  1. Origin is a wonderland! Actually Origin really is the best of the bunch when it comes to running smoothly from what I've seen. But I still rarely use it.
  2. Hurlshort replied to Gorth's topic in Computer and Console
Is Spec Ops: The Line the one set in the desert city? That one actually looked pretty interesting, I'll take it if no one else is interested.
  3. Almost done with Dishonored, but I've also started up a game of Sleeping Dogs since I can't play GTA V and people were talking about it. I'm enjoying it, but the driving is not its strong spot.
  4. You are bummed that it is free? That is really odd.
  5. GFWL was just never very easy to use for me. It was clunky and ran poorly. To be fair, Steam was the same way when it came out, but they've tinkered with it and it is much better. But mostly I just don't want to have to go through multiple services.
  6. Enoch, I'm not sure whether to be excited or worried for you, but I hope for the best for your family! I spent about a week in the NICU with my son, and I was in there with parents that had been there for months. It was difficult, but the day that kiddo gets to come home is huge. There are also super cautious in those NICU wards and they do an amazing job.
  7. Wow, it seems like Keyrock has been here longer. I registered for NWN2 (when it was announced) back in the day, but became a regular after finishing KotOR2. I remember finishing the game and needing more about the ending, and I found it here. Then I noticed the NHL thread and it was love at first post.
  8. Ok, that update was way too long, can someone in the know summarize? It looks like they are basically saying, we are out of money so we are giving up. That's pretty messed up for a project that raised half a million bucks. Did they at least send out all the physical rewards?
  9. I was thinking the same thing, but I don't think she has a console.
  10. I had a blast playing ME3 and enjoyed the conclusion of the series. I wasn't happy about the ending, but the extended ending they released gave me enough closure to feel good about the odyssey of my Captain. It was nowhere near the disappointment I had with DA2.
  11. Platforms play a huge role in this popularization as well, GTA3 releasing on the PS2 and Xbox is a big reason it became dominant. Heck that's always been the real brilliance of Bethesda, they got Morrowind on the Xbox early and repeated that with Oblivion on the 360.
  12. DA2 really rubbed me the wrong way, more than any Bioware game ever, so I get the concerns. But even then, once I pushed past the first act, I got into the flow and there were plenty of redeeming characteristics. Still, it definitely created some concerns that I've never had over Bioware games in the past.
  13. Dating sounds like a nightmare to me. Ugh, all that work!
  14. It's all about franchises. It's tough for us to see, since most of us play a variety, but the majority of gamers stick to a few well known titles. If you are only planning on buying a couple games a year, you probably are just looking for what is comfortable and familiar.
  15. TOR sold extremely well at release, so it was successful in that regard. But it bled subscribers, which meant the large team that was still in place to develop content after release had to be cut heavily. They basically had to reorganize to deal with that, and now they seem to be running well. They don't release numbers to see how profitable they are, but I doubt they are operating at a loss.
  16. People claim SR's supposed zany-ness does, so who knows what people are measuring this stuff by SR is a remarkable piece of satire. The depth of the social commentary is very surprising for a video game.
  17. That .gif is disturbing. I get the feeling they won't get anywhere near their goal, and will have to relaunch with a much clearer plan.
  18. He's probably tired of the "it was all brilliant and then EA came and DESTROYED EVERYTHING" attitude. He's not the only one
  19. Are you talking about Mutant League Football? It is mainly an Xbox title, if you read it carefully. I can understand your confusion, it's not a very clear kickstarter project plan.
  20. For some reason I read that as Fifa 14, and then I excited to hear about dragoons in a soccer game. Alas, my interest was dimmed by a second reading.
  21. This might actually get me to play Diablo 3 again, I lost interest rather quickly and I think the loot was part of that.
  22. I do use the low sodium fat free broths most of the time, but I found this to a be pretty simple way to make a quick soup without needing to worry about things like fresh ginger and seasonings. It's probably too high in salt though, I don't imagine doing it regularly.
  23. Mutant League Football is getting a kickstarter. It sounds pretty cool, but I'd much rather see Mutant League Hockey. I'm torn on this one, I'm also concerned about the team.
  24. I forgot to mention that I bought this infused broth the other day: I cooked some peppers, carrots, and shrimp with it, and it was delicious. Very easy way to throw a soup together.
  25. I'm waiting on GTA V as well, but mostly because I don't want to play it on my PS3. I'll probably get it on the PC if it comes out. Even then I'll wait for a sale. I've been playing a lot of Dishonored and loving it. The writing is great. Bethesda really needs to learn from Arkane and Obsidian about how to fill a game with good books and notes, instead of the deluge of boring libraries they put in the Elder Scrolls games.
