  5. That's because with age cartilage is slowly replaced with solid bone in your body. So they try to slow that process to keep themselves more flexible. But the drugs they use for that disrupt their bodies' natural growth/maturation, that's why they look like freaks. And you don't even want to know what sorts and how many problems they have after their 'athletics' career has ended... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What sorts? Like not being able to find dates?
  6. Why would they do that to themselves? That sounds quite stupid to me.....
  7. I havent watched womens gymnastics, but what makes them look like freaks?
  8. Yeah, the camera always pans away when someone is getting killed. They didnt even show any proper dead bodies.

  10. Now, I'm by no means an expert in Hindu mythology, but I do live in Edison, NJ (we have more Indians than India does, and cricket is a national sport here) and all my best friends are Indian. I was under the impression that Indra was a pretty major god? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, in fact no one prays to Indra at all! Ask youre friends if any of them have ever prayed to Indra, Im sure that no one will say yes. The only gods worshipped in India are: Vishnu/Krishna/Rama Shiva Kali/Durga/Mahakali/etc Lakshmi/Parvati Saraswati Ganesh(the one with the elephant head) Murugan/Kaartikeya/Skanda - (the brother of Ganesh) *Various incarnations and forms of the above Gods are also worshipped *In some regions of India some of the other gods are worshipped but this is not widespread *For Hindus who like to worship god in a female form, lakshmi/saraswati/durga are regarded as a single goddess who is called Devi Ma(mother goddess). Some dieties like Hanuman(the monkey) or radha(devotee of Krishna) are worshipped but are not considered gods but worshipped as a symbol of devotion to god (the way catholics worship saints). Brahma is considered a God but he is not worshipped. So there are only 7 Gods who are worshipped in modern Hinduism(and 1 that isnt). The gods such as Indra, Yama, Agni, Surya, Varuna, Chandra, Soma and all the others were worshipped in India thousands of years ago during the Vedic period before the development of classical Hinduism. Like the Greek pantheon, each of these gods was in charge of some aspect of nature, such as the moon, the planets, the earth, thunder, seas, oceans etc. However, they were not regarded as individual beings but more of diff ways of representing god. Hinduism believes in a single "divinity" that pervades the entire universe(pantheism/monism). So these gods personified different forces or parts of the divinity that pervaded the world/universe. So, the Vedas declare "Truth(god) is one, but it is called by many different names". However later on the trio of gods (brahma, vishnu shiva = trimurti) who symbolized creation, existence and destruction basically became regarded as the supreme gods because in later Hinduism, the functions they personified became regarded as the most important ones. And their consorts also became major goddeses symbolizing wealth, knowledge and power(the thigns that people want most). The incarnations of Vishnu and the sons of Shiva also became popular. When these gods took over and Hinduism evolved, new texts called "Puranas" which deal mostly about these gods instead of the vedic ones complemented the Vedas(which mostly praised older gods like Indra). In the Vedas, for example, Vishnu was just a minor diety who considered a friend of Indra. But in the Puranas he is one of the supreme Gods. However Shiva(called Rudra in the vedas) and Brahma were important Vedic dieties, but they were not the top ones. Today most of the Vedic gods like Indra and the others are considered as demigods(but not as God itself like the 8 I mentioned) and are still respected and considered to rule the various aspects of the universe but they are not worshipped.(although some rituals are still performed dedicated to them)
  11. LOL, I wonder why the hell the stupid scientists are busy studying all sorts of things using x rays when they could investigate the Islamic "sex rays from female hair" Theory instead. :D :D
  12. Yes but some parts of it are just crazy, for example: Hair emitting socially dangerous sex rays? Riding bikes make women uncontrollably horny? These people are completely insane.
  13. Ive never been to Russia, but: 1. Its economy is in shambles 2. Its environment is getting more screwed up by the day 3. Its basically run by the mafia 4. Its infested with commies 5. Its commiting genocide against ethnic minorities, an act it seems very fond of doing 6. It hardly has any population that is large enough of a market to encourage investors 7. Moscow is filled with racist skinheads who kill middle eastern children 8. On a positive note, theyre selling weapons to India. But then again theyre also selling weapons to everyone else including terrorist states like iran. All in all I dont like Russia, it sounds like a sickening place.
  14. LOL youre right, Indra is a powergamer compared to the other gods. Kali actually has EIGHT arms, the most in the Hindu pantheon ( Normally minor dieties like Indra have 2 arms while major ones like Vishnu and Shiva have 4). Kali is represented with a hideous and terrible countenance, dripping with blood, encircled with snakes, having garlands of skulls and human heads, and in all respects resembling a demon rather than a goddess. Shes the goddess of death, desruction, war, and pretty much everything evil. Her other personality(the positive form), Durga, is the goddess of divine power and the slayer of demons. Durga is pictured as a beautiful woman, and she rides a lion, and carries a conch, discus, trident, bow, arrow, sword, dagger, serpent, mace and other objects. I think theres no beating Kali.
