I've been watching some Level 1 Demon and one room hero... yes, it's unapologetic fan service and exactly what I needed to cheer up. Caught myself laughing out loud at times, because the sometimes over the top humour just appeals to me. Yeah, shoot me, it's funny as heck

It is (or was, the weekend we just left) that time of year again. Brisbane Riverfire. Low flying jets competing to see who will be the first to ram a bridge, 20 minute long fireworks, 400 drones used to create a giant "LED light show" on the night sky and half a million people on the river bank (499999 others and me). No footage of my own, as I just wanted to watch it and figured someone else would take pictures

I’m not really a fan, so I couldn’t tell what was old and what was new. A single slow ballad, that was like half a capella, half slow guitar and one song I recognised at the end, the rest was hard rock/heavy rock/guitar rock/whatever I made a few clips on my phone, but I need to get home from the airport before I can convert them to something shareable. Just clips, not full bootlegs. I’ll put them up here later edit: the joojeh I got at the Persian place was awesome. I would be surprised if @Katphood wasn’t familiar with it edit2: My old phone has made some pretty good recordings in the past, but at this concert, it was definitely NOT up to the task. Crappy audio quality which in no way is a reflection of the actual experience (my brain can compensate a bit because I know what it really sounded like)

I’m currently in Melbourne, trying out some Persian food before flying home in the afternoon. Came down here Tuesday because a friend had bought Evanescence tickets for Wednesday nights concert and offered me one if I would go with her. What kind of friend would I be to not jump on a plane and join her the concert was great though

Wot I bought last - a fool and their money mystary edition
Gorth replied to ShadySands's topic in Computer and Console
For some reason, I've had more luck with the 2's in the past. I.e. Disciples II, Master of Orion 2, Baldurs Gate 2, Icewind Dale 2, Portal 2, Age of Empires 2... the exceptions (from top of my head) being X-Com 3 and HoMM 3 being my favourite of their respective series I hope JA3 and BG3 follow in the footsteps of the the latter... -

Latest two purchases would be JA3 and BG3 for me (both GOG). Started playing JA3 (and just checked that BG3 actually runs) -
Bought the game. Played it for 20 minutes just to see that it runs Ok on my pc. Trying to get off some giant nautil (sp?), but will probably restart the game at some later point (putting a bit more thought into choice of race and class). More interested in my Lich run in Pathfinder and my current game of JA3 atm

Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part VII

I know from programming both rules based and neural network based AI's in the dark and grim past, that the latter in particular is very resource demanding. Which is why I suspect it's not widely used to create "better AI's" in games. Rules based depends entirely on the rules as defined by the designer of course. No fun having an opponent that can out think and out smart you, if it also brings your PC to a grinding halt (despite outrageous hardware requirements) -
Oooh, looks like one of the combatants may start to get cold feet... https://www.bbc.com/news/business-66494113 In a post on his social media site Threads, the Meta boss said he had offered Mr Musk "a real date" but the rival entrepreneur had made excuses. Mr Musk had earlier on Sunday suggested on his own messaging site X, formerly known as Twitter, that he was willing to fight as early as Monday. The billionaires agreed to the bout in June, sparking huge media attention. But despite egging each other on for months, the rivals have yet to secure a date, raising doubts the fight will ever go ahead. ... There can be only one!

Sometimes the "simple" things can be enjoyable too. Simple in quotes, because I'm fairly sure there is absolutely nothing simple in the skills required to pull off a song like that, but simple in its composition. No subtitles and no clue what she's singing. Could be a love story, declaration of war, the apocalypse or enjoy the sunshine at the coast... (Bulgarian to the best of my knowledge from the context)

Not really... if I understood it correctly, you need either the demon or devil or whatever path (unmodded game)
