[Mod] Tint God
Fhav6X posted a topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire: Modding (Spoiler Warning!)
This mod, as the name implies, allows you to tint godlikes. It also adds some more head options to those. https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/325 This mod is somewhat special, so you have to read the installation instructions carefully! Installation: 1. Extract the files into your "Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire" main folder (the one with the exe). You should now have two new files (RUN_FIRST!!!.exe and Tint_God_Mod.exe) in your main folder and a folder called "Tint God" inside your override folder. 2. Now run "RUN_FIRST!!!.exe" as the file says ;). Select the "Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire" main folder (the one with the game.exe) and let the patch work. You have to run "RUN_FIRST!!!.exe" every time you install the mod!!! 3. After "RUN_FIRST!!!.exe" is finished and everything was successful, run "Tint_God_Mod.exe". Again select the "Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire" main folder (the one with the game.exe) when prompted and let the patch work. After that is finished, you can start the game and should be able to tint godlikes. 4. This mod creates big backup files in "\Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\assetbundles". If everything works as intended you can safely delete those backups. Compatibility: ATTENTION! This mod IS NOT compatible with Kilay's great "CC more colors" mod. You have to disable it. However, I have tried to include some of its features into this mod. This mod is halfway compatible with game patches or mods, which alter assetbundles. If a patch makes changes to "charactershd.unity3d", "characters.unity3d", "items.unity3d" or "character_headandskin_hd.unity3d" it will throw up errors for this assetbundles. The only consistent way to deal with that, is to reinstall the game, patch it and then reapply the mod, so long as no "new content" is added by a patch (new DLC releases or features like turn based mode). In that case an updated installer will be provided on the mod's nexus site. In case of other mods for assetbundles, you are safe so long those mods don't change anything about godlikes or the manifest files inside the assetbundles. Known issues: I: At game loading the characters in the Inventory screen have no body textures. S: This happens because of the game's loading priority for mods from the override folder. Just equip/unequip some armor to solve it. I: The aumaua, elf, dwraf and orlan variants of godlikes have odd or different tinting. S: That is a problem how the unity engine "generates" those races from the human raw model. I don't have a solution for this problem, yet. The human version of the godlikes should work. I: Godlikes can't be tinted. S: You either have not run "RUN_FIRST!!!.exe" or it didn't work. Restore the backups or better reinstall the game and then follow the installation instructions. -
The lighting in the character creator is too dark and is making all of the hair options look like variations of black. I've seen other forums of users complaining about lack of variety in hair color, but I think the problem is lighting, not variety. I created a guy with dark grey hair and in-game his hair is almost white. For context, the lighting on the skin is fine. For some reason the hair is just super dark in the creator. Please fix the lighting in the character creator to more accurately reflect it's true color in-game.

All of the pirate uniforms, hand and key armor and several other armors will display correctly on females when equipped but do not on male characters. Can someone help me find the root of this issue - Some capes also won't adopt any color changes at all... I checked the "hd" folder in PoE and saw, for example that the texture for hand and key (m_bp02_boots_v02_c_hd.unity3d) was dark red, different from almost all others that do inherit color changes (they looked like an off-white/grey color) . And that red shows that way in-game. I want this to not show red, but inherit the colors i choose for my character in-game. For females color changes do work, strangely enough and the pirate uniforms are correct as well. There is no similar file equivilent ("f_bp02_boots_v02_c_hd.unity3d" like the above file) for female in the "hd" folder. Any color female characters have will show up on armor correctly, as will the correct patterns on armor, etc. Like I said, there is a long list of capes and armor that refuse to show color changes correctly. I deleted all of the corresponding files associated with the hand and key armor for males thinking it would mimic the female hand and key armor but it did nothing...as if deleting the files had no effect at all? Are they even used? They must be. Any help from seasoned modder or a programmer would be greatly appreciated. Just point me in the proper direction is all I ask. I don't want to simply change to a new color so much as I want any color chosen to change according to color selections in-game. As a last resort I could edit the colors individually and re-import them into the unity.3d file but I'm looking for a more complete solution for all characters. Some help on this please. I bought the Champion Edition from GOG -

I would like to give the Humans, Elves and Dwarves more options for skin & hair color. Ideally I'd like to get rid of all skin & hair color restriction all together and make it be more like Neverwinter Nights in terms of customization. But if those restrictions are too hard coded I want their color palettes to be like Aumaua's at least. I'm not sure what kind of files I'm looking for. I wasn't able to find any entries for color in my Pillars of Eternity game folder but I did find entries for skin & hair although they didn't cover elves or dwarves. Am I looking in the wrong directory?

I figured I'd open a new thread for these issues (originally reported here), seeing as they are separate from the issue described in the thread where I had posted them. The main issue is that Hiravias's head is detached from his body (offset issue.) Additionally, some characters have a different color for their complexion depending on whether it is their face or their body. SAVED GAME: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Go to your inventory. Select Hiravias. Observe that Hiravias's head is detached from his body. Screenshot. Select the protagonist. Observe that the protagonist's head is a much darker/greyer color compared to the complexion on the rest of her body. Screenshot From your inventory, select Sagani. Observe that Sagani's head is a much brighter color compared to the complexion on the rest of her body. Screenshot.

Hello everyone, I know I am boring that I bother with such trivial topic but it really bothers me and I would like to know if I am idiot or anyone else feels same on this topic as me. I generaly doesnt have anything against purple/pink colors but in recent years and games developed I seen raising popularity for this colors and I have to say its not my cup of the tea. Whenever I see it I imediately connect it to cartoon art style. We actually didnt seen it used anywhere in game but we have few artworks which use it extensively. I would like to hear your opinions on that subject artworks: Aloth: http://hydra-images.cursecdn.com/eternity.gamepedia.com/5/50/Aloth.png Animat: http://hydra-images.cursecdn.com/eternity.gamepedia.com/8/8a/Animat.jpg Environment: http://media.obsidian.net/eternity/media/updates/0055/pe-dungeon-concept.1000.jpg examples: http://cubehero.deviantart.com/art/WoW-Draenei-Mage-138971290 Diablo 3 vs Diablo 1 http://westkarana.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Diablo-III-2012-07-08-22-57-50-97.jpg http://dungeony.rpghry.cz/pics/diablo1_1.jpg Thanks for all comments and be polite (especially to me )
