The fellwood and dragons eye in icewind dale 2 are horrible places. I never want to see that sort of place in a computer game ever again.

The only game I have found that is fairly challenging(not too much though) and interesting(combatwise) throughout was Icewind Dale 1. When willwe get an rpgwherecombat is actually difficult!?

I have a question about these games. Are they any good? Are they linear or non linear? Can you steal from and kill npcs? Can you customize your characters? Do they have indepth dialogue and quests? Thanks.

IWD2 has really ****ty loot. I had to wait until the end of chapter 2 before i got the first magic 2 handed sword for my fighter. Lootwise icewind dale 2 was garbage. One of the reasons why i didnt enjoy combat in iwd2 was that at the end of combat you didnt get any loot as rewards (and due to my low number of characters, no xp either), which meant that combat was useless.

Tim cain is a crappy designer. The rules and combat system of arcanum was completely whacked, a retarded child could have come up with a better system. What kind of stupid system gives you 1 point when you level up to distribute amongst god knows how many skills, stats and other things? Who came up with the retarded design idea of making guns do almost no damage, or making them useless by allowing enemies to run up to you in 1 turn? Its purely horrible design. Who came up with the idea of making the towns of temple of elemental evil completely bland and lifeless? Who came up with those pain in the ass quests? And I simply cant imagine how much stupidity it takes in order to design the identify spell to only tell the name of an item and not what it does. I think its good that troika will disappear. It is better to have no rpgs coming out than for me to waste my money on crappy rpgs because even though i know they are crap and probably wont play them i still end up wasting my money on them due to my desperation for rpgs to play.

True, thats why the warcraft 3 storyline sucked. BTW in warcraft 1 the orcs lost. In warcraft 2 they launched a new invasion after their previous defeat.

Is thereany website where I can read the starcraft/broodwar storyline, including the dialogues? I have forgotten most of it, specially the broodwar part.

That just illustrates my point. Both of those games are heavily concentrated on the multiplayer side.

Icewind dale 1 was an excellent game. Fallout 2 wasnt that buggy.

I dont think blizzard will ever make a rpg. Blizzards games tend to be multiplayer friendly action or strategy games.

Warcraft 3 was quite crappy. The warcraft setting was adulterated with a lot of dnd garbage, the balance sucked, the graphics were too crappy and cartoony, and the game just sucked all in all.

I voted for icewind dale 1, but baldurs gate 1 comes damn close. baldurs gate 2 and icewind dale 2 sucked.
