I think it looks interesting. I decided to back it as I have little hesitance to buy anything costing less than $30. An additional note: Kickstarter is now handling credit cards themselves instead of using Amazon Payments.

With how much time I spent reading about Windows 8 I decided that I would end up spending more time reading more about it than just figuring it out. So I just installed it and am using it now. I was expecting it to be much worse than it is. It's actually nice. Although switching between Metro and the desktop for applications is a bit of a hassle. The biggest surprise is that it has a compatibility mode. That made me very happy as I have a lot of old games. Sites had said Microsoft got rid of it, but they decided to put it back in. There are modes from 95 to 7. I am very happy that it runs Neverwinter Nights, which was one of the reasons I was hesitant to upgrade. I will post more once I have used the operating system more.

Well, due to some semantic ambiguity this may mean that you can deliver shocks to other people's reproductive organs. Also, you are forgetting about people who like electric shocks to their genitals. They might name their character Drizzt solely for that reason.

I would like a box for the character's title. For example, if I make a character named Bob the Inept. I don't want people calling him Sir the Inept nor do I want people calling him Bob the Inept all the time.

I hope that didn't discourage you from playing DA:O. 2nd favorite game of all time. Not at all after I read one review which specifically confirmed those artists have nothing to do with actual game or it's soundtrack. Reviewer obviously didn't like the promo campaign either. Many people felt this way. I remember an 80 page thread on Bioware's forums after the Marilyn Manson trailer was released. Basically all of which was people who didn't want his music in the game.

The Drizzt part was probably my favorite part of the game. The flashback idea could be interesting. Although I am not sure that it would fit the mood of the game.

A baby Pegasus. Or a dwarf. I've always thought it would be amusing to have a pet dwarf. Who has a pet rock. Another idea is a pet undead creature. Probably a zombie. One problem is it would be very bad if it bites the neighbor. Although, depending on the neighbor's personality, it might make them more pleasant to live next to.

While the term god has been used, it does not mean that gods in this setting will be how people tend to imagine them. The might basically be extremely high-level specialized wizards. Gods could also be beings with very powerful souls, to whom death is different. Instead of being reborn as a different person each time they die, they are reborn as the exact same being. I don't think atheism is viable in this setting. The counterpart that I think has a good chance of being in this setting is people who don't think the gods are deserving of worship. That they are little more than extremely powerful tyrants.

It might be a good idea to include your Kickstarter account name. Make the payment for $30. You can either include the $20 for the expansion in this or you can select the "Digital Expansion Pack" option separately.

Spiders won't be a problem in this game, they will be tiny. I say this as someone who doesn't like them. I am not scared of them per se, they are just not pleasant. I think my worst video game experience with spiders was in Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. You fight through a spider lair. With spiders jumping at you.

For me, they are both important. Some games I play for stories, others for the gameplay. Ultimately, gameplay is more important in a game. I don't particularly like saying that, but books (or movies) are a better way to tell a story.

I've found authors rarely can do the range of voices that some narrators can.

I would rather have skalds, or a general warrior-poet class, than paladins or monks in this game. Yes. The character will be able to give an enemy a bad haircut. Thus penalizing charisma and the associated skills.

You're welcome. I know that Steam had it for a short time (like a year). I am not sure if GOG ever had it though.
