Neverwinter Nights 2 or Dungeon Siege 3?
Play NWN2, it is a decent game, even OC isn't so bad as some people believe, and everyone agrees that Mask of the Betrayer is a masterpiece. If you don't play Dungeon Siege 3, you won't miss much.

Discussion about Caravans?!
Robbing caravans would be more fun.

Torment: Tides of Numenera?
Original Fallout music was also quite different from PST soundtrack. It's good to see that Mark didn't lose his touch.

The good, bad, and the ugly in Infinity Engine games
Baldur's Gate is one of my favourite games, though I've played it years after the release (unlike the others here). I liked the story and characters (Jaheira, Imoen, Kivan, Minsc, Dynaheir...), combat and exploration were fun and the music great (it was written by Michael Hoenig himself!). When I moved on to play Baldur's Gate 2, I liked it too, of course, it is a superior game. There were a downside though - BG2 was too story-driven, and sometimes it felt a bit restricting. And, more importantly, the story itself wasn't very good. As for Icewind Dale, those games are basically just dungeon crawlers. I liked the atmosphere in IWD, but never finished the sequel, just got tired of all the combat. They were fun to play, yes, but I really hope that Project: Eternity will not be an updated version of IWD.

Not sure what does it mean, but it sounds intriguing.

"I think I'm gonna have to go on a KILL-ing spree"
Yeah... When I replay Icewind Dale, I always choose this voice for my dwarven fighter. And I always have a dwarven fighter in my party.

Aliens: Crucible gameplay footage
I agree that combat doesn't look very impressive, but otherwise, the game did have a lot of potential.

New Star Wars RPG
Not this again. You know, I've bought boxed copy of KOTOR 2, played the game and finished it, and I encountered only one serious bug (when you meet Handmaiden on Telos). The game has bad reputation not because of the bugs, but because of the ending.

User interface, camera, character selection
Say no to camera rotation.

Wasteland 2 Kickstarter
And Fargo said that we won't have to rotate the camera... I hope that PE devs won't change their minds as well. I can live with that, of course, but this is just annoying, constantly moving it to see many small objects on the ground.

Chris Avellone playing Arcanum
Chris probably tried to play unpatched version gifted to him by the Codex (with the most vile intent, no doubt) and rage quit after one of the game-breaking bugs. No Arcanum footage for you, sorry(((

Update #40: Orlan First Look and Ziets on Pantheon Design
it doesn't mean "eagle" orly? Белоголовый орлан = Haliaeetus leucocephalus = Bald eagle point being: there's no word for "орлан" in English. or, what's more likely, there's not enough of a difference between the two to be called differently, so it's the same thing, and Russians are overcomplicating it. I don't want to argue, but perhaps you should learn Russian before jumping to conclusions? On a side note, 'orlan' is probably not based on a Russian word at all and this is just a coincidence. We don't know who came up with it and why.

Update #40: Orlan First Look and Ziets on Pantheon Design
Orlan is a strange word, it doesn't really sound 'Russian' though it exists in the Russian language and means not "eagle" (oryol) but a different bird of prey, that resembles eagle. Orlan and oryol have the same root (orl) but orlan also has suffix 'an'. It's unusual for Russian and also quite ancient. For example 'bratan' means 'bro', while 'brat' means 'brother'. 'Bratan' is considered informal or even offensive today but it was more widespread in ancient times.

Favourite Companions
That's a tough choice, really, because I liked most of them. Morte Dakkon Virgil Marcus Bao-Dur Something like this. And no Kreia, she was just annoying. Atton is Morte, basically.
