astr0creep Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Finished LotR Extended trilogy. Now into Matrix trilogy, Reloaded. http://entertainmentandbeyond.blogspot.com/
Volourn Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Delta Force 2 - Chucky at his best Highlander - There Can Only Be One... I know, peons will laugh, but, the sequels are better, this replay viewing proves this The Transporter - Solid action movie, silly 'love' story as evidenced by the fact it was dropped like a hot potatoe in part 2 The Transporter 2 - Much better than the first, action scenes were very cool DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Morgoth Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 The New World - an astonishingly beautiful movie. Rain makes everything better.
kirottu Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Highlander - There Can Only Be One... I know, peons will laugh, but, the sequels are better, this replay viewing proves this <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Fletch. Old good Chevy Chase comedy. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Dark_Raven Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Highlander - There Can Only Be One... I know, peons will laugh, but, the sequels are better, this replay viewing proves this <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No the sequels are bad. The first one is the best. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.

Arkan Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Pirates of the Caribbean. Good movie. I want the third one....NOWish. "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta
kirottu Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Pirates of the Caribbean. Good movie. I want the third one....NOWish. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pirates of the Caribbean 3: Ninjas vs Pirates will be totally cool and awesome. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
kirottu Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 District B13. Good action scenes. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Gfted1 Posted July 10, 2006 Author Posted July 10, 2006 Aeon Flux I thought it was pretty good. Interesting story and cool special effects. The girl with the hands on her feet was just stoopid. The Hills Have Eyes: Uncut Much better then I thought it would be. Good gore and halfway believable backstory. "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Volourn Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Halloween - Not as good as I remember. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
GhostofAnakin Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest. Pretty good flic. "Console exclusive is such a harsh word." - Darque"Console exclusive is two words Darque." - Nartwak (in response to Darque's observation)
Kaftan Barlast Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 It's brilliantly bad. Made at the same time as Star Wars (1977) and with a decent budget, this film feels more like it belongs in the outer-space days of hollywood in the 1950's than the time it was made. SteveThaiBinh Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Logan's Run gave me nightmares when I was a kid. In part it was the crystal in the hand which I associated with verucas, but mostly it was the scene where people floated up into a big dome and got blasted because they were too old. I think I must have watched it around the time of my birthday. "An electric puddle is not what I need right now." (Nina Kalenkov)
Krookie Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Stewie Griffin's Untold Story It's what all Family Guy episodes are like. Crappy animations with funny story lines.
Dark_Raven Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Logan's Run was a cool movie. I remember the tv show that was released shortly after. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
LadyCrimson Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Michael York. And yeah, that scene stuck with me as well, Steve. “Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.” – Alan Watts
Krookie Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 PotC was awesome. Can't wait for the third one now...
Dark Moth Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 The Man Who Would be King Awesome movie. Starring mother-****ing Sean Connery and Michael Caine! The ending is almost Shakespearean too, in the sense that it's as ironic as it is tragic.
Fionavar Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Serenity (Just finished the series and movie for the umpteenth time!) The universe is change; your life is what our thoughts make it - Marcus Aurelius (161)
Darque Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 George Romero's Land of the Dead.... not that great... <_<
Blank Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 The most recent PotC was more epic but less fun the the first. It wasn't as bad as I heard from some people. I'd rate it at least a 7, at most a 9.
LadyCrimson Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Jaws, finally. Every time I watch it I love it more. A little dated in style by now but the whole boat sequence is a masterpiece, imo. "You're gonna need a bigger boat." Hah. “Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.” – Alan Watts
Musopticon? Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 The Man Who Would be King Awesome movie. Starring mother-****ing Sean Connery and Michael Caine! The ending is almost Shakespearean too, in the sense that it's as ironic as it is tragic. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is one of my all-time favorite flicks. Almost a masterpiece kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Those who were too weak to survive were sent to Sweden. It has made me the man I am today. A man who craves furry hentai. So let us go and embrace the rustling smells of unseen worlds
