Some details on PS5. Including PS4 backward compatibility Also in my eyes the unlikely SSD rumour, is in the end most likely true. https://www.siliconera.com/2019/04/16/playstation-5s-first-details-from-sony-with-ps4-backwards-compatibility-ray-tracing-and-ssd/ PS: has anyone the link/copy paste of the last PS5 rumour? Just to compare it again?

I have just finished Earthlock. A Norwegian made jRPG. The game is nice in the combat area, but the writing is the weak point of the game. Still, not bad, and I have enjoyed the game more than enough to recommend it despite that. I was also able to get 100% achievements on GOG Galaxy for this game (in 40 hours).

Sigh. Japanese sale on GOG again. My backlog is hurting me, but the Trails in the Sky are like 6 time a year luring me to buy them. And now again... Must resist...

Issue with all the service stuff is, that people do not have infinite money, so as with Ultima, Everquest and lastly WoW, there will be one service to dominate them all, and all other will be canibalizong each other with their fight for the scraps. Same happened with PUB G and then Fortnite. All other are just a small fraction of all the money required to be it the most profitable thing ever, so likes of Acti and Ubi will sooner or later cancel their stuff. Same with looter shooters. Only thing which was able to shake the things at least for a little bit, was Apex.

Same what happened after the MMO thingie failed. Everybody wanted to be a WoW killer, but now, most of the publishers avoid MMOs like a plague.

You can't exploit **** out of your players in single player game as good as in "Live Service" even if poor implemented. It's not about faith. It's the public traded companies goal of earning all of the money in the world by whatever means, instead of having lower but steady cashflow from maximally satisfied and happy customers.

Defeated Nahraan and done some sidequesting (backer ghosts, airship, cure finding, critter plants) I forgot to save and the scepter boss kicked my ass with few aoe hits So I had to redo the Nahraan fight. I am still missing one plant to mutate to final form, but I do not know which one it is So I am running like a madman around garden picking all the flowers

I only just got out of the warehouse. You'd so expect a boss fight there... And Franir is down, but Twisted Guardian kicked my butt Meanwhile I have done coliseum in starting town for Gold

Getting talents right and learning your stances is the basis of the game. I died to Mushriga last night. The story boss was no trouble. Also died to Frafnir. But that doesn't count as I am nowhere near beating him. At least I beat the burnacle. Won against Tremelbone yesterday, but got destroyed by Frafnir today twice. So I have to move to other dungeons and look for other possible places where the required plants should be, before engaging him again.

Well these "girls" are actually few thousands of years old according to Neptunia Lore

Oh yes, both Mushriga and the Story Boss were defeated next evening. All it took, was to change little bit my talents, and a mutated flower, which allowed me to create few Fire + ammunition for the MC. After that, I had finally enough DPS, to defeat the bosses before they kicked my ass again Now I am at the Festival of Magic coloseum fights in my home city, where for me, the game lost some pacing. To many fights to get the Gold Badge, compared to previous Main Quest parts of the game. Still the game is pretty decent, if you take your time to manage your talents.

Well, Neptunia series is one of the few comedy games, without cheap toilet humour Besides, to be honest all east asian ladies in age of 30+, which I know, all look younger than most of the 20 years old western ladies, so you should never judge them by looks

Bioware already fired their leadership years and years ago (the day, when both docs "retired"). That was the point where it all started to go downhill for them IMO.

Daikatana Universalis?

First game I've ever played was some unnamed ASCII game plane bombarding and shooting stuff, on a big "scientific" computer in a Mining Company office, during school visit to the site, which was probably programmed by the guy, who was operating the computer somewhere around 1985 or 1986

I got free Oxenfree as free GOG freebie a while ago.

https://steamcommunity.com/games/261550/announcements/detail/1723097746688457151 Found it funny this was news - they plan to have a closed beta. Well, I'd hope so. What does beta even mean any more? Given the shove it out the door and patch it later state of the games industry these days, games are being released fully in states that would be called "alpha" in the past. Alpha, beta, I think these terms are overused. I played, according to some freaks, "beta" of Pathfinder months after launch, yet I had enjoyable experience. Thing is - you can't expect game product without bugs, what matters is playable 'state'. To me even Bard's Tale IV was in playable state at launch if you would just reload the earlier save & actually taken care to save the game. I think he was more refering to the so called Live Services, where you are buying empty shell and a promise in a roadmap, which may or may not ever come to fruition. Anthem and Fallout 76 is a prime example of Early AAAccess.

I need to replay that. Haven't tried the remastered version. Never played the Festival of Magic, so I ended up directly with remaster.

I started to play Earthlock. Nice Norwegian indie jRPG-like game. Little bit slower paced, but I am enjoying it

I hope they do, and also hope they announce Epic exlusivity soon! And yes Schadenfreude level 9000 engaged and popcorn ready to bite Yeah, you'd be a great match for Malcador once prom night is there. Wear something tight and lose them panties... Still could be worse. Imagine Valve announcing 2020 release of Half-life 3!
