Cloak of Comfort broken or unfinished?
Groovy thanks, Aarik!

Pillars of Eternity: The White March Part II will be released on February 16th!
TWM pt II is a continuation of the story from TWM pt I and is not inherently tied to the stronghold. New stronghold content is from patch 3.0, which will be available for the base game with or without TWM.

Cloak of Comfort broken or unfinished?
^ Pity. It's always rather jarring when the in-game model looks completely different from the icon. Also a pity that ice-blue doesn't fit the color scheme of my main eh

Afraid so (I recall one of the devs' saying this, but I can't find the link.)

Beta 3 healing ability and wounds
AndreaColombo replied to ArnoldRimmer's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)^ It's still not that great, but it's the only way to heal Health besides resting. About Second Wind, I need to ask again—does the bonus from MIG apply to the full "20 + (Athletics * 4)" value, or just to the base value of "20"? If it's the latter, it's not that powerful at all. Even investing 12 points into Athletics, you'd still only get 68 + (20 * MIG bonus). I'd rather max out Lore and Survival and put the rest in Stealth, tbh.

The timing of stronghold events and tax collection and so forth
IIRC, stronghold events are turn-based, and a new turn begins after completing a quest or making an otherwise important advancement in the game.

Cloak of Comfort broken or unfinished?
That's a pretty good item, though. Out of curiosity, does it have custom graphics (icon and in-game model)?

Few questions
1. Nope; push will break engagement in the same way as prone and other afflictions. The idea is that disengagement attacks only occur when one of the combatants willfully moves away from melee range. 2. What do you mean by "invulnerability spell heuristics" talents?

Spell Mastery for casters in 3.0
B. When an entire spell level would have previously switched from "per rest" to "per encounter", you now get to master a spell from that level instead.

Defiance Bay
Any quest from Act II that was not completed before moving on to Act III.

Companion builds
That I know of, they've been working with lashes for a while. They did not work with weapons that dealt two types of damage one of which was elemental, like Bittercut. I hope 3.0 fixed that.

Pillars of Eternity: The White March Part II will be released on February 16th!
You mean like this? (That version's bound to Steam.) GoG lists the expansion separately because separately it is sold; once you own it, its download link is within the main game's entry. You don't get separate entries in your game library for Pillars and TWM.

dying monk in elmshore
I don't think it was ever possible to save him? The whole point of the quest is that you're given a message to deliver in his stead.

How are people finding the 3.0 patch changes?
Question to the patch-bearers about Athletics: Does the bonus healing from MIG apply to the whole value of "20 + (Atheltics * 4)" or just to the base value of 20? If it only applies to the base value of 20, then Athletics isn't probably worth investing in that much (I know I wouldn't bother with it.) By the way, do bonuses from Survival still stack with inn/Caed Nua bonuses?

Cipher 3.0 : Power buffed list released by Obsidian
Honestly, I would never use the respec option to "get out of" a talent or ability. That's not what respec was designed and implemented for in this game to begin with, and it trivializes your character-building choices to the point that it's tantamount to cheating. If people wanna do it, more power to them—but no talent or ability should ever be designed around the notion that "players can respec out of it at a later point anyway." If a talent or ability encourages this kind of gameplay, it needs looking at.

Defiance Bay
You will be able to go back to it after reaching Twin Elms. If you didn't get a message stating that you failed the quest, you'll be able to complete it.

Best new belt 3.0 beta!
Pity about 1/rest; it would have been an interesting mechanic 1/encounter. 1/rest isn't very good for occupying two slots. Kick-ass art, though. Love the complementarity and the fact that the ability itself shows both rings united.

Cipher 3.0 : Power buffed list released by Obsidian
Is whisper of treason from Munacra Arret also fast now? If so, that item's just got really interesting (and its cost in gold pieces should probably be increased a little.)

Pillars of Eternity getting a physical GotY edition (White March included)
AndreaColombo replied to RingMachine's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I was sort of hoping a GOTY edition would be released later on with a port to Unity 5 and a number of technical improvements. Oh well... Here's to hoping for an enhanced edition, then.

I must say they've done a pretty good job on itemization with these

[v3.00.929 PX1-Steam] Resting Bonuses are a Mess!
Agreed. Accuracy bonus needs nerfing. Good changes on DR and healing, though.

Chris Avellone says Pillars of Eternity was too linear and that he had little impact on the story
AndreaColombo replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Personally, I believe Chris would not venture down the depths of unprofessionalism to the point of taking jabs at Obsidian like that. Especially months after leaving the company.

Patch 3.0 Video
AndreaColombo replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Same here. That's why I'm thankful we can trigger scaling via the console

[v3.00.929 PX1-Steam] Resting Bonuses are a Mess!
^ that would be a poor in-character attempt at a very out-of-character, meta-gamey head's up. The bonuses from resting aren't necessary to win the fight; in fact, cheesing the final fight is easy enough without them. If a player makes a fuss for this, I envy their free time (and this comes from a dude with a lot of free time in his hands.)
