Bokishi Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Close one, but Vader was classic. The Revan Revelation is a close second. Current 3DMark
Jad'en Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 The Revan revelation left me stunned and really uneasy... but nothing can compare with the classic Darth Vader, "I AM your father line" :D
Influence Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 I saw the revan thing coming a mile away.. but mayb eim jsut more intuned with the force than you padawans.. i dont know.
Shneider Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 This is probably heresy but the greatest event was the sequel to the Thrawn trilogy with the Hand of Thrawn concept. You would constantly see references that made you wonder what really happened to Thrawn and when you finally think you figured out that it was something quite simple, instead it is revealed that Thrawn had more foresight than the prescient Jedi in his plan for the galaxy.
Meshugger Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 The whole "I AM your father" or "Revan's revelation"-scenarios will probably not be set in TSL. Somehow, i have a hunch that it will be more like FFX. "Some men see things as they are and say why?""I dream things that never were and say why not?"- George Bernard Shaw"Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man."- Friedrich Nietzsche "The amount of energy necessary to refute bull**** is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it." - Some guy
GhostofAnakin Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Nothing, for me, will ever equal the Vader "I am your father" line. Ever. But the Revan one was pretty good as well. Jedi Master D Murda Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Revan's Revelation was HUGE for me. I was born way after the "I am you father" line so when I actually saw the movie it was no surprise, especially when you hear a lot of spoofs that say "Luke, I am your father."

Laozi Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 I've heard this, and if its true it is the biggest plot twist ever in Star Wars......... The Senator from Naboo......is the Emperor... If you ask I can't confirm this, but I heard it from a leak in Lucasfilms LTD People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
Jad'en Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Were you born yesterday? Senator Palpatine/Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidios/Emporer Palpatine are all 1 person dude... And i do have proof: http://www.starwars.com/databank/character...tine/index.html Not exactly a leak boyo <_< And its hardly a twist...as even from EP 1 the senator shows he has his own agenda, and has a way of "convincing people" to do what he wants.
Jad'en Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 o yeah and btw just so u dont tell me im bull****ting the Darth sidious thing... http://www.starwars.com/databank/character...ious/index.html Their height is identical...and btw they merely havent merged the dedtails together for fear of spoilers to EP3
Sorall Loskannen Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Definately, Darth Vader as Luke's father, but the Kotor twist was good. And as for the FFX idea, I doubt it, but it did get me to buy FFX-2. A twist of that magnitude in this game would be great.
Laozi Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 sarcasism Its lost on you Jad'en. I'm so sorry. People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
Doublehex Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 The revean revelation, because I was born after the original triliogy, and I heard 'I am your father' a million and one times.
ShinIchiro Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 I saw the revan thing coming a mile away.. but mayb eim jsut more intuned with the force than you padawans.. i dont know. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I saw it too because someoen leaked it online while i was waiting for pc version LOL:D <_< But it was good twist...just not for me...but anyway...
Topaz Quasar Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 I know about "I am your father" long before I even cared about Star Wars. Revan's Revelation was much more of a shocker.

rika Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 For me, Vader's relevation and Revan's relevation were equally shocking. I remember screaming Nooo along with Luke. With Kotor, my response was OMG! That's cool! Of course, when I replayed it all the clues were quite apparent.
KOTORFanactic Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 (edited) Despite the Revan revelation being a classic in itself, the best has to be Vaders lot twist. They r each very memorable, but Vader just edges it. They were each equally shocking to me. Edited September 29, 2004 by KOTORFanactic

Judge Hades Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 I prefer a plot twist that actually took me by surprise. So None of the Above.
Jad'en Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 I prefer a plot twist that actually took me by surprise. So None of the Above. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I felt for sure that when the devs programmed Atton as your sister you might be slightly caught off guard <_<
Laozi Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 The revelation of Vader being Luke's father was insane. I remember after it came out there was so much debate about it being true or not. I heard in an interview that James Earl Jones didn't think it was true when they recorded the voice tracks and he wondered how they were going to precede with the story after that. Revan's revelation was somewhat less dramatic, especially since there were alot of clues about it. I will admitt that I didn't really know about it the first time I played through the game, but I was more astonished that I had ignored the clues in the first place. People laugh when I say that I think a jellyfish is one of the most beautiful things in the world. What they don't understand is, I mean a jellyfish with long, blond hair.
