  1. I do love dogs by the way, and if I didn't have small children I'd probably be more willing to take in a pitbull under certain circumstances. I doubt that is reassuring for these people: Betty Todd, 65-years old - Killed by her son's pet pit bull. Christian Gormanous, 4-years old - Killed by his neighbor's chained pit bull Elsie Grace, 91-years old - Killed by her son's two pit bulls Isaiah Aguilar, 2-years old - Killed by his neighbor's chained pit bull Ryan Maxwell, 7-years old - Killed by a pit bull while visiting family friends Daxton Borchardt, 14-months old - Killed by his babysitter's two pet pit bulls Monica Laminack, 21-months old - Killed by her family's pet pit bulls Tyler Jett, 7-years old - Killed by his neighbor's two pit bull-mix dogs Claudia Gallardo, 38-years old - Killed by a property owner's pit bull Jordyn Arndt, 4-years old - Killed by her babysitter's pit bull Beau Rutledge, 2-years old - Killed by his family's pet pit bull Rachael Honabarger, 35-years old - Killed by her family German shepherd Pamela Devitt, 63-years old - Killed by a pack of loose pit bulls Carlton Freeman, 80-years old - Killed by four roaming pit bulls
  2. Did you read this? https://www.causes.com/actions/1753697-fatal-pit-bull-attacks-sharply-rise-in-2013 That's some pretty terrifying stuff.
  3. If you have a stray dog loose on your property, you can shoot it and expect minimal fuss, by the way. Now the cops were called to deal with a loose pitbull in the neighborhood. They tried to get the animal handler to deal with it, they tried to taze it, and then they shot it. Seems like a pretty simple case, the video doesn't change any of that. It is super hard for me to sympathize with the pitbull. I've got a three year old son and I've heard way too many terrible stories about pitbulls and small children. If one was loose in my neighborhood I would want police to take care of it by any means necessary.
  4. How often do non-cops end up in this situation? Most of us are pretty lucky our jobs don't put us in this type of scenario.
  5. Breed has a heck of a lot to do with this, how often do you hear about people shooting other breeds of dogs? When someone gets mauled to death it's almost always a pitbull. https://www.causes.com/actions/1753697-fatal-pit-bull-attacks-sharply-rise-in-2013 I'm sure there are plenty of nice pitbulls in the world, but these are still animals, and I want the police putting the safety of humans above them.
  6. Not guilty of what? http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/local-news/closing-arguments-underway-in-trial-of-commerce-city-officer-who-shot-killed-chloe-the-dog-in-2012 I have no compassion for pitbulls. Those dogs don't mess around, and I'm not going to mess around if I've got one coming at me. It's actually pretty crazy that this cop was put on administrative leave for 6 months for this. He was trying to protect the animal control officer, he shouldn't be threatened with prison because of that.
  7. I used to, but it has been a number of years since I played Madden or NCAA Football. After college my chances to play against other people dried up, and it has never been appealing to play online.
  8. Spec Ops The Line - This is a beautiful game and I love the setting. That being said, I don't really understand why everyone is shooting at me and not willing to talk a little bit. I've killed a lot of people, you'd think they'd take a moment to stop and talk things over. I guess this is why I don't play many shooters.
  9. It's pretty common for QB's to have sophomore slumps, mostly because defenses now have plenty of tape and can prepare better for them. Also Russel is missing his top wideout, I believe.
  10. I'm a bit concerned that they seem to want to stretch it out for 7 seasons. They keep talking about 7 years of tribulations. That seems like a lot with this plot.

I heard that Daikatana suffered more from bugs and glitches than anything else, that it was a decent game once they patched it up considerably. It was never my cup of tea though.

I avoided controllers for years because of the optimization problems, but the Xbox controller solved that.
  13. Honestly it doesn't even matter which 3rd party you vote for, if we can just shift enough votes away from the top two we would see a dramatic change in the way the congress functions. I'd probably split my votes between the Libertarians and the Green Party, just to keep a nice balance
  14. Maybe we can start a 3rd party movement, where we encourage everyone to vote for people not in the Republican or Democratic party.

Sports games are a lot more comfortable with a controller as well. The Xbox PC controller is probably the best component I've ever bought for my PC.
  16. It's pretty hard to trust the polls when you get vastly different numbers depending on whether you call it Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act.
  17. Weird, I've always heard that about 70% of Americans are covered and Obamacare will lift that to 95%.
  18. I am currently paying $195 a month for Creon, an enzyme that helps my wife's pancreas process food. This is after insurance covers 80% of the cost.
  19. Being dead doesn't shield you from criticism. Using news of someone's death as an opportunity to criticize them indicates atypical empathy, possibly stemming from a personality disorder. Which is not really atypical in the internet
  20. My vet always gets uncomfortable when I take my pants off and request a prostrate exam. So how do we curb costs without involving the government?
  21. Would you be more comfortable with a large private corporation being given a monopoly? I'm thinking along the lines of how we handle utilities in most of the country. I have my problems with PG&E, but they do run a bit better than some of the hospitals I've had to deal with. Hmm, I'll have to think on how I feel about that.
  22. You folks are really keeping it classy today.
  23. Well, Russia did have some stuff going on in Alaska
  24. The league doesn't want it out, it would be easy to get rid of it if they did. Most sports kick you out of the game and suspend you, Hockey gives you a 5 minute penalty that doesn't even hurt your team.
  25. I'm not concerned about the government becoming some boogey man that will only help those that have favorable political views. Look at how the IRS was torn to shreds when it came out that they targeted Tea Party members. It is simply too easy to get caught doing it. I am concerned that our government is too much of a mess to run such a huge system with any effectiveness. I'd rather see individual states handling this, but that has plenty of pitfalls as well.
