  1. Trying a couple new things, waiting for the Rogue One trailer ... a 'light whiskey', or 'un-aged' spirit. High West Silver Whiskey Western Oat, is the long name. No color whatsoever, which tricks your mind, but it's not harsh or unfriendly. Pretty neat sip. The other is local brewer Modern Times' Fruitlands, described as a sour tropical fruit gose beer ... sour, salty base beer with passion fruit and guava. So good I have a new favorite genre of beverage.
  2. The day I die, I don't want Amazing Grace performed by bagpipe, I want Supergirl Season 1 Episode 2 replayed in perpetuity.
  3. Holy moly, down by relay more than point five, anchor Ledecky wins by nearly plus two. Goddess.
  4. Okay, I am onboard with the timeline. From TrekCore:
  5. Supergirl, Season One blu-ray. I'm lying, I didn't watch it because Rio, but the discs are in the house.
  6. Huh, well that is saddeningly plausible. Hopefully everything works out equally well for Bosa and Tebow. In the mean time, more importantly, a few good men and women were invited to Chargers Park today.
  7. From what I've read, it's Bosa. He, or his management, wants it all upfront ... the team has offered two installments and won't break precedent, having never paid a player that way. The fan feeling is that free agency and the draft and the off-season were so productive, Bosa is blotting his own copybook not being here. Makes me wonder how many high-profile pre-season trades have ever happened.
  8. Tomorrow night at 7pm PDT #ObsidianPlays will play No Man's Sky. Should be a fun preview.
  9. RGIII starting for Cleveland ... am predicting a Dutch Renaissance in Ohio. Also, I visited a fortune-teller in Old Town and she told me Bosa's continued absence is a blessing, the jinx on a jinx preventing a remarkable 12-4 2016 season.
  10. Dunno about the east coast, but down here, people see you drinking coffee while driving, they appreciate that you're not texting, GPSing, applying mascara, or reading.
  11. Wait, what, a ridiculous Jesus metaphor ... isn't that redundant. I read and watch comic book stuff precisely to escape metaphors and Jesus. I get the dislike for BvS ... Perry White's dialogue and all of Eisenberg's Luthor make me cringe, plus a host of other moments ... but I've found some good in the movie and I'm clinging to her sword and shield, rather than taking the subjectively bad bits to heart. Not really a movie, but sorta. All Good Things, the two-hour TNG series finale presented in uninterrupted HD.
  12. USA Swimming and Gymnastics! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz9Pi7HfPkk
  13. Ouch ... no redeeming qualities ... Diana Prince on screen redeems more sins than Jesus Christ and he's not even real.
  14. I just read a gaggle of modern Carol ... she is squeaky-clean. The print issue Brie Larson holds is #1 from the 2014 series ... kids, cats, demon kittens, AI that speaks cat, warp bears. The 2016 series is an improvement, with a short-haired Carol and heroic discipline befitting a captain, but at this rate I'm also hopeful Brie can make a unique take on the character.
  15. Welp, won't read this spoiler thread no more.
  16. Whew, thought you all were describing a Joe Theismann incident, but I just saw he was able to walk off the mat. Also, I watched USA v. Puerto Rico and it's clear that ladies court volleyball is take-no-prisoners high-speed in-your-face serious business.
  17. This story will end well.
  18. Some summer games, a pint of Stone pale ale, and the first four issues of DC Universe Rebirth, Wonder Woman. Awesome comic.
  19. Yeah that might be the grooviest Olympic flame cauldron thing ever. I was hypnotized. Swimming, gymnastics, and diving are the most dramatic, for me.
  20. Strange, our surname is a synonym. Playing PoE and Uncharted feels mildly and wildly uncanny.
  21. Not all ice is bad, I know now. This Double Rye is cooled and complimented pretty dang well with half a cube. I passed out earlier today verifying this.
  22. Suicide Squid v. Sharknado would be unbeatable.
  23. A lot of High West Double Rye! and a little Star Trek Nemesis.
  24. So true ... bronze, copper, silver, and gold dragons made the sacrifice. Black, green, white, and blue dragons are just brutes ... dyed in the hide killers.
  25. Not so much, Star Wars for me is less science and more fantasy. 2001: A Space Odyssey is what I think of when I hear 'science fiction movies'. And Alien.
