  1. Who must make a Benevolent choice to acquire the amulet. Which is fine, no curses foiled, no ranks in Cruel deducted or Do-Right added. Honestly it was more interesting for my bad priest to complete the quest instead of fight the fight. Now it's time to get it on like Concelhaut.
  2. Made it to the end, of the Endless Paths of Od Nua, for the first time, Level 15. Not only was my corn creamed, it was shucked, chopped, diced, filleted, pureed, boiled, and steamed. A literal insta-wipe. Will need to research tactics, if there be any.
  3. I think the article sets a new benchmark, 36 pages. Fortunately it's well-written. Better make a sandwich and get started ...
  4. Some fun first day of summer photos from the team, by Justin Aikin. Balboa Park, host to the 1915 Panama-California Expo Mount Soledad Veterans Memorial Windansea Beach, the famous surf shack, a protected historical landmark. My best pal had his wedding here.
  5. What's a siege theme, is it a strategy thing ... I thought Tyranny was using one or two strategic elements.
  6. No friendly fire, I believe this pleases me.
  7. Overdue by 60,000 years, if I remember correctly, on a cycle of 600,000 years. An eruption would make our species extinct, so, I agree, visit Yellowstone soon, while we still have flesh and can breathe and see things. I always say the Grand Canyon is my favorite place, but, it's Yellowstone.
  8. Same! I think this is my third or fourth vicarious vacation. Love it, especially the geology.
  9. Also yesterday, I installed and serviced a new seat/lid combo for the previously freakishly clean bathroom toilet. I almost opted for the model with built-in night light, but realized just in time that that is ridiculous. So I got the no-slam whisper-quiet closing mechanism. Now I never get tired of tipping it down just to see it float like a feather.
  10. That is true, even though some people don't believe in curses, they are real. I still say go for it. Buy it on sale, wait for 3.03.
  11. Gymnastics last night, swimming trials right now, my favorite time of every other year is almost here.
  12. Can't say I've encountered any save-game bugs. No need to wait, Pillars is dirt-cheap on Steam right now, $17.99.
  13. I can agree the writing felt dry playing as a lawful goody two-shoes. The game's content, for me, hit its stride under the freedom of morally unlimited choices. Thaos feels more an ally, or more competitor than villain; the deity pantheon seemed inspired rather than rote; and quests like the one in Twin Elms ... stealing the life essence of a child to grant the clan leader a viable heir ... were dramatic instead of perfunctory.
  14. Season One blu-ray and Season Two on sale for $11.99 each, if you're like me and have never watched the show beyond the pilot episode, although if you're reading this thread, probably you're not like me.
  15. Even if I could, I would, because I should.
  16. Yeah, I went there, too, through the desert of PoE disinterest, even disdain, abandoning three or four character builds after the first play. Somehow now it just works. Party-based real-time is a subliminal touchstone, I guess. I blame Cruel/Deceptive dialogue choices for the renewed interest. Which bodes well for Tyranny.
  17. I heard Denver Comic Con just happened, probably fewer tacos, though. Today my imaginary housekeeper who never shows up failed to report, again, so, I broke-out the Lime-Away and took the bathroom to task. And the kitchen ... taught that tile a lesson it won't soon forget. At least for a couple weeks. The gleam of squeaky clean is its own reward, but I did such a good job, my actual reward was new towels and a red toaster.
  18. Chihuahua racing ... tell me more!
  19. Had me going, thought for sure it was a tale of discovering the neighbor. Can't return to that section of trail. ... An English word for rock damage on car glass ... chip. The headlight was chipped. The windshield has a chip in it.
  20. Whew, been a long time since I sat from ten in the morning 'til 2am with an isometric RPG. Seriously, I am six-member partying like it's 1999, with PoE. Except, back then I could do gaming marathons. Now, my back hurts, my neck is sore, and my wrist is on pins and needles.
  21. Congratulations!
  22. Not really food but not a drink for the drinking thread, coconut water with espresso. So good.
  23. I was hoping for this Why would you be hoping for this, Texas is never going to secede from the USA....surly people arent serious about this? You're my friend, so I'm holding this intervention out of love. surly adj 1. Sullenly ill-humored; gruff Surly people are always serious. Ask me how I feel about religion or Barti how he feels about mayonnaise, you will get a surly response.
