Does anyone know why Games Workshop didn't sue Blizzard? it's a more cast iron case than White Wolf had with Underworld. I've seen Chinese knock-offs that are a better attempt at disguise. My guess would be because they didn't look similar enough. I mean, 'Nids have a consistent aesthetic and while the Zerg are similar, they don't really share the looks.

I watched her video and an older Bayonetta "review" of hers. I'd like to discuss her video, but I talked with a few female friends and came to two conclusions: she is right, everyone who disagrees is wrong, and at best I get headaches, at worst stares. Not really worth the effort imo. I mean really, in the comments to your link, a WOMAN was talked down for DARING to disagree and disliking her. Let's just say that her point would have more merit if she wasn't dissecting a 20(?) year old children's game about a stereotypical personalityless Italian (who grows huge from mushrooms) trying to save the personalityless princess* of the mushroom people who got kidnapped by the evil turtle (yes I know hey are supposed to be kappa) kingdom and their personalityless boss. Doesn't even have a plot! It's just silly imo, and the gaming industry has come a LONG way since then. From my chats it seems to me that it's not the DiD that's the problem. It's that women aren't the protagonists. Which is true, there should be more, but I don't see how she/they want to change this if they focus on an antiquidated concept in an antique game, and frankly, ignoring every other positive trait that character may have. One friend of mine dismissed Lara Croft on the ground of her being a sex symbol, completely ignoring her personality and character. I mean really, at least give credit where it's due. Also, I hate -isms. Damn, I still ended up talking about the issue. -.- *If instead of her being kidnapped, Bowser had stolen her IMPORTANT SCEPTER there would still be complaints as to why she sends Mario instead of getting it back herself. We had a thread about them way back actually, but it died when they "suddenly" stopped posting episodes on the Escapist.

I'm hoping they don't pull a Frozen Throne this time and derail the story just so they can announce an MMO. I felt the whole of Wings of Liberty (and thus the expansions in turn) were only meant, storywise, as world-building in anticipation of a MMO. After all, already in WoL they scaled down from the "epicness" they always seemed to aim for, to tell a much more personal story which did not call for a "And you have vanquished all your enemies. Everyone is dead Jim. But once we make a sequel we'll have to figure out how to bring people back to life." I think they are trying to make a more gradual evolution in the story towards the MMO type world with the required loads of factions, locations etc than what they did with Frozen Throne. These are some of the many reasons why I'm scared they are shooting for an MMO.

So Osvir can't find me on the NA server and I can't find neither him nor .Leif. I did find one Melkathi, but it seems this is a different one? Not good. :/

You seem to forget one thing: realistic or not is NOT the main aspect taken into thought here, gameplay mechanics are! Josh said it a while ago that combat design in PE strives to be fun and interesting to play, not especially realistic. Not to mention you won't see anyone in real life running for his life, stop for a split second to shoot an arrow, then continues running.

The problem isn't that release dates will be missed. It's that after getting 2-300% funding and reaching every stretch goal, development will likely stretch and they fail to point this out.

I'm hoping there will be a viable food chain/economy (probably using the wrong word) eco system -man I'm stupid- in PE instead of random monsters infesting everything and you just sit there and wonder why they haven't trampled every city to dust with their pathetic level 1 guards. Also, proper creatures instead of monsters. And personally, I'd be happy if not every creature was "combat ready". Succubbus turns into a human, charms someone, then gets found out. No combat, no fancy spells. She runs or dies. I just don't see why players can be combat/stealth/diplomacy boys and enemies can't.

We know there will be faithful and -excuse the pun- free spirited paladins in the game. How about they have a rival/suspicious view of each other? The faithful see the free as posers and glory hounds, while the free view them as posers who want to draw the ordinary folk into their churches via their "charity work".
