If anyone is still wondering why Syrian people prefer ex-terrorists over Assad and Russia
-
Assad has become Russia’s puppet the day, they bombarded first hospital. This led to displacement of more than 12 million people while killing another million. All with the blessing of Kremlin, as destabilization of Europe woth refugees to allow rise of pro-Kremlin far right in Europe, was Putin’s plan since day 1
-
“We must ensure western voices dominate this anti imperialist discussion. The idea that Syrians themselves may have decided that ISIS is better than Kremlin cos it doesn't have an air force must be suppressed. It might lead to very awkward questions about us.” Darth Putin - December 9, 2024

Tens of thousands of refugees are already on their way home from Turkey and Lebanon. This will lead definitely to more stable situation in Lebanon as well, as there have been allegedly more than 1.5 million of them sheltered from Assad regime. Seems like even ex-Alqaeda and ex-ISIS guys are for them considered a better option than Russia was

Oh yeah, how we could forget Taliban, who is despised by their own people being business partner to Russia after they knocked out USA: Good. Possible HTS, who has been welcomed by their own people, and who for now promised to not exectute revenge on the rest of the Assad supporters, showing interest to talk with the West after they kicked out Russia: BAD!!!

The details of 400k casualties (not KIA) from Zelenskyi’s speech. “Zelensky: Since the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine has lost 43,000 soldiers killed in battle and provided assistance to 370,000 wounded. Around 50% of wounded soldiers return to duty. Russian casualties exceed 750,000, including 198,000 killed and over 550,000 wounded.”

I very well understand what you are talking, but do remember the millions of refugees, with which Assad and Putin flooded Türkiye and Europe to destabilize it. Weaker Russia means safer world in the future. Today even Christians of Damascus are celebrating HTS liberation, that’s how ****ed up was the Assad Putin duo in Syria… https://bsky.app/profile/tendar.bsky.social/post/3lcrsdx6cx22y I just hope it will last them for a long time. And yes, I am playing naive here. And the Kurds, with the exception of the city of Manbij, all of the territories under their “rule” are behind Euphrates river, so unless the HTS and Türkiye starts to use aviation against them, they should be “safe”. And yes, again I am trying to see a little bit brighter picture here than you. Nothing out of it might happen, and Syria can turn into mess again, but hopefully the rebels are also feeling tired from decade long civil war, and their brain will tell them, that more destruction in the country will not be to their benefits. But after today, the global world is a little bit safer again, as Russia has been dealt significant reputation blow, and they will soon loose their gateway port through which they exploit Africa… Edit: for now even Kurdish SDF command is looking forward to what happened to Assads’s regime. For now.

One of two planes leaving Damascus yesterday was either shot or landed near Homs, the second one landed in UAE. My guess would be, he was on plane to Dubai. Unless the pilot of the first one decided to hand over Assad to rebels
-
Hmm, hard to imagine greater evil than Snow ISIS and butcher of Damascus collaborating at Sednayah Prison. The remaining SAA troops at Damascus allegedly struck a deal with Rebels. Which pretty much means Damascus has surrendered. Seems like ComradeYellow’s prediction aged faster than a bottle of milk during the hottest summer day in Kuwaiti’s desert

Two private jets have left Damascus in the last hour or two. Seems like, they are already preparing to beg to keep their naval base. In the morning they were terrorist, in the evening they are legitimate opposition forces. The present changes so quickly, that they do not know, what will happen yesterday
-
As one of the classics said. Russia is ISIS, but with an air force. No wonder, that Syrians are cheering for radical islamists, as they are convinced, that it will be no worse than under Russian colonial boot.

PSN has free multiplayer weekend now, so I am trying my luck while playing Ko-op and versus matches in Mortal Kombat 11. Got the hardest online trophy yesterday (not because it is very hard to pull it off, it is just hard to find a Ko-op party of three people in the queue for Group Battle ). To my surprise, the matchmaking is very good, got matched only with one guy who obliterated my old ass, all other guys very pretty much on similar level as me. In previous titles it was pain in the ass to get matched with someone with similar skills. Sooo after a very long time, I actually had fun playing versus players against other people.

