  1. Shotguns are pretty amazing, I loved having Coyote along. I got deadly with my pistol as a Street Sam by the end of the game as well.
  2. Well we can blow it up to 20 pages today Keyrock, I know we can! Today I'm playing with triggers, goals, and quest items. There are a lot of options with the triggers, but I'm having trouble getting them to fire all the time.
  3. Tale, I'm going to share what I have so far if you want to take a look. I'm curious how the uploading to the workshop work out. edit: I uploaded it and it is available to all my Steam friends. It isn't finished yet, just the start of it. I'll probably update it in a day or two.
  4. I'm trying to puzzle out how to get scene transitions to understand where the character is entering from. I have multiple entry points into the Seattle streets, but I've only got my character spawning at one place. I'm enjoying puzzling it out though.
  5. It's doable. The Matrix levels aren't really any different than the regular ones, at least not from what I can see. You can place NPC's and create conversations for sure.
  6. I'm guessing we will see some pretty fantastic decker campaigns in the near future. The tools are all there to make them. I've had the editor open since yesterday and I'm starting to make some progress. I made a basic apartment, set up some stuff to interact with, got an NPC conversation and a quest item worked out, and now I've got it linked to the Seattle downtown map the game came with. It's not hard to get a handle on it.
  7. It's the bees knees. But I am a huge fan of Shadowrun and loved the SNES version, so this was in my wheelhouse.
  8. Heh, I dug my old sourcebook out of storage last night and I'm using it while playing with the editor.
  9. I've been working with the editor and watching the tutorial videos. The videos seem pretty well done, and I was able to make some good progress. I still have a lot to learn about building maps though.
  10. Really? Huh, he was the first melee character I had used and I found his variety of hits pretty useful. He was also a better mage than most of the runners I hired. He was better than that elf guard I brought for an extra bug zapper. I think I'll go decker next run through. I also didn't use many riggers, but I noticed quite a few air ducts for them to take advantage of.
  11. Gah, I finished! It was awesome, and I already want more adventures. Hopefully the modding community will be fast. I've played around with the toolkit, I have no idea what I'm doing.
  12. I've played 3 Kickstarter games at this point, and they've all been gems. I was skeptical at first, but it really is looking like a bright future for crowd funding.
  13. Wow, Full Control is banging these games out. After Shadowrun Returns they've earned my purchase. edit: Oops, was confusing the Shadowrun Returns developer with the Jagged alliance Flashback one. Well Space Hulk will give us a good idea on what the new JA will look like, at least.
  14. That looks more like the Ouya developers are the failures, not the Ouya itself. Isn't it also not fully released yet?
  15. Best line of dialogue so far from my PC: "I'm not really the committee joining type"
  16. I had a good hockey game last night, we won 4-3 and I had a nice goal, but I also landed on my hip at some point in the game and now I am hobbling around. Ah, old age.
  17. Wires are a beacon for small children. They basically scream "pull me as hard as you can!" That being said, it is pretty amazing to watch my 3 year old open up my tower face, push the CD button, put in his game, then close it up, then use the mouse to start the game. He just figured it out one day when I was out of the room.
  18. Ah, the cyberware is a bit tricky. select the item form the list, then click on the highlighted body part. It wasn't very intuitive for me.
  19. I've pumped a few points into charisma to unlock academic and corp etiquette for my street samurai, it isn't limited to Shamans. There are plenty of karma points to go around so far, so I don't consider it a waste. I'm really enjoying the depth of the skills and playstyles. It's a fantastic game, for sure.
  20. You mean Jake Armitage? He's right at the start, so I don't think it's much of a spoiler.
  21. I think movie studios need to start instituting a hard cap on a lot of these films. Quite a few decent films have simply been the victims of bloated budgets. John Carter was very good, but it was set up to fail from the start. The Lone Ranger is dealing with that as well, it's a western, there is no reason it should cost so much to make.
  22. Heh, my kids are less understanding about the saving situation. I am absolutely loving it so far. They've really nailed the Shadowrun vibe, I love the skill progression and my character is awesome. I went with a Street Samurai Ork who loves pistols. That's the same character I made in the PnP game in middle school, so I'm definitely basking in the memories. Combat is slick and simple. The writing has been very well done so far too. I'm very happy, it has blown away my initial expectations when I pledged on Kickstarter.
  23. When I was in college, I actually started working on a Shadowrun type game with an artist friend and a programmer friend. We really only planned out a couple mission ideas, but I'm going to see if I can make them work with the toolset.
  24. It is a relatively short game, so you'll probably be able to play through it with different styles easily enough.
  25. Again it is a budget title, you can buy it for $20 so I'm not surprised by some of the limitations. I'm really excited to hear the buzz about the toolset. Hopefully we will get a good modding community going and end up with some amazing user campaigns.
