Mate, these are just work in progres placeholders, like big icons on your desktop. Every location on that map is significantly taller than the trees, ffs.- 31 replies

Population size
Messier-31 replied to Namutree's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Don't assume that every inhabitant will be roaming the streets so you can see them. Some of the populace will be hanging inside the buildings, some will be conveniently in other areas than you at the moment, some will reside in areas that are inaccessible for you ingame (like districts of Athkatla not showing all of its places, opposite to BG which covered entirety of the city). -

How hard is PoE going to be?
Messier-31 replied to Namutree's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Ever since I graduated, started working, went on building a family and such, time I can spend playing games plummeted a great deal. Thus I thought "am I a casual gamer now?". But right now I'm seriously starting to think wether I should play easy or normal. Normal doesn't require consumables, you say? That would mean easy will be taking a candy from a baby. -

The cultures of Eora
Messier-31 replied to PrimeJunta's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Aren't you taking him for Chilloutman? Dude's been againts firearms all way round. I think that TrashMan over here just says that changing some stuff, like elven/dwarven stereotypes, just to be totally different than usual is not always a good thing. That or maybe I'm mistaken. -

Sheesh. E3 is serious business; if you seriously want to stay in it, you need to attend events like this. Gawd. -

Update 79 Camp-out thread
Messier-31 replied to Sensuki's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I dub thee workaholic To be honest I would pretty much like to see the ensemble of every race avatar standing next to each other. Not only we do not know what will the "new" races look like ingame but also it would give a good comparison between them. I have no more specific wishes regarding the graphic as I am too much of a layman in the topic, so everything new will be equally appreciated. Ooh, maybe someone will end the Kana Rua male/female dispute. Tell you what: if you're right I'll track you down in January-February next year (as I will be roaming the entire Down Under with my wife), and say some wise words of appreciation ("bravo, sir, bravo"). Otherwise, I'll throw pebbles at ya. -
Who joins your Party?
Messier-31 replied to Tuckey's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
And the reason magic and technology shouldn't coexist in PoE is what, according to you? Basically every world experiences some progress, magic or not. Firearms are present in the game, but are rare and uncommon. Things like printing press are most notably absent. Anyway - as you said, this is just your subjective feel. I, on the other hand, like where this is going. It resembles WHFR in a way probably only I perceive. -

Poor Sensuki, got to stay up late and fight the urge to sleep. Wouldn't it be better to wake up in the morn' and smell the update? -
Who joins your Party?
Messier-31 replied to Tuckey's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
@Chilloutman @PrimeJunta I think that limiting oneself with less races/classes will be really dull. Suit yourself, though. Everyone will play the way that he or she desires. -

The 8 Companions
Messier-31 replied to Sensuki's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Maybe not 'Caroc' but 'Devil'. I admit that might be it, like from some legend of an offworld-y entity being a bitch somewhere near a settlement called Caroc. Peasants called it the 'devil' out of fear, prejudice and/or lack of knowledge. A godlike makes more sense now.
