  1. It's not Dune. It's a new IP Cain&Boyarsky etc. have created. It's not Sawyer's historical game either. Sawyer is producing the game, he isn't the project director and the game has been in the making for few years already and Josh just got moved onto the project. And the project has a name Project Indiana. Obsidian has trademarked The Outer Worlds so the game is most likely going to be called that. I mean, this info basically screams a new, but familiar take on Fallout 1+2, perhaps a spiritual successor to those games, a bit like Pillars of Eternity vis-a-vis Baldur's Gate (no other comparisons intended). I'd hazard a guess and say that it will be party-based and isometric. They are using Unreal Engine for the game and I have vague memory of reading somewhere that it is actually an open world game. Which would make it more like Vampire:Bloodlines. Sigh... not another open world :'( The only thing, which interests me now about the game is: Will it be available on GOG?
  2. Yeah... I'm gonna need a source on that. As far as I'm aware they simply forked the project and rebranded. It will take a while for them to transition away from the underlying architecture of the library and the game logic built around it. Ok, so I went ahead and read the Wikipedia articles about both Gamebryo and the Creation Engine. From what I gather Bethesda's fork isn't quite that old (< 10 years). Skyrim being the first Bethesda game using a (presumably) lightly modified version of it. So despite its issues I'd say Fallout 4 marked a clear step forward for the engine. Based on what Wikipedia says using it for Fallout 76 seems like it was just a bad idea as the concept of a single player apparently was a core assumption the engine made. I imagine just getting that to work on top of all the networking seems like it must have sucked up all the time of the engine team leaving other quite crucial changes behind, which could explain why, aside from the networking, the engine seems to have barely evolved since Fallout 4. The fact that they put all that effort in leads me to believe they're probably going to want to include some form of multiplayer in future Creation Engine games (TESVI co-op? Not certain how I feel about that), if not then this could have been a very expensive mistake. It would be easy to say they could have built a new engine in that period (I mean, teams have built engines in less time), but... How big is Bethesda's engine team? How talented are the people on there? How about the tooling around it? I mean, working on something you have vs building that same thing from scratch are quite a different ballpark. And of course, while building a new engine, you can't really use it to build anything... I think in-house Crystal Engine by Squeenix is big enough warning to every other big developer when the idea of making their own engine crosses mind of any of their managers
  3. IIRC, the original Belgium report stated, that physical CCGs are uncomparable to any form of digital lootboxes, because some kimd of odds or so. But I can't find the article right now.
  4. I would understand if it was a third party license, but is there any reason why engines are not open source? It doesn't seem like a developer team whose engine isn't selling would keep it to themselves, specially when the result is a vibrant modding scene that will expand the longevity of the games and give them data on player behavior. Maybe the problem with Fallout 76 is that they didn't opened to the modder community; with that amount of user generated content and Bethesda moderating it, they could have had a better release. Although I do have an issue with moderation as it enforces values; I generally like to have a wider selection rather than a sanitized one. Because giving away things for free, would heavily interfere with player engagement and recirring monetization of live services why would you download your horse armor for free, if you can buy it for 5 bucks
  5. Thankfully, the serology testing is on much higher level than 20 years ago
  6. Just read the title of the thread
  7. Well that’s typical subscription model, which makes all of the actiUbiEaT2 execs wet all night long...
  8. That's just nostalgia blinding your judgement! [/sarcasm_off]
  9. Under age gambling in UK has quadrupled over last two years. Their gambling commision points at the culprit. Jim sterling’s take on the article. NSFW.
  10. And the Sundays Gran Turismo world finals. Very interesting races, and really thrilling until the end!!!
  11. Yup. I have checked the DLC tab, and only one was checked. All other were impossible to install for some reason. I even clicked on repair installation, with no success ( I will need to check it again this weekend or the next one, maybe it was just a weird bug of the former version.
  12. I installed it from standalone installers, and later I have imported it to Galaxy. But the Galaxy showed me only one DLC installed So I do not know, if that is OK, or something was wrong with the Galaxy at that time. Is about 4-5 weeks when I've tried it last time.
  13. Do you play Dungeons2 on Steam or GOG? I got it for free too, and bought all expacs on GOG, but I am unable to install all of them :-/
  14. Probably everyone missed it, but Dissidia NT after losing most of the playerbase is going F2P. At least in Japan for now. Can't find the article about west yet.
  15. I think I speak for all of us and truth when I say that you should think with your brain not with your nostalgia. Today's games are much better than Betrayal at Krondor was when it came out, and they're only getting better... ...eh, nah. Can't do it. Sorry. Mods! Do something! Sonicmage is hijacking other people accounts!!!
  16. After long while, I have played few hours of Assetto Corsa Ultimate. The difficulties really do not say anything. At some races, I have to concentrate every second on Medium difficulty, to be able to win, and at some races Medium means, that in 8 laps, I have lead over 90 seconds :-/ still the best physics on Playstation 4.
  17. Does not Facebook downscale your picture during upload, even on high res setting?
  18. Well no. I was surprised as well, that only these two "services" are supported...
  19. Yes, you can copy them to USB.
  20. As of today, 1079 games are playable from start to finish with RPCS3. Nearly perfect emulation can be achieved approximately 10 years after starting the work on emulator. So being salty and bitching that switch emulator is not working properly approximately 2 years after the release of the console, is one of the most ridiculous things in tech world, I have ever heard.
  21. I think it was a bit over 40GB for me (just under 80GB installed) Well, not gonna try it anytime soon then. Just 20GB free and atm cba to delete my most played stuff to get enough space for it :-/

  23. Anyone knows how big is PC download of Destiny 2?
