And Wimbledon is a private sector event as far as I know so you dont even need to be motivated by official sanctions by your country to decide to ban Russian athletes. Putins  War is motivation enough in the same way many Western companies pulled out of Russia like McDonalds. Companies can make business decisions around their own moral compass and value system

Why doesnt Russia creates its own " Russian Wimbledon " and invite countries that support Putins War like Belarus, Syrian, Eritrea, NK, Cuba and Venezuela. Russia had its own athletics event when they were  banned for state sponsored doping  so that would be my suggestion. Create a " Russian Wimbledon ", problem solved ?

Tennis is a bit different as there is no national team. The ban achieves nothing, though, other than making it funny the next time someone says to keep politics out of sport (but that's always been funny)

- Nothing good will come out of this military campaign, as everything is decided by people, half of whom are Putin's pulpiters (really), half of whom are simply retards and the rest will betray him at any moment. With this, it is impossible to win the war.
- Not even Stalin would not be able to win this war. With such "staff" it is impossible.
- FSB failed across the board.
- The Ministry of Defense knows how to organize parades, but the soldiers are not able to fight.
- With a battle hardened by the enemy, Russian forces were not able to achieve a single strategic victory.
- Russians could not conquer anything except the cities that the Ukrainians left strategically. Volnovakh and Mariupol, who are still not conquered, are also counted there.
- Diploma failed with Lavrov. The secret services have failed, the army is also failing.
- The failure can also be seen in the place of the commander-in-chief - Putin.

Highly unlikely he'd actually win this war in Ukraine either- as he would already have started WW3 years ago after bombing US troops in Syria.

Pro-Kremlin news readovka.net have for a brief time released the number of Russian casualties. 13414 KIA, and approx 7000 MIA. Which gives a very similar number to Ukrainian official numbers (21.5k as of today). "Coincidentally" the article was taken down after just few minutes online.

Yesterday, there were again reports of explosions near Kherson, today Arestovych reported destruction of Russian outpost full of Russian officers.

And more tanks to Ukraine from Poland. The replacement for them are British tanks.

Just for some perspective here, the estimated number of casualties at the Battle of Waterloo was ~67,000.

I do not know, if these two things can be compared based on casualties , because of the way, how the wars were waged then and now.

IIRC, it is presumed, that the Russia has deployed 150000 for initial invasion, so 20k soldiers lost is in less than two months, pretty big chunk

It also begs the question of what abrogating previous policies against supplying weapons to conflict zones will mean for America's next war. When, not if.

In related news, Germany has largely exhausted their ability to provide weapons to Ukraine from its arsenals.
