  1. I have a feeling the Godspawn are what you're looking for.
  2. I think the caster classes should be able to get familiars like Cats, spiders, ravens and imps.
  3. Given the Drow lake and the concept art for that Drow Wizard companion, I have a feeling they'll be included. I would really like Obsidian to give us some more clarity on how many subraces each species will get.
  4. I was spawned by the black pit known as Kansas.
  5. I would love to be able to play an Orc, just don't make them anything like the Qunari. Orcs are brutal, beastial, and ugly. Green skin, sharp teeth and thick muscles. I would prefer something closer to the classical Tolkenesque depiction of Orcs rather than more watered-down versions. I still very much appreciate how the Orisimer are depicted in the Elder Scrolls series. Let the subraces of Orc be different tribal cultures.
  6. I would rather grow a small hamlet with a fortress nearby into a small city than be given lordship over a large already-existing city. The potential for development is greater when the framework for the structure of the area (Do we build a temple to the god of Healing and Knowledge or the goddess of Murder and Darkness?).
  7. How about a city deep in the woodlands with a predominantly Elven population with a large human minority. Think of Silverymoon. The Orlan and Dwarves are tolerated because they don't make much trouble. The first major city is likely to be a human-dominant city so I reckon it'd be nice to have the second great city not be dominated by one of the human factions. I would at least hope the second city would be from a different culture than the first. I may be alone here in saying this, but I would be ok with the second great city being a Drow-centric city in the Underdark.
  8. Random combat may be a bother but at least we might be able to avoid it or flee.
  9. Here's one that hasn't been mentioned quite yet: can Elves be Godtouched? Or Orlan? I sure hope so. If the child of Bhaal can be an Elf-Godspawn, then so can I.
  10. Did you romance the farmer's daughter in Fallout 2? I think that is the most appropiate way to handle those situations: include some dialogue and then black out. Anyhow I believe Obsidian will be able to tackle really mature themes without coming off poorly. Look at how well Fallout New Vegas was written.
  11. I love the troupes of Necromancy but I hope 'corruption' isn't nearly as much of a catch-all as it can be seen in the Dragon-Age series. I have a feeling necromancy is going to play a large role given the amount of writing that has been dedicated to it thus far, which makes me happy. My last BG 2 play-through was with a Necromancer named Thoth (I'm hella creative) Plague, social unrest, despair and hate can all motivate people to do vile things. When you brought up 'godforged' I couldn't help but recall Ebberon's 'Warforged', which I like. I could imagine the great sleeper of Ryleh leaving behind his Star-spawn to guard the city. I'm luke-warm on the soul-swapping idea but it could end up well implemented. I'm thinking of that coming akin to the Kalashtar. I think one category you're missing is the beasts of the wild. Orcs, goblins, Trolls, ogres, ratlings, werewolves, weresharks. The deep woods is likely to be teeming with natural horrors.
  12. I'm not worried about the inclusion of a monster like the Tarrasque, I just hope that it won't be the only Megabeast.
  13. I think a Godling Barbarian would do quite nicely. We haven't had any Barbarian companions thus far and it would be great to see a Godling fully fleshed out.
  14. I really hope one of the gargantuan monsters is a Lovecraftian aberration. Sure Giants, Dragons, Elementals and a bunch of other classic D&D monsters make for some great boss fights, It'd be nice if a few of them were especially terrifying.
  15. Somewhere between Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, perhaps with higher resolution. I certainly want to change what my character looks like in game and inventory (Hair-color, face, tattoos, beard..), but something about getting to select from a large group of amazing portraits (or those that I import) has always helped detail my character. For example, using the Red Monk from IWD as my Necromancer in BG2. It was amazing.
  16. So "Mindflayer" is copywritten, just call them by their original name - "Star-Spawn". I'm pretty sure nobody owns Wereshark.
  17. I believe "There will be blood" is confirmed.
  18. Sure. Just don't forget Father Dagon or his distant cousin Cthulhu.
  19. I think animated cat models would be perfect for a 'Cats of Ulthar' easter-egg.
  20. One Plater companion per class, so 11. I don't think the IWD method of character generation should be our only route to have a in-depth conversation with someone of a particular class.
  21. Please no. No thank you. She's a great singer and all, but please for the love of Odin above don't include her wailing in project eternity.
  22. I think we should be able to have cat familiars at the very least.