Nope not really, last time I played it was GTA San Andreas or what was the name. I spend probably 10-15 hours on it, and then became bored. Same for many other "open world" games. The tasks keep extremely repetitive and numb after few hours... -

This will be my last post about this topic, probably for a long while, because I am tired of it explaining it again and again, and this is not a correct thread as well. You know, I am a member of progressive political party with a seat in municipial office, and our political party has now pretty nice sample, why we lost last two national elections. So I am not talking out of my ass, when I say, when you push to much your ideology, you will start getting more and more resistance within your own moderate electorate, who are in the core your allies, but they simply do not want to be called all different kind of insults, because they also happen to be religious. And all this is for more than a decade fueled by Russian propaganda, which is turning this into extremes. My own parents are religious, and they are always voted for a political parties who support marriage for everyone, despite that, there are people in my party and a lot our supporters, who call even people like them bigots, and this insults me. And as a consequences of these actions, we have lost a lot of center and center right voters, and becuase of that, we are now slowly turning into Belarus I have very similar experience with my close friends, who changed their voting preferences during the last days, because they either felt insulted by some of our “fans” or they read some russian propaganda piece on Facebook. And all of this happend, because we have pushed in some topics to much, and the same happened in USA, as the mind of the human being is everywhere the same. Thankfuly our party has the data now, and we started to cooperate with more moderate personas, and using more moderate language. This in turn led to our party losing our most hardcore “fans” but the total number of voters have risen in the latest polls. Our political views are still the same, everyone knows it, but the people prefer the “milder” conversation. Some liberal people really loves to live in their bubble, looking down at everyone who is not 100% aligned with their worldvuew, but if they want to change the world for the better, they first have to understand, that they need allies in the conservative spectrum as well, as they will be always in the minority, if staying alone. Else there would never happened things like laws allowing marriage for everyone in extremely religious countries like Spain or Ireland So yeah, people now have two gamechanging options, either stopping to call their potential allies with all kind of names, when they do not share their worldview (you can see many of such insults even in this thread), or keep acting surprised how the populist and far right movements fuelled by Russian propaganda get more and more popular among general population And yes, the Russian propaganda works overtime in gaming world as well, because they are very well aware, how big population of the western world has gaming as their most beloved hobby. And many of the “outrage” youtubers are directly paid by them (and maybe to your surprise, they pay them on both sides to further the grow the divide). I will be on my way now as well… -

It might be perverse to say it, but this might actually be the case here. Russians with Assad has already shown, how much disdain they have for human life. So in other words, ex Al Qaeda is currently attacking the biggest and richest terrorist organization in the world, with the help of Syrian Kurds, which are probably the single entity in this chaos, who might be, at least with handful of sand, described as the “most-likely good guys”. There is at least a small glimpse of hope, that in future, it would be easier for Syrians to overthrow unafilliated terrorist group than Russian State-Backed Terrorists, which are currently the “official governing body” in Syria

As there is no better place (with the exception of one thread defending Assad’s and Russian murderuous spree in Syria), and the current events are unfolding mainly due to someone being to busy to sacrifice hundreds of thousands own people in WW1 style meat grinder, I’ll post it here. Assad has “run” to Moskva, as soon as Syrian rebels has decided to show Russia, how a 3 day Special Military Operation should be properly executed. Aleppo along with more than 50 towns, including strategic airbase at Abu al-Duhur, have been liberated from Russian occupiers overnight.

Well how much will it hurt, if you gave an option to someone, who does not understand this kerfuffle, to completely turn it off? First the people have been offended by other people asking for gay romances in games, now are people offended by other people asking for straight romances? Where is the sense in this? The more options you allow in your art, the more people will feel included in it Or you can call all these people bigots and are wondering, why your sales plumetted, or why Trump defeated Harris
