  1. Well here's hoping that somehow they take as much time as it needs to be perfect while still rushing it out ASAP to give more content for the community just in time for them to start cranking out the next kickstarter campaign for the sequel.
  2. Does anyone have a rough idea of when WM2 will be out? I am holding off of my second play-through until they release the rest of the content.
  3. You know, I think I may just be alright with not having the Bird-Lady in my party. What little interactions I've had with her make me think she's not going to carry her weight and I don't want to deal with her bull****. But if I were to submit my save file to show what isn't working, where does one send our files and our output log? Is there an email address I should forward it to?
  4. Ah thanks a billion. I thought I had exhausted all of the options for all of the ghosts but the dude in the top right had a few more options. Perhaps adding something to the quest-journal about talking to the spirits may end up averting further frustration for clueless dungeoneers such as myself. Thanks a billion Matt for your help and keep up the stellar work.
  5. Hm apparently I can't edit that previous post but now after having spoke to all of the people I need to speak to I STILL can't open that dang door. I have spoke with everyone on that floor in their own language and the open option still isn't appearing.
  6. Apparently the language comes from the main quest. Spoiller (You need to complete the quest in the Engwythian tower in Defiance Bay).
  7. So has anyone had any luck with this so far? I am curious as to what results people have been able to get.
  8. So if my ranger has bonded grief and it won't go away is there any way to remove it without cheat codes? Given the fox-thing just gets back up it certainly ain't dead.
  9. Wait, I am an idiot. I was trying to use the key on the wrong door. Hahahahah.
  10. Does anyone know what the code is for the "Rusted Iron Cell Key" I can't seem to put it anywhere but the quest item part of the loot stash. I guess I need to hack it in.
  11. I can't seem to take the rusted cell key out of my stash. Has anyone else here experienced this problem?
  12. It sounds like SuperBunnyhop's George really liked it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ml3EdUJJOPw
  13. As much as I appreciate Angry Joe's stances don't like his persona as much during his hype or hate videos. It becomes a bit of a cycle. He gets hyped for X because he play-tests it somewhere. He posts an update talking about what they're doing with it and what we might be able to expect to see. And finally the game is a total flop and Joe wigs out at the camera in a costume. Hopefully he chills out with time.
  14. As much as I just wrote about not wanting to sweat the review scores, that's great to hear. Now I just need to translate the article so I can see what they had to say.
  15. I have a strong feeling the game is going to get a 666. But really, the more I think about it the more I don't believe in numbered scores. Different sorts of game appeal to different people and establishing an universal metric by which all games are scored is an inherently problematic task because folks don't all like the same things. Written or recorded reviews with no number values attached force the reader or viewer to engage with the material rather than zooming their eyes directly to the grand abstraction of the game, the score. I was worried the bonus question would find itself into this conversation, and 'lo it has. If we are going to give the game a score after we play it, let's not do it because of Metacritic. Let's praise what we lose and critique what we don't. Of course I am so happy to support more great RPGs from Obsidian, we shouldn't say it is a 11/10 game just because Obsidian Entertainment released it. TLDR: Don't worry about the score and just enjoy the game.
  16. I think during the daytime I'll nosh on some chips and salsa and make myself some sweet potatoes and steak with some wine for dinner.
  17. 11! Yeah I should have not expected it to come out at 12 PST tonight. That may have been great, but it ain't happening. Oh well. Time to get back to the beta.
  18. You use Behind the name as well? I just made a Catalan Rifle Ranger in Wasteland2 using the Catalan named Hector Bonaventura. I am likely going to name my first character from the Living Lands Olafr, Vlademar, Völgarr or something appropiately Norse like that. For some reason I imagine the Living Lands to be some mash-up between the omnipresent danger of the world of Darksouls 1 and the abundant assortment of strange foes that you might find in a Dungeons and Dragons second edition Monster Manuel. Benvolio will be my Vailian name. I reckon if we're playing a game set in a fantasy early-Renaissance we may as well take full advantage of the setting and play a swashbuckling musketeer. Dwarf names are pretty fun to think of given the silly Dwarven-naming conventions of Dwarf-Fortress. Elf names are pretty-well established in general fantasy lore by now. Check out Behind the Name if you want a great resource for the root sources of all sorts of different names from different languages.
  19. I am mostly interested in delving further into the cultural, racial and class backgrounds available so I can craft my first few characters. Mods are asleep, post keys
  20. By ye gods! Obsidian! Paradox!! Hear our plea! Your silence is driving us to a fevered state of mania. You're driving us to madness! Before too long we'll all be frolicking around getting drunk and ripping the odd passer by to bits. Bits!
  21. I can't help but think about making a Gun-Monk and pretending he or she jumps around and shoots like the Grammaton Clerics in Tranquility. Pew Pew Pew. At least there aren't dual-wielding pistols (I think.) When it comes to melee weapons I think my choice would have to depend on what is available. I'd give my monk a katana if they were included but otherwise it'll likely end up being some polearm or maybe the classic staff.
  22. Then... The Lord of Eternity shall perish But in his doom he shall spawn a score of loyal backers Chaos will be sown from their passing So sayeth the wise Sawyer In the Year of the Turnips, a great host of trolls will descend up on the forums like a plague of locusts. So sayeth the wise Sawyer.
  23. I love what Obsidian has made in the past, I loved playing the backer-beta, I trust their judgement. I think perhaps down the line if they get some money from Paradox or if they have another record-breaking kickstarter MP might get added in but until the Eternity series is establshed as a real bread-winner for the stuido putting in MP could be a real gamble. I think if there was a hypothetical PoE 2 or 3 we could perhaps start expecting MP but until then I think we should just keep wishing we could play this with friends.
  24. Though I forgot what they were I remember being amused by them as I saw them. I tend to use that Behind the name website if I am particulary dry on ideas for a particular culture's name.
  25. As much as I really like the idea of being a Godlike born to Elves with some interesting powers, I'll likely go as a Human on my first play-through. The idea of being a Barbarian from the Living Lands is too appealing to do anything else. I very rarely play Dwarves. I have before, even as my main character, but I never finished that campaign of BG2. It really seems like something about the troupe of Dwarves is kinda played out. I suppose a lot of people like Colin McComb feel the same way about Elves (or Halflings/Gnomes for that matter), but I'm not one of them. I may end up playing a Dwarf, if only because I love Dwarf Fortress so much. Urst Kuletborik will save the land with his mighty axe, or at least die trying.
