Enemy parties that restore themselves if you don't defeat everybody

Please make your expansion's story fit within the main one
I strongly disagree. What stands in the way of story being revealed in an expansion and/or a sequel? Some supernatural force that says "there is nothing more to tell, no, you guys, seriously" ? That just is against logic. There are no borders for keeping and receiving information, so maybe 10 years from now some kid out there in the world will find out that he's adopted - how come? After all he knew all there is about his family, right? Surprise, surprise. Sarevok thread is closed so don't you dare mention him ever again? Don't get me wrong, but what you say is good for a goodnight fairy tale, not a deep and complex story. No offence.

Buying the game
Why yes, Paradox. They should say something about it, now that they're in this project.

A few comments re: Game experience
Wait - gaining experience, levelling up, acquiring loot, getting to know the story more, having fun in general... isn't good enough?

Common pitfalls of CRPG games to avoid
What is interesting is that the streets (at least some) were named on the map - you know, that real map, paper map, included in the game box. I don't remember if there were street names during gameplay, though. I guess not. I did enjoy it, but still had the least fun out of it. You're saying that you "haven't seen a single thing that is better then in IWD2", well that's also pretty subjective. I might say otherwise! Because we all have different tastes. So that's pretty much it, we could delve deeper into things we liked and/or disliked, and wouldn't be nearer to agreement. I just wanted to share my thoughts, that's all. In the end we'll all end up adventurin'

Common pitfalls of CRPG games to avoid
While I enjoyed all IE games, I believe that Icewind Dale II was by far the worst. The graphics and music were astonishing, but still the game was more hack n' slashy then its predecessor, but that's not the point. The point is the story. Here's a couple of evildoing evildoers, they've been naughty because the "good" guys were naughty first. So they will kill everyone in the world, starting with Ten Towns apparently. That's poor. I mean, that's shallow. Reasons and motives behind the evil scheme were so trivial, and the means to pull it off plain and simple as well. Oh, and Josh said somewhere that the mega-dungeon (Od Nua) will be resembling the Dragon's Eye (Eye of the Dragon?) from IwD2, somehow. For me that was the most dreadful part of the entire game. God I hope it will be something completely different and worth playing. Best regards, cheers and lots of love.

The $4.0m Stretch Goal - Enhancing the Whole Game
I gotta agree with Pipyui. After all what is 4 mil $ nowadays for a company? Obsidian asked for a goal worth 1,1 mil $ but the facts are that if you want to do something properly you need to have cash to back it up. So here's hopin' that this sudden money shot helps this game a lot. It's a win-win situation, both for the developers and the backers (gamers). Oh, and by the way, you gotta remember that if you add PayPal and other "late" backers to the equation (ones like Fluff) there is something about 4,5 mil $ total.

Eternity Expansion style
Could someone fill me in about the basics of Mask of the Betrayer, spoiler-free if possible? The awesomeness about it is legendary everywhere I go (on the internet). I never actually finished NWN2 nor bought the expanions (shun the non-completer, shuunnnaaaah!) Same as KaineParker I prefer the story and gameplay to be interesting. I have a lot of faith in Obsidian that it will be good. I just hope that they had their lesson from poor Honest Hearts. No, you guys, seriously.

Issues with NPC/Item Surveys
- Order Add-Ons.
Here's what I did. Wrote an e-mail to Obsidian about the issue, because there are some add-on's I'd like to get. A few days later Darren responds that he cancelled my order and returned my credit. So then I simply created a new one. Easy as pie.- Bottomless omnipresent stash in Eternity?
You just put a 20-something slot bag into your bag which is in your bag located in another bag, filled with bags and voila - unlimited hoarding space. And as for the "realism" issue... I don't know, maybe it's just exaggerating. It is a video game after all. Matrix: "There is no spoon." And the devs be like: "Yeah, well not any more!"- Class and Race of your main toon. Poll.
- Timeline and basic history of the Pillars of Eternity setting
Messier-31 replied to IndiraLightfoot's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)MOAR LOAR BTW, here's what I find unusual: http://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Faction#Known_Factions Known factions have 10 organisations listed at the moment... 7 of them are paladin orders. Why so many?- Small suggestions. Easily implemented ideas, quickfire thoughts.
That would be interesting. What if they start becoming weaker/slower ("worse") the farther they venture from the summoner, or something like that? Or the control over the summoned creature was harder to maintain? The bigger distance to it, the more difficult roll every round to keep it in your "ranks" and BOOM you've got yourself a new foe to deal with.- Interesting AI for battles
