  1. I'd really like it too if you only got locked into supporting a faction after completing their quest, rather than simply accepting it; events in the game made me change my mind about who I wanted to work with, but now I am stuck. Also it would be nice if you could just tell Lady Webb outright that you want nothing to do with any of those groups of crazy people rather than having to murder them before she'll sponsor you.
  2. Yep, it's related; it's a FoW issue, apparently, that they're working on fixing; you can console your way out of it if you don't mind (possibly) disabling Steam achievements.
  3. I went down to the dungeon level from the sanctuary floor (stairs in the chapel) and was able to get everywhere important.
  4. ...what? Well, that was a lot of utterly pointless upgrading I just did.
  5. You know if you hold down the right mouse button, you can rotate the formation on the ground, yeah?
  6. Eder and Sagani. I wasn't expecting to even like Sagani beforehand, but I adore her. "Son of a moose****er!"
  7. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/75399-unopenable-door-in-raedrics-hold-dungeon/
  8. When I encountered the bug, I'd done neither.
  9. Here's mine: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw56i-bKiIvXVXNXaDJ1NFRCeVk/view?usp=sharing
  10. Yeah, I went back and tried again, and it was fine. Admittedly at this level I just autoattacked everyone to death, so it's possible the use of AoE abilities could be a problem still.
  11. No. Huh, so a lot of people in this thread/forum were just looking for an excuse to get their outrage on, and pounced on the chance? Huh, so why has this thread not been locked yet? Yep! Because Obsidian allows people to air their opinions on their forums, even if those opinions are really... wrong and uninformed.
  12. Yep. I absolutely mean it as a compliment when I say that most of the time, I don't notice the music, just as I don't notice the art design as such unless I'm just encountering something for the first time; it all blends together to make a lovely, immersive experience.
  13. There never was anything to worry about; Obsidian were never going to change the actual content of the game, even if all of Twitter rose up as one and cried out for horrible, horrible censorship.
  14. Yeah, I agree. I can't find any evidence of its existence. Heh. How interesting. I wonder who might be responsible for this?
  15. The second patch was a hotfix for something the first patch broke, involving player-created companions. See announcements forum.
  16. I don't think the profits from this game are going to be used to write some million dollar bonus checks; they'll be used to produce the next game. Oh, Paradox presumably gets their cut too; forgot about them.
  17. Make a proper save first to reload from and then test it.
  18. Yep, it's definitely still possible to still complete the quest by working around this, with the solution involving the prisoner and the back way to Raedric. Or, you know, high mechanics and/or some lockpicks on the main door in.
  19. That's over £7m after Steam's cut, if I'm not mistaken, providing it's actual sales without the backer copies. Well, that's rather good news after a week.
  20. Email Obsidian or ask him on Twitter. Perhaps he thinks they have a point? Even if he agrees that they're wrong on his game, he could still generally agree with them and think their cause is worth backing.
  21. We're individuals. We have different goals and I, at least, don't have any endgame beyond "hey, maybe don't do things that'll hurt people with no good reason?" In regard to this specific issue, I would definitely not be in favour of having the quest - or any of the rest of the "mature" content in the game - be changed. The only thing I might like is a clearer warning for prospective purchasers that they might want to avoid it if they find certain topics distressing - I would never put anything involving the loss of a child in a PnP game without making sure in advance that I wasn't about to remind one of my players of the time their kid died or whatever - but it's not a hill I plan to die on or anything.
  22. I think you just don't appreciate fireballs enough, buddy.
