I finished the Lord of Nothing DLC for Pathfinder WotR. It was surprisingly fun, even if the ending was a bit meh. But... since I could import the resulting save into my main campaign, it teased me with the chance to revisit the result of my DLC playthrough once I get to chapter v in the main campaign. One section in particular stood out to me, the shadow realm. It gave me the same feeling as I had when I played the Underdark part in BG2 for the very first time. Not because they are aesthetically similar, but because they gave me the feeling of being in a very different place from everything I know. This one felt outright creepy most of the time. In the end, I sad screw this, and let the guy who had helped me do his own searching for his missing brother (just too much to backtrack to keep my promise to try to save said brother). Also... a nice little twist on choice and consequence, I picked the option to sacrifice myself, so the last boss fight was without my main character, just the rest of the party 😁 If Through the Ashes felt a bit on the short side, this one definitely kept me occupied for a week. Now back to the main campaign again and my inevitable rise to Lichdom ☠️ edit: I had just picked up my main game, imported the DLC save to add the results, when representatives of two different undead factions almost came to blows in the command room, over who was going to be my ally (because those two factions really don't get along)

I can relate a bit. Currently watching what I guess is a rom com. It is funny/comedy enough to keep me watching it to the end (Hanaori-san wa Tensei ****emo Kenka ga ****ai)

Why not set it in a post invasion Canada? It would be such a playground for contemporary political commentary and satire.

Took a small detour from my Lich game in WotR to try out two of the DLC's I completed "Through the Ashes". It was fun. A bit like low level Baldurs Gate 1 play (I know, nothing even comparable in scope, but the feeling was similar, scrounging for real weapons instead of the rotten rags and sham theater props you start out with). I decided to try something I was unfamiliar with and picked a Primal Druid with a Smilodon pet. Accepted the "default" crew of odd ball party members. Ended up at level 5 and continued with the last save game into "Lord of Nothing" The cut scenes in the latter are absolutely top notch imho. I am currently level 7 and can now ride my Smilodon. I don't think it was particularly wise, but I decided to hoard the ice shards myself for the time being. Also, that Numerian bard was a nice addition. Got a party slot immediately 😄 edit: Nevermind, I just cant read backgrounds properly... wondering why she had no charisma worth writing home about edit2: Some memorable moments from the wizards tower... finding a wand of cure hangovers, fighting a fermented beer elemental and last but not least, the wizard getting beaten by a dead horse 🤣

I went back to the cave (lepers smile?) and found the cart where it was supposed to be, but it seems to be unavailable (clicking the "hand" icon does nothing) in chapter iii. Ah well, iirc, it matters if you want to be a golden dragon if i remember correctly. I did get the wand, without which you can't really start the lich path

Pathfinder: WotR Getting to what I suspect is the end of chapter iii. Botched a few quests. Nothing important (for my particular play through). I missed a third part of the silver dragon (Mendelev? Sp?), a quest in the DLC town (Gundrum or some such) is unfinishable. I completed everything else, but the guards will be sick forever now I suppose 🤔 Also completely ignoring Nenio and her nightmare quest. Never felt any interest in the character personality or story anyway 🤷‍♂️ Doing the first island chain the Treasure Island DLC. Just passing times while leveling up my outposts to bastions. Because I cant remember if they stay bastions when I get to chapter v 🫣 Edit: Running out of enemy armies to destroy, I think I will get under time pressure anyway to progress the story, because you can't keep people happy without killing stuff. Noticed that I had forgotten a tiefling, that i had in my first play through. I wonder what happened to Woljif (sp?)?