  15. Some excerpts from the following article: http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/18656.htm A circular from the Ministry of Islamic Guidance and Culture in Tehran asks TV editors to make sure that women's games are not televised live: "Images of women engaged in contests [sic] must be carefully vetted," says the letter, leaked in Tehran. "Editors must take care to prevent viewers from being confronted [sic] with uncovered parts of the female anatomy in contests." . . . Fear of Muslim viewers seeing bare female legs and arms on television is also shared by theologians in several Arab states. Sheik Yussuf al-Qaradawi, an Egyptian theologian based in Qatar, claims that female sport is exploited as a means of undermining "divine morality." Ayatollah Emami Kashani, one of Iran's ruling mullahs, goes further. In a recent sermon, he claimed that allowing women to compete in the Olympics was a "sign of voyeurism" on the part of the male organizers. "The question how much of a woman's body could be seen in public is one of the two or three most important issues that have dominated theological debate in Islam for decades," says Mohsen Sahabi, a Muslim historian. "The question how much of a woman's body could be seen in public is one of the two or three most important issues that have dominated theological debate in Islam for decades," says Mohsen Sahabi, a Muslim historian. "More time and energy is devoted to this issue than to economic development or scientific research. " The Khomeinist version of the hijab, invented in the 1970s and now popular in many countries, including the United States, covers a woman's entire body but allows her face and hands to be exposed. Hijab theoreticians agree on one claim: a woman's hair emanates dangerous rays that could drive men wild with sexual lust and thus undermine social peace. But the problem of women athletes goes deeper. Some theologians claim that any form of sporting activity by women produces "sinful consequences." In 2000, for example, the Khomeinist authorities in Tehran announced a ban on women riding bicycles or motorcycles. The rationale? Riding bicycles or motorcycles would activate a woman's thighs and legs, thus arousing "uncontrollable lustful drives" in her. And men watching women on their bikes in the streets could be "led towards dangerous urges." Guys, we've all felt those trousers tighten when a woman on a ten-speed shoots her hair rays at us. The problems don't end there. According to some theologians, a woman should not be allowed to venture out of her home without a "raqib" or male guardian. But that guardian must be either her husband or her father, brother, grandfather, uncle or son. Even if a woman is accompanied by such a "raqib" at a sporting event, the problem isn't solved. One woman's "raqib" will be a stranger to the other women playing, say, a game of volleyball. Thus any sport involving more than one woman produces complex chaperonage problems. Last year, the Tehran Municipality presented a plan to provide sports facilities for women. . . . A model stadium was set up with 12-foot-high walls to make sure that no one could see the women from the outside. The stadium was to operate with an all-female staff, including coaches and administrators. The plan was scrapped last February, when critics claimed that the proposed stadium was located close enough to an airport that women in the stadium might be seen by men flying above them in jetliners and helicopters. . . . The municipality still hopes to find another plot of land to build an all-female facility. "Women account for a majority of the population in this city," says Esfandiar Mashaie, Tehran deputy mayor for social affairs. "We cannot ask them to pay municipal taxes but be denied the same facilities as men simply because we fear that some men may go wild by seeing women doing sport." At times, fear of women doing sports causes major headaches for Islamic governments. The Islamic Republic in Iran, for example, has agreed to host the Muslim Women's International badminton games next year. Although all the participating athletes have agreed to wear uniforms that cover them from head to toe, the organizers are still worried that men might sneak in to have a look at what is going on. To solve the problem, the authorities have decided to hold the games in a remote mountain resort. The only road leading to the resort will be sealed by an all-female unit of the paramilitary Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The games will be organized and supervised by exclusively female staff and recorded by an all-female TV crew. "The place would look like a lepers' colony," says Soheila Karimi, a women-rights campaigner. "These people live on another planet and in a different epoch."
  16. Why would they include them? Because its part of the story, and it would have made the movie better. I didnt sit in the theater for 3 hours in order to watch that idiotic and melodramatic ending.
  17. I think that the Greeks were portrayed as blond etc due to the ignorance of americans and other people who dont know what greeks look like.
  18. were you expecting anything more? I had fun, and I think if you put the notion that TROY is suppose to be an artistic feat out of your mind, you'll end up enjoying it too Sorry, but I actually expected that the story of the movie would at least resemble the illiad
  19. There was no such thing as a war crime during that time period. The victor could do as he pleased with those he captured or defeated. Violation of tradition was deemed far worse than things like murder or rape. Exactly, so why did the movie remove these things? The movie was just plain idiotic.
  20. Phosphor, the way I see it Troy tried to show the greeks as being not so bad by removing the war crimes they committed at the end.
  21. Homosexuality was very common in ancient greece and rome. Why would they want to omit that? What was ultimately the most disappointing part of the movie was the sanitized ending. I wanted to see some real butchery, enslavement, child slaughter, rape etc but in the end they made it too happy-happy.
  22. Yeah, the movie was as crappy as crap. A blond skinned greek? What the hell were the retards thinking? I was hoping for a modern version of the old "helen of troy" film with the new special effects and the modern higher standards of fight scenes and sound and backgrounds. Troy had none of that - it had nothing. They wasted a lot of time showing brad pits stupid face and playing framatic music while showing absolutely nothing when they should have been adding more relevant scenes such as the sacrifice of aggamemnons daughter etc. In the end the people of troy were slaughtered, the women taken as sex slaves, the kids including hectors son killed etc but they sanitized the ending by showing that everyone ecaped troy. ****ing hollywood filthy brainless **** moronic dogs!
