  1. Lol CDPR patching out Tages out of Witcher and offering it DRM free on GOG with visible performance boost is now pirate propaganada? Hyperbole much? :D Don't be silly. Even if people show all the evidence there is available on legit sites on Denuvo, you are downplaying it. Why bother explaining anything, when the person on other side is not interested in listening at all.
  2. *facepalm* TW1 used Tages, read up little bit on it, before spewing another proDRM bile, please
  3. Well, on one hand he is kind of right. If all gamers had at least some basic principles, EA would be out of business years ago
  4. There are still some gamers who stay true to their principles, most of them are not target audience for AAA companies though, that's why understand of an Indie developer does something bordering with AAA shadiness, some blood will be boiled.
  5. New jRPG available on GOG. Caligula Effect: Overdose https://www.gog.com/news/release_the_caligula_effect_overdose
  6. I have just finished my first blind playthrough of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition on PS4. After I have played Tales of Graces f as a first Tales of game, I have found out, that I have been missing out on one of the best jRPG series ever created. After playing few more games from the series, it became my favourite series of games as well. I have been waiting for this game more than 5 years to be released in the West, on one the platforms I own. The long wait was really worth it. It will definitely not be my favourite Tales of game, like for many other people, because I am very bad at combat in this game but I've enjoyed the story and the characters, so I hope Namco Bandai will bring more of the Japan only Tales of games to the West, and that GOG could one day make a deal with them so I can purchase in also DRM free on PC And with the end of the game, it happened to me after very long time, that I am sad, that the game and with it the story has concluded.
  7. For WoW it was intended game design, where you needed loads of Nature Resist gear against Princess Huhuran in Ahn'Qiraj. The best NR gear dropped only from World bosses, which were instafarmed by 1 or 2 top guilds on each server, right after they respawned. The other option was low level farming. Later they added some NR tailoring recipes for AQ20 reputation.
  8. Judgement, New game from the Ryu ga Gotoku studio (Yakuza) will be released in the west on june 25. yay *cheers* https://www.siliconera.com/2019/03/05/judgment-will-be-doled-out-on-the-playstation-4-on-june-25-2019/
  9. Paizo 10 years anniversary Pathfinder Humble Bundle )
  10. looks like there is no option to reset your progress https://digitalextremes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/200182120-Can-I-reset-my-Account-
  11. Is it Steam exclusive?
  12. Age of Wonders II from GOG sale. In dire need of an old school TB strategy.
  13. And bad graphics and lantency
  14. I might be a stranger one, but I have enjoyed the first one a lot as well. With the exception of "Final Dungeon".
  15. Also this program took a lot of money out of their pockets, while they were trying to be pro consumer. With Epic introducing lowet fee, GOG has to lower their fee as well, or lose the competiveness. My understanding is, that all that stuff and restructurizing might be most probable due to the Epic Store aftermath. https://www.gog.com/news/conclusion_of_the_bfair_price_packageb_program
  16. That's fine, you can still hug all of us Yakuza fans here We share the same love for brilliant game design in these games It will confort us while we wait for Y3,Y4 and Y5 to be remastered for the West
  17. Little bit of topic, but nice to see you again alanschu. I did not wanted to say welcome back in the Bioware doom and gloom thread. I hope you can stay here some time longer and from time to time "leak" in between the lines some interesting info
  18. Pretty much this. If a company (in this case EA and their Bioware subsidiary) is convinced their way forward is Battle Royale game and micro transactions, the only way to go forward is to do what they did. The market, being just as ruthless as any corporation, will then decide whether that model will stand the test of time. There are of course classier ways of commenting on it than just simple minded gloating and wishing people out of work. The only people wishing people out of work are the spineless executives, with their unsustainable quest for all the money in the world. Just look at Activision, despite record breaking earnings, they sack 750 people. Because it was still not enough. Companies with short term gain goals are the worst for the employment economy, and people should also think twice, if it is worth for them to work for such a company. Everyone has a choice to either work for smaller company as a programmer, or to work for a company, which won Worst Company in the USA twice in a row. If they choose the latter, there are consequences to that choice. Man can only blame himself, for his poor choices made.
  19. Yes, but DA4 was “refocused” few months ago, to be more in line with Live Service vision of EA. I expect Anthem with swords...
  20. If you want some insights and opinions on lot of stuff in Anthem, here is IMHO pretty solid review of it. also YongYea's News on the current state of the game. looks like even "game journalists" are not very keen to write good reviews about the game (Metacritic on 61) User even lower
  21. There is still GOG, and thousands over thousands of hours of games available with no online component. Enough stuff to fill my hobby for few lifetimes. EA, Ubi and others can shove their live services in The Place, where the Sun, Never Shines...
  22. Anthem review by Ars Technica. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/02/anthem-game-review-honestly-its-not-finished/ Undertitle says it all "It's out, finally. But maybe it shouldn't be." Now the guessing game starts, whether or not was Apex Legends final nail to the Bioware coffin even before the release or not. *shrugs*
  23. Sort of wish that would happen, all this crying about 'anti-consumer' aside. Would be nice to see the reaction from the gamer community Yeah yeah, we get it. You don't actually play games, you're just here for the laughs. Who says I don't ? But watching the 'gamer community' be outraged, threaten boycotts that they'll never follow through on, etc., you have to admit it's pretty entertaining. Katphood, we all are here for the games, but watching internet drama is sometimes more entertaining than playing AAA games
  24. Just Finished Act II of Tales of Vesperia. The story had few interesting typical JRPG twists, but so far it is solid with no WTF moments Just with higher levels, the fights get slower for me, because I am kind of lazy to spent to much time with setting up “proper” skills. In the end, the game is little bit more challenging that way, so it’s OK for me
