  1. I have no big problem with boobplate. It's still better than scantily clad female #531.
  2. I'll get South Park: SoT. Bravely Default for Nintendo 3DS will hopefully get a localization. I'll buy it day 1 if that happens. Tales of Xillia and Yakuza V are also day 1 purchases. I'll probably check out Divinity: Original Sin and Omerta: City of Gangsters. And the kickstarter games (I have backed) with a 2013 release date.
  3. Don't have a car, don't drink or smoke, don't eat out a lot, no big purchases planned for the near future. I thought long and hard about this one. In the end, it's not only about Project Eternity, but also about supporting Obsidian. The games they have released are all games I have enjoyed immensly and consider some of my favorite games of all time. My contribution is small in the grand picture, but worth it for me. I still look at the sum and shake my head sometimes!
  4. I hope you're mistyping. Not this time.
  5. I've only backed role playing games. Wasteland 2 $30 The Banner Saga $50 Shadowrun Returns $15 Dead State $21 Project Eternity $1000 I wanted to back a few more, but I'll get those when they release. I also thought I had backed Expeditions: Conquistadores, but it turns out I hadn't.
  6. It could still have wild life in it, but it doesn't mean that I'd want to fight every time I enter that area. If you get a new quest in said area, then there can be respawned monsters, or some cool random encounter can take place. I just don't want to kill a pack of enemies and come back to face an exact replica of that pack of enemies.
  7. What do you guys think about this? Part of me doesn't want to see this at all. If I've cleared an area, I hope it stays free from hostile humans/creatures. I don't mind if there are some dungeons or a few other areas that have them, but overall, I'm against this idea. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?
  8. There could be a mandatory tutorial that could be skipped once you have beaten it in any playthrough. The tutorial could be the events that leads to the whole situation that starts the game for real. (The big event that the hero stumbles upon.)
  9. I'd like to see an elementalist. Not just a mage that uses elemental spells like fireballs and lightning bolts. I want him/her to be able to fight with a weapon (even if he/she is not as powerful as a pure melee class), and use magic. The elementalist would only be able to use spells based on enviroments. Fighting in a tunnel undeground? Summon a Stone golem, or he can hurl a storm of rocks at enemies. Maybe he can trap enemeies in some sort of petrification spell, and more. Fighting in a pub? Use an open fireplace to your advantage. Hurl wooden objects at your opponents. Fighting in a windy field? Create a tornado or something like that. Fighting in snowy mountains? Hail storms on enemies. It might not do great damage, but might slow or lower vision of enemies. Fighting near a river? Summon a water elemental, or drown enemies. Another type of mage would have nothing to do with elemental magic. It could be more disturbing stuff. Spells that scares enemies, sucks their life force, shadows, insects, summoning wierd creatures.
  10. I sure hope they bring is to pc. While I will buy it on Xbla if I have to to play it, I'd rather have it on my pc. PC version has been hinted at. Microsoft probably have it as a timed exclusive for XBLA.
  11. Above 25. Vampire: Bloodlines - The Masquerade
  12. In my no kills playthrough of Fallout: New Vegas, I was still a very evil character. I like that sort of choice. I didn't want to dirty my hands, but I also didn't want to be a goody-two-shoes.
  13. Probably the most interesting update for me, even if it doesn't really tell much other than the basics. Dragon Age also had separate points for combat skills and non combat skills, and it was one of the things it did right. It will be interesting to see how this will be implented into the game. I mean, there is a possibility to have five companions with you, and maybe they aren't needed if you decide to play a no voilence playthrough. On the other hand, some companions may think you're a coward if you avoid fights and they are active in your party.
  14. Great storytelling and choices are not mutually exclusive, wich past Obsidian (and some other) games already proved.
  15. Just a little bit about the general setup, but not actual story details. Some info about a companion or two, some background info. General info on some factions, that in no way spoils story. Maybe even some lore about the world, so we have something to discuss, but still not having to fear spoilers.
  16. I'm almost done with Mark of the Ninja. Only the last level remaining. It's been such an awesome game, and I have to say that it's one of the best XBLA games I have played.
  17. Guns versus mages makes sense, and I like that idea. Seems like you'll use them to break magic shields, so that means they have a fairly specific use. Armoured mages sounds good to me. I dislike the fact that most rpg's decide that mages can only wear robes and not wear armour. Now we might actually see some mages that might be able to fend for themselves. Reading about Souls has me thinking that we can expect unusual classes (or that's what I hope), since it seems to me like you'll be adventuring with people that have "strong souls", wich means they have their own powers. The question is if the use of powers will have any negative effect on souls, maybe wearing it out, leading to premature death. The new tier was a cool touch. If I hadn't already pledge an unhealthy amount of money, I would have tried to coordinate an Obsidian Community outlaws gang, but maybe someone else is willing to do that. My only real concern is that there are lots of rewards that are left to backers. Inns, outlaws, NPCs, and items. I think this is awesome, and that was why I pledged as much as I did, but I fear that Obsidian are giving away a bit too much freedom. I hope J.E:S and co, are very strict with what is acceptable and what is not. Tomorrow's update and the following J.E.S'. update are the ones I'm looking forward to the most. They are more interesting than gameplay footage at the moment.
  18. In that case, I'd be willing to help. I've already pledged my money, why not pledge some of my time?
  19. I really like some of the armour designs in Dark Souls, so I wouldn't mind if Obsidian made a few armours inspired by those designs.
  20. I'd like to help, but what would one need to know? Any programs and fancy stuff like that?
  21. As long as they are kept in tombs, graveyards and such, I don't mind. I just don't want to see them as random encounters in places they don't belong.
  22. I want no inventory limitations.
  23. Only on rare occasions for rare enemies or some tougher side quest bosses, but not for the main story (only if it makes sense).
  24. I would love if it was an option to complete the game without killing anyone, but it wouldn't be something I did on a first playthrough.
