  1. If only, I could see you liking, Chavez or Morales.. maybe even Nasser or Porifio as "charming rebels", hell even Castro.. but Putin is pure unadulterated power hungry.. and worse, at the expense of his people. - Also did basically nothing but play video games today, still slowly recuperating.
  2. Completed the Mass Effect trilogy, with a Vanguard Renegade Shep (most fun class to play in 2 and 3) and destruction ending.. Liked the extended cut actually, made more sense and also the Leviathan DLC and Citadel DLC. It was nice to connect a bit more to the crew, as it felt a bit rushed (albeit logically so) in the original game. Good series overall. My skeptical ME1 Shephard.
  3. Hmm? in a cartoon evil kinda way like him?
  4. Well I personally appriciate aesthetics a lot more as well, but I do thinks its great that some companies like Crytek or the people behind the unreal engine y to oush the boundries of graphical fidelity as that in turn will push/inspire the more artistic graohics. We wouldn't have had some the cooler modern artsy games without first movers in graphics.
  5. I wouldn't mind claiming Caesar in Gaul
  6. Hehe yeah - saw this on Imgur earlier.. Classic..
  7. Something I've always wondered too - but then spin offs tend to do very badly.. as do reboots I suppose, but they have a somewhat better track record.
  8. I was watching my friend play through the first 2 hours or so and I was very underwhelmed.. It looked like a singleplayer MMO to be honest, I never really felt like it was a world I wanted to explore.. the combat, spawning of enemies and very combat oriented world building - it felt very gamey. Seems Bioware took all the wrong lessons from Knights of The Old Republic.
  9. "George Lucas has revealed that none of his idead for the future Star Wars episodes will be used by Disney." link "The ones that I sold to Disney, they came up to the decision that they didn't really want to do those," Lucas said. "So they made up their own. So it's not the ones that I originally wrote [on screen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens]." Great news for people who enjoy movies..
  10. Heh, Guantanamo I would imagine.
  11. Noticed a possible strange side effect of the meningitis.. people's voices seem kinda off pitch, as if slightly lighter than normal and some of the bass has come off. Noticed it while playing Mass Effect, as Shepard sounded a lot more nasal than normal and then started noticing that voices in general did. Interesting.. But then some kind of hearing loss is one of the most common after effects.
  12. Marco Polo's first season.. It's a show packed with Asian tropes (and not in a good way) and feels more like a horny martial arts B movie at times than a tv series. Still somewhat entertaining - if you're hospitalized at least.
  13. I think that's a pretty fair description - and agreed, he is really good in the movie. In general I find Wes Anderson always makes the best of his actors, he just have some favorites with a rather limited potential (imho), like Schwarztman and the Wilson brothers.
  14. Perhaps you should contact the local prosecutor, I'm sure he would like this 'evidence'. That said, I never condone murder.. The guy should be suspended pending an investigation and arrested if evidence supports any foul play. At minimum I'd fully support him never working in law enforcement again - it's a job that requires a degree of levelheadedness I doubt he possess.
  15. Things always seem so black and white with you people, quite literally at times too. To me it is a far great tragedy that police officers and civilians must fear other as they so obviously do. Perhaps the violence "inherent in the system" has more to do with a culture that has grown increasingly confrontational towards perceived "opponents". What is the underlying cause I wonder? Chicken or the egg...
  16. ^ a link to youtube?
  17. Finally out and meningitis free - 10 days of IV and clean, boring hospital rooms have left me a little mentally unstimulated. Just glad I can read and play games etc without getting a massive headache. Layers layers layers.. And quality jackets and socks.
  18. Makes we wanna replay Xenonauts, a good succescor.
  19. Second life is extremely popular, so is fiction that depicts average lives. I guess people like to imagine 'what if' they had a different life or was a different person. Some like you (and me and many here) seem to enjoy the fantastic, crazy, dark or impossible 'what if' instead.
  20. Allowed to go home today, though not discharged until Thursday as I still need to be there for anti biotics 4x a day, I've apparently been the running joke for the new nurses on the new doctors - as they were expecting to see a patient barely able to move at this point and I'm already walking around, chillin, reading etc. Seems I have a kick ass immune system.
  21. Man I'd kill for some fast food at not shoddy hospital grub at this point. Keep it coming guys, eat great for me
  22. On my way to recovery, its a little annoying to be woken up at 2, 4, 6 and 8am to get antibiotics. But at last my white blood cell count is down from life threathning" to "above nornmal". The doctors were a little more forthcoming with details and I was apperantly alot closer to dying last sunday than I'd like to imagine
  23. This is the first time I've ever had anything more serious than a slight infection or influenza. As for the people asking what it is. It started as a small infection in the lungs that spread to the brain by a case of rare bad luck. The scary part was that the doctor pointed out, if the first 24 hours hadn't gone as well as they did I would've had a 10-15% chance of dying despite treatment, but now I'm in the clear.. Phew
  24. Thanks guys, and no Azdeus seems I have to be in here for at least 10-14days. So all the infection is killed.
  25. Got rushed into the ICU the previous night with Mengitis (infection in the brain), I got treated within 4 hours of the outbreak and even thrs I've never felt worse in my life.. They told me they were close ro putting me into coma for 3 days until my rebound this morning... Close call it seems.
