  1. Wait, what, a ridiculous Jesus metaphor ... isn't that redundant. I read and watch comic book stuff precisely to escape metaphors and Jesus. I get the dislike for BvS ... Perry White's dialogue and all of Eisenberg's Luthor make me cringe, plus a host of other moments ... but I've found some good in the movie and I'm clinging to her sword and shield, rather than taking the subjectively bad bits to heart. Not really a movie, but sorta. All Good Things, the two-hour TNG series finale presented in uninterrupted HD.
  2. USA Swimming and Gymnastics! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz9Pi7HfPkk
  3. Ouch ... no redeeming qualities ... Diana Prince on screen redeems more sins than Jesus Christ and he's not even real.
  4. I just read a gaggle of modern Carol ... she is squeaky-clean. The print issue Brie Larson holds is #1 from the 2014 series ... kids, cats, demon kittens, AI that speaks cat, warp bears. The 2016 series is an improvement, with a short-haired Carol and heroic discipline befitting a captain, but at this rate I'm also hopeful Brie can make a unique take on the character.
  5. Welp, won't read this spoiler thread no more.
  6. Whew, thought you all were describing a Joe Theismann incident, but I just saw he was able to walk off the mat. Also, I watched USA v. Puerto Rico and it's clear that ladies court volleyball is take-no-prisoners high-speed in-your-face serious business.
  7. This story will end well.
  8. Some summer games, a pint of Stone pale ale, and the first four issues of DC Universe Rebirth, Wonder Woman. Awesome comic.
  9. Yeah that might be the grooviest Olympic flame cauldron thing ever. I was hypnotized. Swimming, gymnastics, and diving are the most dramatic, for me.
  10. Strange, our surname is a synonym. Playing PoE and Uncharted feels mildly and wildly uncanny.
  11. Not all ice is bad, I know now. This Double Rye is cooled and complimented pretty dang well with half a cube. I passed out earlier today verifying this.
  12. Suicide Squid v. Sharknado would be unbeatable.
  13. A lot of High West Double Rye! and a little Star Trek Nemesis.
  14. So true ... bronze, copper, silver, and gold dragons made the sacrifice. Black, green, white, and blue dragons are just brutes ... dyed in the hide killers.
  15. Not so much, Star Wars for me is less science and more fantasy. 2001: A Space Odyssey is what I think of when I hear 'science fiction movies'. And Alien.
  16. I see the chef proprietor is a man of taste and style, would that there was a way I may support his business.
  17. Once the banner anthem of regret, now I hardly think about her every day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1luu2eFD4w
  18. Thanks, I'll try the Four Roses ... the spicier the rightier. I just learned a few minutes ago, that ice is the anti-spice ... my fancy new ice sphere molds are cool, but completely kill the flavor and aroma. The good news is I haven't begun shouting at kids to get off my lawn yet.
  19. Gave Prometheus another go. Didn't quite get halfway, the dialogue is oh my goodness bad. Fassbender kept me in it, his voice is like the caramel drizzle on a bowl of ice cream.
  20. Seriously, my lower back has formed a labor union of pain, broken-off talks with management, and is threatening to strike.
  21. *chuckle* No trophies in this town, so we make up for it by winning the real AFC every year, the Adorable Fan Contest. From last Sunday's 'Bolt to the Q' fun run, hosted by Jason Verrett.
  22. First day of camp, woohoo!
  23. I misspoke, of course rye whiskey is technically not bourbon. The ice spheres took too long to freeze last night, so I enjoyed BP Pineapple Sculpin IPA instead.
  24. Hulk's strength is rated 'potentially incalculable', the lifting power of Luke Cage and Loki is said to be 50 tons. Finished the first four seasons of GoT, for the first time. Never knew I committed a crime against quality programming by not watching the show until now.
  25. Revisiting my new latent thing for rye bourbon. Well, not yet, waiting for a couple ice sphere molds to freeze. Got a bit of the Woodford Reserve green label. Never had ice spheres, before. They had skull molds, but ice balls look magical.
