Goal nr. 4/2026 achieved. July 4, 15:15 – After few breaks in-between playing Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales from GOG, I have finally finished it 3 months after the first launch. It was my first and blind playthrough, which I have finished with unlock of all except two achievements, and which took me about 48 hours to play. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised, how much I have enjoyed this game, despite it being a deckbuilder, which is a genre, which I usually avoid. The main reason would be tons of choice of consequences, which were sometimes very hard to choose from and the consequences which I choose were sometimes pretty damning. All I can do now, is just hope, that CD Project will one day decide to make at least one more Witcher Tale, because there are very few games with such rich C&C gameplay.

Well as a guy with ugric and slavic ancestors, as soon as I received the mail, I knew, that there will be crazy backlash from it. Although as much as some people love to point fingers of blame, these runes are part of our ancient history and have been misused by neo-nazi propaganda. Removing these symbols from proto-slavic history because of these "modern" connections is stupid, and it can be seen as erasure of our ancient cultural heritage. Some people who have absolutely nothing with neo-nazis are still using these symbols around here, as much as some hinduists are still using swastikas. Shall we point fingers at them as well? That being said, one of the runes posted was the rune used by SS units, and one of them is used by russian neo-nazi battalion Rusich, which is actively brutalizing and killing ukrainian civilians... This should never gone through the approval process. So GOG ****ed up on that...

I just wish a day would be 48 hours long, as I never played the Mana series, but absolutely no time atm

Finally back to Thronebreaker: Witcher Tales after two months long break from gaming. With the small exception of one short weekend adventure with Hero of the Kingdom. Still on the second map. Few of the puzzle fights have been really hard to crack. But I was having fun with gaming again. Hopefully, I will have at least hour or two more to spare this week to finish Aedir and move to another land.

Goal nr. 3/2026 May 4, 23:00 – Having no mood for games in the last 6 weeks, I stumbled upon Hero of the Kingdom: The Lost Tales 1 on sale at GOG, and decided to find out if easygoing game like this one, will bring back that lost mood. And I think it was a good choice. As the three previous games in the series, it was again chill experience, although a little bit shorter. After a little bit over 5 hours, I have already found the main villain and unlocked all achievements in the game. This part of the series went back again to the way, how the materials and quests have been handled in the second part. Some busywork was still present when getting closer to the game finale, but the grind as experienced in the third game completely disappeared.

Yes I could, that is correct, but to me it is kind of hassle to do it. And it will become more of a hassle, as the time goes on, as I still prefer playing on my PS4 and PS3 consoles. And I am still buying once in a while new games for them. But yes, that is an issue which I could solve if I had mood and time for that. But, as we all have experienced last few years, it looks like that the world is slowly burning down, and being dependent on outside source to be able to access what I have purchased during another man made crisis, is IMHO not the smartest thing to do. For now it is still OK, but imagine, if people beyond the big pond will elect another MAGA muppet into the office in 2028, and the relationship between the USA and EU deteriorate even more. In worst case economic scenario, this could mean, that for US companies it would be extremely problematic to provide their services in EU. And all of the biggest players in providing these services, are based in USA, including SONY. In such a scenario it would be much more problematic to adhere to 30 day activation period. That being said, the chance of all of that gloom and doom happening is pretty slim (at least for now), but this risk is currently much higher than 15-20 years ago, when Valve, Sony and MS went full steam ahead on transition to "fully digital future."

My consoles were not connected online for last three months 🤷‍♂️ And my PC for month and half 🤷‍♂️ The issue is, that in the last 15 years, I was more often online than Playstation services 😄

Really no clue. I have three games on steam. On GOG, I do not have that kind of issue 🤷‍♂️

If there is still anyone, who missed this news, Sony added new DRM to PS4 and PS5 to newly purchased digital games. Seems like “license” for new digital games is valid only for 30 days. And I have already seen someone claiming with screenshot included, that the issue is also affecting new PS3 digital purchases. If this is the case, I would not be surprised, if this would also affect Vita as well.

I have not played it yet, but from what I understand, it is possible to make a "tank" build as well, if players has to much issues with parry and dodge QTEs.

Seems like memory shortages might be a history for a while. Micron's stock is nosediving. as it looks like OpenAI overpromised in their deal, and in my region we got price reduction of 30% at the biggest retailers in last two days. Do you have similar experiences around the world?
