructions for the mourners to get up and do the Safety Dance or be ejected from the funeral. Edit: And I'm not kidding. Edited June 26, 2008 by Krezack
babydol Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 All By Myself Check out my KOTOR fan vids on YouTube. And no, they're not of legos.
Walsingham Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 As the mourners entered I'd like the music from Full Metal Jacket, the scene where they are looking at the trench full of dead village elders. I can't find it online, but you'll find it on the soundtrack (which I think everyone should own). It's very creepy. For leaving, , by the Tiger Lillies "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.

kirottu Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 No rickrolling. Would there be anything cooler than rickrolling everyone who came to your funeral? I think not. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
theslug Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Old but still so relevant. There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.
samm Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 No rickrolling. Would there be anything cooler than rickrolling everyone who came to your funeral? I think not. However only if your friends/family are savants of the internets, otherwise the only one finding it funny would be you, and you are dead Citizen of a country with a racist, hypocritical majority
