Day the Earth Stood Still. They could have developed it more with the remake. I prefer the original than the remake though.

Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus
No, in some Christian denominations, Jesus is not God. Jesus and God are two seperate people and therefore Mary is not the mother of God. Depends on which denomination you are in.

Jack Thompson was right!
I thought it would be painful like getting hit with a baseball bat. Then it would sting for a while and then you pass out dead.

Jack Thompson was right!
So, that's what it's like to get shot in the head. Your head goes numb.

Recent Isareli military action in Gaza
If Hamas are firing rockets in a house/building next to a school, and when Israel targets that house/building, then it's reasonable to believe there are going to be school children walking by and will probably be killed, even if the school doesn't get hit. Why would Hamas make themselves a target right next to a school?

Iron Man. Surprised how well it was done. Liked the after credits action at the end for the new Avengers movie, but not Samual L Jackson as Nick Fury. Nick Fury is supposed to be white, not black.

TV: Heroes
I didn't get the start where Claire was trying to stop Peter either given Peter's powers. That didn't make sense. I'm at a loss to why the mind reader was transported to Africa as well. Also, I don't understand why in Season 1, it was alll about saving Claire from Sylar and the whole "Save the cheerleader, save the world" thing - when we find out in Season 3, Sylar . WTF? If that's the case, then the whole premise of saving Claire from Sylar in Season 1 doesn't make any sense.

Not Islam
It's not only restricted to Muslim countries. The link that I supplied was a report that was done a couple of weeks ago. Also, a Muslim woman in a mosque is probably not going to tell you and be reluctant to say she is oppressed or tell you what's really going on at home - if she is oppressed. The link I supplied shows "It is the result of extensive community consultation, interviews with police, lawyers, court workers and academics, and meetings with and questions to the Victorian Board of Imams". I think I would be more inclined to believe a report like this than a muslim woman's 'word' in a mosque.

Not Islam
I think it's more than just prejudiced against woman. They don't seem to want to assimilate at all. And when this is exposed by the media, we always get Imams saying 'it's just a few bad apples, a minority thing. It's not mainstream within the Muslim community'. Some Muslim religious leaders condoning rape within marriage, domestic violence, polygamy, welfare fraud and exploitation of women. Also, Muslim school has banned the national anthem at assemblies - and sacked the teacher who asked for it to be played.
-
Not Islam
Does it really matter how many times a day you pray? Why pray 5 times a day? What if you only pray 4 times a day, does that make you a bad muslim? Who sets these arbitrary numbers anyway?

FL Teen Commits Suicide Live On Web
Exactly. Calling them a coward is rather meaningless to the person who is dead. It only has meaning for the person who calls them a coward. Sounds kind of selfish to the person who is name calling as well.

Uwe Boll appreciation thread
Frankenfish was pretty good. I really liked it. It's a little embarrassing renting it out though, from the looks you get from video shop attendants.

Uwe Boll appreciation thread
I know those bad movies and seen those trailers and from those trailers also went and rented them movies. So watching a Uwe Boll movie is like a masterpiece of cinema compared to the likes of the movies you're talking about. eg. Frankenfish or The Creeps where a mad scientist brings back Dracula, The Mummy, The Wolfman and Frankenstein as midgets and as per the review, the movie looks like it was made for less than $200.00 (I didn't mind these movies. I guess it says a lot about what I watch)

Uwe Boll appreciation thread
Semi-ok actors? In Bloodrayne, there's Michael Madsen, Kristanna Loken, Michelle Rodriguez and Ben Kingsley. And in Dungeon Siege there's Jason Statham, Leelee Sobieski, John Rhys Davies, Claire Forlani, Ron Perlman, Ray Liotta, Burt Reynolds, and also Kristanna Loken. There more than just semi-ok actors.

Uwe Boll appreciation thread
I've actually seen quite a few of Uwe Boll's movies. Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne and House of the Dead. I've been meaning to see Bloodrayne II and Dungeon Siege but haven't got around to it. His movies are pretty bad but not unwatchable as long as you have very low expectations. I've just looked up Uwe Boll on the imdb and I'm shocked to see there is a Far Cry movie that's been made.
