Exploration System
Labadal replied to Semper's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I found the exploration in these games to be very fun, so I'll have to go with that, but I don't mind if they use -
Party Size
Labadal replied to oldmanpaco's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
6 characters is a good size. More would be to stressful to handle. less than 4 would be a letdown, but I don't think that will happen. -
What type of game system?
Labadal replied to Metabot's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Of the three options listed, the second one is the one I prefer for this kind of game. If I'm going to have 4-6 characters, let me choose a class for each. Or let them have pre-set classes, just make characters different from eachother. If it was an rpg with only one character, the SPECIAL system works great. -
Doing party AI right.
Labadal replied to Odarbi's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I'd like to see detailed options for party members. Something like gambits used in Final Fantasy XII. Have the option to turn them on/off at will. This basically means that you can decide what AI controlled characters are doing in battle.- 17 replies

Josh Sawyer being sneaky
Labadal replied to FearMonkey's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Sawyer teasing on twitter. -
I'd like an RPG that is set in a prison. Different gangs, struggle for power, bribe guards, blackmail corrupt guards, threaten other inmates and so on.

If you're trying to capture a lot of territory and stores ect because you think it will impact the plot then stop right now, it has no effect on the story whatsoever. Getting a high synchronization to unlock hidden memories involves a lot of repetitive crap. And then it turns out those hidden memories are just two minutes of inane soap opera drama. It's not like the plot could be saved after the AC2 nonsense, and they even managed to make it worse. I shudder to think there are still two games after. Last good game released by Ubisoft is still Prince of Persia, and I bet that one didn't have a 300+ development team. Rayman Origins is a great platformer.

Only 2 days to go. I'm starting to think this is either Defiance or Icewind Dale 3. This is most probably not Dungeon Siege 4 like I first guessed. -
Yes, I misworded my previous message. Used this guide, but did not install everything they listed. http://thunderpeel2001.blogspot.se/2009/01/planescape-torment-fully-modded.html?m=1

Same here. Playing it with some mods, HD resolution and other minor things. I have high INT, CHA and WIS. Companions do most of the battling. I have 2 characters recruited so far, on my way to receuit yet another character after I complete 3-4 sidequests.

I knew because I occasionally sneak into the Obsidian office at midnight. -
My serious guess is Dungeon Siege 4

Puypuyopop? We all know this is Neverwinter Protocol: The Fallout Lords You play an agent in the city of Neverwinter and your goal is to take down different druglords because the number of drug addics have dramatically increased. As a side effect, all types of crimes have increased. You can develop you agent depending on your playstyle. Help clean up the decay of Neverwinter. -
I'm happy that the game got funded, and I hope it turns out really well. The setting isn't overused in rpgs, and the gameplay looks like it could be fun.

Cool, I would have answered it anyway, but it's never wrong to get a free game.

System requirements - PC version
Labadal replied to mtsach's topic in South Park: The Stick of Truth: General Discussion
Doesn't the game release in six months? System req's are probably not finalized. -
This sounds interesting. I'll have to check this out sometime. Played some Borderlands on PS3. Been working on the Undead expantion. Don't think there's much to do, a few more quests and it's done. This game would have been mind numbingly boring in single player, but it's fun with a friend (or more).

I'm playing for free up 'till level 15. It took me several tries, and I still don't know how I got it working.

My brother will be using my STEAM account to play NWN2, so I'll try to work on my GoG backlog. Not many games, but all of them are 30-80 hour games. I checked my completed games list and realized I have completed 27 games this year, yet my backlog is twices as big compared to the beginning of the year.

I'm playing on Tomb of Freedom Nadd (EU). I started out with a Sith Inquisitor, but I'll see if I stick with him or not. Seems fairly fun to play as so far.

I downloaded the game (not playing with a sub), but it tells me I need to redeem a code. I don't remember getting one. What is this stupid guy doing wrong. Please help him. NVM, it's working now.

Played some Mark of the Ninja. A very fun 2D stealth game on XBLA. This is getting me in the mood for Dishonored, me likey stealth games that allows you to approach encounters in different manners.

I haven't played much this week. Completed episod 2 & 3 in the Sam & Max: The Devil's Toybox series. I'm working my way through King's Bounty: Armored Princess. I have access to most islands, but I'm having trouble progressing in only one. I have to go back and forth to get stronger for some battles. I'm also playing Sleeping Dogs. But the last time I started it to play, I ended up doing a mission or two, then I sat Wei in a car and left the computer to do other stuff. The soundtrack is really good, so I listened to it while cleaning and doing other boring things.
