  1. My PC isn't a cipher; I'm unclear whether that means she shouldn't be using the Horn either, but I'll keep an eye on her Intellect and see how it goes.
  2. The site just about crashed from us all simply trying to generate our keys at the same time; I doubt they're currently set up to handle patch distribution too.
  3. Save and load times are noticeably improved
  4. It's showing the +2 Intellect when Endurance above 50% as a suppressed effect now, even though I've no other Intellect boosting gear and it's not actually suppressed; my actual Intellect value is back down where it should be after this item artificially boosted it pre-patch, and I'm getting the bonus, it's just my character sheet that seems confused.
  5. Shift + click moves things to the stash.
  6. We see names because very few people want to click on 20 Villagers in some tavern before they find the one person they were sent to find.
  7. I don't really care if some other distribution of stats is better for my PC; I care that I can build a character concept and have it be viable. Likewise, I don't care if some other weapon might be better for a character, I care that I'm not completely screwing myself over by taking a non-optimal choice. My Eder's wielding a spear and we've been doing just fine.
  8. Yeah that's what i want to know aswell. Want to start my Triple Crown Solo playthrough. Later today if all goes well with testing, I gather. Of course, GOG will take longer than Steam to distribute it, as always.
  9. I donated for a physical copy, and yesterday I noticed that another digital key had been added - so I've now got a Royal edition key, a Hero edition key, and my physical disc presumably eventually on the way. I wanted to bring this to the attention of people who may not have yet noticed, since I've seen some saying that they can't play yet since they gave away their one digital key and the disc hasn't arrived. Apologies if everyone else already knows this and I just missed the memo somehow.
  10. Okay. Casual gamers were not the target audience for this game, though, and the reviews have all been pretty clear about combat being difficult. That said, I would not be at all surprised if it was eventually modded to be easier for those who wish for such.
  11. I actually hoped that Withdraw will get nerfed too. Right now I just refuse to use it. I'd suggest that Withdraw should have shorter duration or provide only a partial damage mitigation. I'd like it to have a shorter duration too, not because of ways to abuse it but because I'd like to get my people back in the fight before it's over one of these days.
  12. I would really, really, really like this as an option.
  13. There's certainly stuff after act 3, going by my Steam achievements, but whether it's a proper, full act I don't know. In BG2 the length of the act after you got out of the Underdark could be either really short or really long, depending on how much side content you left, and it's possible there's something similar for act 3 here. Given the level you can be when you reach Dyrford Village, though, and the fact that there's a second big city after Defiance Bay (which is hopefully as packed with quests), it definitely suggests to me that there's a problem.
  14. I think xp needs to be turned down across the board for side content, not just on PoTD.
  15. I agree with this; reaching Dyrford Village for the first time (which is where I am, at a lower level from skipping some things until they've got bugfixes) at level 10 feels like much too fast progression for a game where I'd been under the impression you were only supposed to hit the level cap if you did nearly all of the side content. There's still over two acts to go, yeah?
  16. Yeah, I'm feeling like we get too much XP. We're supposed to reach the level camp if we do nearly everything, right? Feels like I'm going to hit it much sooner at present.
  17. I'm having to do that simply because of the fatigue penalties. It's annoying, really; I end up making my choices re spell and ability uses based on how long I can go before I know they'll kick in.
  18. Ya thats what I'm saying. It's just tedium + restricting builds on the 3 casters. I've tried editing the camping_supplies file with Unity editor but it doesn't seem to do anything. "Casts spells constantly and rests every two hours" is not a build.
  19. I actually never knew Chill was enemy-only until I read the patch notes. I had been treating it as if it would damage allies, and was careful not to cast it on them. It's not so bad. Same here. I've also never used Slicken. And yet I'd still consider Aloth one of my most valued party members; he's certainly outdamaged everyone else thus far, though I'm sure Grieving Mother will catch up quickly.
  20. Darren - this backer who put her long-awaited game on hold to wait for the patch is perfectly fine with doing so, as well as with your communication on this matter. Remember that the people who are getting all worked up about this are naturally going to be the loudest, because people don't tend to drop by just to give an "everything's okay here and I'm not angry, by the way" status update, yeah?
  21. Some people in another thread mentioned to me that they had, but I've no idea why it worked for them and not us.
  22. I'm thinking it'll be in the following patch at this point.
  23. I don't think my Pallegina bug is fixed yet, nor the mess that is the Sanitarium I'll give it another month before I start whining, I think.