Pathfinder, wrath of the righteous. I started on the Ivory Tower until I got to a point where an army of angels spawns behind me and a wall prevents me from leaving to the main map again. Something rang a bell in my mind from my very first game (barbarian, trickster, legendary maxed out 40 levels run). I found a previous save and decided to save that part for later (because it sort of begins the end of chapter iii) Visited Molten Scar, a Sarkorian mine, Blackwater (very frustrating, not because of enemies, I know how to zap and coup de grace them), but because the overall ambience is so dark its hard to spot the doors, even if I can open them ☹️ Visited Treebeard (not his real name, an ent garding a puzzle entrance). Took me way too long to work out the puzzle, with the little bridges closing and opening. I worked it out eventually when noticing that the lower of the two rows of "pegs" needs to be activated first, as they do not reset and lower themselves again, once raised i could focus on the patters on the upper row of pegs. Then it wasn't so hard to get the order correct. Screwed over the old chief and handed over the Mongrel tribe to Wenduag. My archer succubus (no way I can spell her name) decided the prison cell should be her new home (no matter how much i tried to convince her that kissing a undead self wont drain my life force) and my Lich wannabe had a conversation with my new Pillar of Skulls. Also, added the corpse of Staunton to the ranks of the guards of my shiny new Ziggurath. Anyone who can tell me what the Arcane Armour feat is good for? Does it work alone or do you need to then take feats in say light armour in addition to? (leveling up as a sorcerer/lich with focus on undead bloodline powers, necromancy/evocation and max spell penetration). Also gave myself sufficient skills to wield a scythe, because it's cool (not very practical)

Some things are universal. Past, present and future, coming to a galaxy near you....

A mix of politics and business I suppose, but the sooner someone cracks down hard on AI companies, the better... the privatizing the profit and socializing the cost is getting out of hand. (not that Australia has a particularly good record on data security, but still) Rogue OpenAI agent 'infiltrated' Australian government we...Australia criticised OpenAI for taking "too long" to tell them about the breach which happened in June.

With a friend like Trump, you don't need external enemies to attack your cities. His pet national guard units and brown shirt cohorts (I think they call themselves "ICE" instead of "SA" now, but its the same thing) are doing their best to attack US cities considered hostile to the regime.

When AI is used as a tool under human control, the outcome can be nice (rather than just randomly generated AI slop). Some people are good at using it as a tool to realize their creative ideas!...

I completed the area added to Pathfinder WotR through one of the DLC's (A Sarkorian village). It was nice and fun enough. One puzzle was frustrating though, as Owlcat and I have very different ideas of what times of day are "Dusk" and "Dawn" 😒 Wasted 48 hours of in-game time to find out that Owlcats definition of dawn is around noon time and dusk is middle of the night like between 1 and 5 at night. (I would have though dawn being something between 5 and 9 and dusk being something between 5pm and 9pm, but that definitely wasn't it). A gate where you have to place a rune stone depending on the time of day being just as awful as Nenios quest (which I am completely skipping this time, as I will then live another year extra in real life)

Making progress in my current game of Pathfinder WOTR. Playing a sorcerer (undead bloodline) and Lich mythic class. I haven't met any of the "notable" enemies yet, but the game feels somewhat more manageable this time. I fell in love with a limited use ability (whose name I can't remember from top of my head), that for a short time lets me ignore opponents magic resistance. It almost feels like cheating 🤭 I am not as far as my first Lich attempt, as I haven't finished building my Ziggurath yet. Also not optimizing my companions according to any min/max guides, just using them for the heck of it. Cool factor being a thing. My succubus archer has a second job singing for the team (bard)

I've had Baldurs Gate 3 in my library for the longest of times now. I just never could get into it. I made a few attempts the last few months. But before I even get to a major settlement, I lose steam (no pun intended, just because I purchased it through GOG). I ended up playing Gary Grigsby's War in Russia instead (yes, an old DosBox enabled game). Then I gave it a second try with a warrior class. Ended up playing several (random map) campaigns of Heroes of Might and Magic 3 instead. After the third try, now with a cleric, I ended the same place, and started a new campaign of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous instead (I never got to play Lich to completion, this time base class is sorcerer instead of wizard). A very charismatic skeleton 😌 Edit: What I am trying to say is, I just don't "get" BG3

Is it as good as Jagged Alliance 2? In my opinion, not quite. Still a great game though (bought it years ago from GOG) and a steal at this price for fans of it's predecessors. I am still no fan of Master of Orion 3 though. Sadly, it was too much of a departure from the MOO2 formula, JA3 at least tries to stick to its roots

Omg, the number of hours spent playing Nethack in the 80's 😆 I wonder if that was the game that laid the foundation for my high blood pressure today? 🫣 (goes on a rant about when i was young, games were hard and had no hand holding, especially if getting the Tourist class from the RNG)
