  2. Nah. Bladur's Gate's animations looked like placeholder animations anyway, so maybe people will go all excited like "whoa! it's exactly like the BGs! Great work guys!" kidding ofcourse
  3. I believe interrupted spells should be removed entirely from the rest of the playthrough. You got hit while casting a spell? Too bad for you; permanent memory loss. Seriously now, I'm not fan of memorization mechanics and stuff. I believe mana and cooldowns is the best way to treat spells in video games. That said, I like the idea of not losing the spell till rest efter interruption.
  4. I was wandering and I believe it hasn't mentioned before, but do we have any idea about the enemies' health condition indication? Will it be like we can see their remaining hit point or maybe, like the IE games, a description of it (uninjured, near deth etc)?
  5. Nice update! The site looks very nice! Now feedback time Conisdering the backer portal, I had no problems whatsoever. Considering the teaser video, I must 1st say that I was expecting a longer video with some kind of commentary, but, seeing some stuff in it I think it was better this way. Environments are great. Graphics overall I loved. Music, great. Animations... meh, but I believe they are still in development. Spell effects didn't like so much. I hope they'll work 'em a bit more. Keep it up Obsidian!

  8. I believe they were lying all the time about this game too. Yeah, they're not making an IE style rpg! They're working on a goddamn fps! Who are they fooling? I believe that's why they postponed the update! Ok let's get serious. I believe if they were about to make ths update 100% before thanksgiving they'd announced it here on this site as na official statement not somewhere in game banshee or wherever. I didn't believe they'd make it even before christmas tbh. So unless an official statemnt is made here in this site I don't consider it certain, so I see no lies either. Adam's excuse was lame? Was it even an excuse? Who knows. Thing is, when no update is shown people should go on with their day instead of acting as if it was the most important thing in their lives.
  9. When did they say they'll reveal the big update at thanksgiving? When did they gave a specific date anyway? All they said was "in a few weeks". The thanksgiving revelation was an assumption of some people in the forums that just spread out based on nothing. Anyway calm down; there is no need to get upset about an update. We'll see it when it's ready and we'll make all our constructive criticism as we must
  10. I'd like a small dungeon full with combat and a simple quest. Some wandering around, buyg/selling, talking to villagers of a small village. Travel to a destination on the world map. A dialogue with a person showing me how can I role play it. Inventory/equiping/using stuff. Character sheet and a level up.
  11. Deeper role play. All the rest are mechanics that I can adapt to if the story/role-play is good.

  13. I really do believe the portraits is the last of our worries (if there are any worries - the game seems to shape up pretty good). I never really cared about portraits tbh (I prefer customized avatars and pictures that resembles them at some point - Shadowrun Returns style, at least).

  16. Tbh I don't really care about these updtaes, since I don't intend to work in the industry (but I like the screens of the dungeons and the concepts etc ). What I have to say, though, is this: don't rush the game. Take yout time and spend it well on production. I don't mind if Faergus won't keep his word about the 18 months

  20. The only thing I want to say (an this is the 3rd or 4th time i'm saying it) is that the letters (in the conversation box) ARE SOOOOOOO SMALL AGAIN!! Plz guyz do something about that! This is so annoying in IE games!

  22. This is the number o fcharacters they could create according to the money they raised (as they said). I don;t like it either, 'cause they are too little and there is not much of an option of who to take with you and who to leave (the monk is already out for me ). But. since it is about the budget, we can't complaint about that.
