  1. ^ maybe I'm misunderstanding - it's a problem for you that Wizards become really powerful in the late game?
  2. Bring up the console and type ToggleScaler ELMSHORE_HIGH_LEVEL
  3. Quite. It starts out as Legendary and requires you to do some damage, like 300. At every unlock it becomes worse and requires you to deal more damage. The last unlock it is, like, Terrible (-8 Accuracy and a negative damage modifier too) and requires to deal 1000 damage or so. Then it becomes the beastly thing in the screenshot. On other news, the sword is rather beastly as well. The ability with the missing description in the screenshot (though I had posted a screenshot, but not really) for Fighters and a few other classes is called "Outmaneuvering" and lets you target Will instead of Deflection when Will is lower. Say what?!? Coming soon in a play through near me: Edér dual-wielding Steadfast and the Unlabored Blade. Wait for it.
  4. Scepter's Wizard ability: Fully unlocked Dagger: Fully unlocked armor (Monk version):
  5. Groovy! Thank you, aartz Out of curiosity, what does the ability do?
  6. I see your point. Fighters haven't changed much in that regard; they are still a comparatively low-maintenance melee class. You can build them defensively or offensively, even though Defender was nerfed into oblivion a few patches ago and that left many tanky-fighter fans bitter. Oh, and Francis is right: Tank-and-spank isn't much of a thing anymore since 2.0 dropped. A.I. will often disengage to reach your squishy characters in the back line. Tbh, overall I think the game has come a long way since its release. Not saying it's perfect, but still a long way—very enjoyable now.
  7. Are you by chance referring to this? http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/83086-203-boots-of-speed-force-characters-into-walk-animation/ I know they made the speed boost only work in combat so parties would stick together while exploring (I, for one, welcome this as I hated when I was trying to stealth and some idiot would go miles ahead of everyone else and run into trouble.)
  8. IIRC they said it would be pretty early in the expansion, so I guess when you get in Stalwart the first time.
  9. Pretty much melee. Ranged DPS is still a Ranger's purview. But Fighters are awesome
  10. Whoa, Luckmann is back! Howzit, boss?
  11. Vessels are really getting the hate in this game. After St Ydwen's Redeemer, now even an entire Paladin ability dedicated to hurting them and a proc on one of the best new soulbound weapons...
  12. I can't repro the perma-invisibility bug. Seems to have been fixed; no need to raise it.
  13. A fully unlocked hammer doesn't have any slaying powers?
  14. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Select the protagonist and go to her inventory. Observe she has The Wind's Arm pollaxe in there. Right-click the pollaxe to see its description, then click on the Zephyr ability to see its description. Observe that on the top-left corner of Zephyr's description, the icon of medium shield Redfield displays. I reckon Zephyr works similarly to Redfield's ability, but it would make more sense to see The Wind's Arm's icon there
  15. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Select the protagonist and go to her inventory. Observe she has a fully unlocked Steafast sword in there. Right-click the sword and observe it grants *Missing Abilities -1* (Passive)
  16. SAVED GAME: link OUTPUT LOG: link REPRO STEPS: Load the attached saved game. Select the protagonist and go to her inventory. Observe that she is wielding a fully unlocked Abydon's Hammer. Right-click the Abydon's Power ability and observe it description says it only applies to Vessels. Back to the game, use a character to attack a villager, thus entering combat mode. Use the Priest to cast Devotions for the Faithful on the protagonist to boost her Accuracy. Use the protagonist to attack the elven Wizard until she crits. Observe the that crit proc's Abydon's Power and prones the elf. Either the description needs amending, or the power needs fixing.
  17. Probably in 3.1 which should land shortly (one or two weeks.) This bug appeared in beta 3.0; it was never there before so it doesn't really matter how old the game is.
  18. Hah! Ninja'd. I was going to post the screenshots now. Abydon's Power says "Vessels only" but works on kith too. Gonna file a bug report.
  19. Or on to the console. It's a matter of perspective :D
