I have finished my second playthrough of Tales of Symponia on PS3. First time, I've played it in 2014 . I had not enough Grade to get bonus XP nor to transfer my earned Gald for New Game+, so I had to play it the classic way. With little bit of grinding for equipment and consumables for boss fights . I was able to finish every single sidequest and minigame, with the exception of Zelos' Gigolo title (because I've picked Kratos at the end of the game), which was a mistake during my planning phase for this playthrough. I've tried to achieve as much Titles as possible, with Kratos getting all of them, so the Platinum Trophy road is now at 54%. Game is still solid gold, with very good storyline, but it has not as enjoyable combat for me. Other Tales of... titles are much better in this regard. I should have now enough Grade to get transfered everything I've need for NG++.

Kratos is now level 100 After checking some of the other requirements for trophies, I have decided to add two more tedious goals to current playthrough, before getting to Final Boss. One of the goals is finally done, but maaan, getting 1million casino chips for a trophy which is based purely on luck... *sighs* I think I spent 2 and half hours hitting the lever, just to get the required chips... Enough time wasted with ridiculous low chances to win, that off-put me much enough from real world casinos for the next 20 years and made me even bigger opponent of “surprise mechanics” The final task which still awaits me, is Figurine book for Genis’ title. Lot of encounters and lot of stealing involved in it. I need 54 pellets, 57 fine pellets and 66 super pellets for figurine smelting, which need to be stolen from various mobs, and 85 rare pellets, which can be thankfully purchased in Altamira for Casino Chips. 2000 a piece. I still have over 800k from that silly trophy, so at least I do not need to farm these from a rare spawn in Derris-Kharlan...

More Tales of Symphonia on PS3 and Abyssion and Final Bosses of Forbidden Anamnesis are defeated 8 more levels to go for Kratos, and I will try to go for the final boss on higher difficulty

Killed last form of Sword Dancer in Tales of Symphonia for the first time Also I have for the first time cleared all advanced coliseum fights. Hardest for me was Regal and Colette. Most other characters including Raine and Genis were just breeze. Next goal is Abyssion, then grind Kratos to level 100 and finish game on Hard or Mania difficulty for respective trophies, to finish all my goals for the current playthrough.

Still waiting for GOG version of CK2, EUIV and VicII

Well from what I’ve seen in the few cutscenes from the W:YB, the two protagonists are just too much of a genderswapped Beavis and Butt-Head show, which induced me pretty big cringe, even at my teenage age

In 1.12, OOC res was already removed.

Yup, still got their T-Shirt of Pure Pwnage WoW cloth “armour” piece

Continue on my Tales of Symphonia marathon. I am in the last 3rd of the game, (start of Disc 2, if it would be the GC version of the game). Slowly playing around, doing all the sidequests and titles, which I missed 5 years ago, when I’ve played the game for the first time. Enjoying it much more than a lot of newer games, Just the combat is kind of not the most enjoyable

Yup, it was merger with Enix. But for some reason I have enjoyed also XII and XIII-2. I have not even started the XV, because how much they "westernified" the game. No reason to play japanese game, if it does not feel japanese anymore Thankfuly Tales of and Atelier series are still pretty much staying at least partially to their roots.
-
Just because of this, I still enjoy some older games more than their newer counterparts, which uses Ultra Realistic Graphics. Final Fantasy series comes as a perfect example of this...

They are 4 years to late to jump on the ASCII bandwagon https://www.gog.com/game/sanctuaryrpg_black_edition well unless it is the same developer

I have arrived at Tethe’alla in Tales of Symphonia. Slowly acquiring easier to get titles, and uncovering the plot twist second time. Some stuff I remember good, some stuff I do not remember at all. Combat feels little bit clumsy compared to other older Tales of titles, I’ve played. It will be very long time before I’ll have chance for Platinum with this one

Well it is harder to find play time for sure, but I am trying to find enough time once in a while to finish some games at my backlog. Sometimes more successfully, sometimes less. I still love RPGs, and I try to find enough time over time to finish them even if it takes few years Thankfully I still have good enough memory, to go back to the story after few months of break

I do not know, how it is on Steam, but in GOG you get an email notification, everytime your wishlisted game is on sale. I am putting on my wishlist mostly games where I am not sure, if they will be my cup of tea or not, but spending few bucks on them once in a while is not painful. I found few awesome jewels that way.
-
Nope, you should have wishlisted them on GOG instead

Just released the second seal in Tales of Symphonia. The game is very hard if you don’t grind. I am already curious how much I will get ass kicked, when I’ll go for the Gung Ho title next playthrough

Started my second playthrough of Tales of Symphonia. This time with walkthrough to go for allmof the sidequests and trying to do most of the titles. It was almost exactly 5 years, after, I’ve beat it for the first time.

Played Assetto Corsa today for more than 2 hours after a looong break. I am in middle of GT2X Championship, and as a next in line was Mugello track. This track is for me more challenging than Nordschleife and very hard to drive it without errors. And the race was 30 laps long Thankfully the setup provided by the game for this race was pretty solid so after 3 completely botched races, I was able to finish it on 4th try with only one hickup. Still after slowly moving forward to first place, I had to defend my position almost until the very last lap of the race. If anyone is interested, you can find my race against Medium AI here:

Also, very good video on addiction mechanics, which are put deliberately into games, to make people spending more and more and more. Also including excerpts of the Let’s go Whaling presentation, which was on some developer conference and was about the various kinds of manipulative exploitations, which get’s the money from your pockets the easiest way (including social bullying...) maybe it will show you some reasons, while these companies should be considered as evil corporations as well, even if they are not on the level of Monsanto and Nestlè... Even if you do not like Jim Sterling, this one is worth watching...
-
Now I just wish, that Morgoth would be still around... Video is NSFW - when you are so ****, than the developers rather ask people to pirate their games, than to buy from you...

The big advantage of GOG in this is that they are based in EU. If other launchers start to put some code, which will prevent competition in the market, all they need to sue them at EU court, like Google and MS were sued few times in the past.
