  1. Keep in mind, it’s not JRPG, but hack’n’slash
  2. It’s all about hands. For me the most comfortable and precise control is complete opposite of yours. I just do not like the design of xbox, where you have one cross and one analog stick on the same distance from palm. Two analogue sticks at same distance means for me much better precision and handling. So, Melusina, the conclusion by me is: If you have friends with xbox and PS consoles or controlers, visit them, play for few hours some game with heavy input action needed. I would probably recommend some Soul game or fighting game, even if you never play them , and you’ll see which one feels more comfortable in your hands. Bad controller can cause even injuries after long hours of playing.
  3. @Labadal regarding Cosmic Star Heroine. I was thinking about that game in winter sale, but did not purchased it in the end. Can you give some spoilerfree review or impressions, after you finish the game? Edit: *sighs* whenever I decide to not use quote function, my question almost always ends up as a first on next page. Confusion takes over...
  4. I liked FFXIII, and loathed FFXIII:LR. XIII-2 was the best of trilogy.
  5. Looks like I am the only one who prefers PS contrlers over anything else. I’ve purchased two PS3 controllers in 2010 and they work until this day. And both had very heavy use during all these years. And still use them.
  6. Speaking of DRM, another game with call home DRM became unplayable due to company closing down. http://www.siliconera.com/2018/06/25/metal-gear-rising-revengeance-now-unplayable-on-macs/
  7. It’s pretty funny game, if you do not mind anime. I have all 4 games for Playstation platforms, I have enjoyed it so much, that I have platinued two first games. But never played on PC, so I do not know how it plays on k+m combo.
  8. I tried to learn parry and riposte on the Silver Knights at Anor Londo, but it show me even more how I am bad with the reflexes in this game. :D Made 3 levels in an hour or so, and took a break going down under the Blighttown to try out kill Ceaseless Discharge. It was pretty easy fight, just needed to have some patientce to kill it. Then I made two levels trying to get all the items in his area, but at the end I made a mistake, and got killed before the last chest. Because I went almost out of arrows, I decided to try and run for the chest. I have used the sound dampening ring, and somehow, I was successful Anyway, there is big orange portal, which does not want to open for me yet. Run back to Queelag’s sister and called it a day. I am going out of ideas, and I am somehow affraid to go for Smough and Ornstein. Almost no one plays on PS3 anymore, so hard to find summon.
  9. From Wikipedia "Number 88 symbolizes fortune and good luck in Chinese culture, since the word 8 sounds similar to the word fā (发, which implies 发财, or wealth, in Mandarin or Cantonese). The number 8 is considered to be the luckiest number in Chinese culture, and prices in Chinese supermarkets often contain many 8s." Thank you, did not have idea about that
  10. IMO, even if you look up for today situation, the more ****ed up government or the more corrupt government, the easier it is to rise for ultra-right-wing nuts. And you have that kind of people, who admire Hitler (or very similar people), for what he has done, in non-white population as well.
  11. Took a break from Dark Souls for a while, and looked back at StarCrawlers. Developer was so kind to fix the bug, which I have encountered and reported to the dev, in the final bossfight, so was finally able to finish it. Very enjoyable game for me, despite few small bugs. Developer also provided new free update for the game, which added hacking to it, so there is big motivation for me to play the New Game + again in a near future I just wish, there would be more developer, who are willing to fix some bugs even years after the released, but lot of games just end up even with gamebreaking bugs. The next game Juggernaut Games release, will be auto-buy for me. He deserves all the support!
  12. Yeah I know, it's easier with magic, I am soon 40 years old, and my reflexes and eyes are getting slowly watered down Despite of that I enjoy Soulborne games a lot, but sometimes, melee is just to hard for me, and I have to overlevel some encounters to be able to proceed further. Some of them are easy as pie, on 1 or two tries, some of them are hell to kill for me I have killed them with poison at the end, but somehow missed the Bonfire right behind them, so I almost get heart attack, after one of the Silver Knights left me with 10 HP and I was out of Estus. I had to use one Humanity to be able to go further and open the Big Doors to the main Bonfire.
  13. You've broken my heart :'(
  14. More Dark Souls for me. And Stray Demon went down after like 1 hour or so. Sigh I really suck against some bosses. Demon’s Souls was much easier for me, because if you stacked on spices, you would never run out of spells. And my reflexes are pretty ****ty for going melee all the time. Anyway, I have found new place to hate. Anor Londo and two archers guarding your progress on a tight way up the roofs with knockback arrows. One bad hit, and you fall down the roofs and “YOU HAVE DIED”. *sighs* More annoying than Blighttown...
  15. Big selling point for GoG for me was that I don't need extra client. I don't want Galaxy Without galaxy, sorting out the patches can be pretty annoying, because the web sometimes simply do not show new available updates. I think there is some script for it on GOG forums, which works with GOG Downloader, and solves this issue, but I was not able to find it. Do you know by any chance about it? Edit: lol, i have found it in my favourites list, i am dumb *sighs* https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogrepopy_python_script_for_regularly_backing_up_your_purchased_gog_collection_for_full_offline_e/page1
  16. After the chore to get through Sen's Fortress, I was able to kill Iron Golem and moved slowly to Anor Londo. I am dieing (how man writes that correctly in english O.o) a lot, I have probably very bad build and using mostly my Dragon Sword upgraded to +2 and sometimes my Pyromancy Fireball. Thankfully, I was able to find some rings hidden in Sen's Fortress, so it is little bit easier now. Unfortunately I am sometimes pretty clumsy and jump the wrong way and kill of myself on the narrow ledges everywhere in the game :D
  17. wow, that's pretty old classics you brought to the table
  18. If you use Galaxy, patching is as easy as on Steam. Just sometimes few days later. But more and more games are getting faster and faster with their patches. PoE2 release patches on both platforms at almost same time.
  19. More people are getting to GOG, if the game is released simultaneously on both platform, just so they do not need to go through all the Steam Direct garbage.
  20. New patch and new free DLC for Deadfire, if you somehow missed the news https://www.gog.com/news/pillars_of_eternity_ii_fishes_out_free_dlc_and_new_patch
  21. Is that somehow worse than Namco-Bandai for From's 3rd party Souls games? Activision is also just handling localization and western publishing efforts, From self-publishes in Japan. When it comes to publishing, Activision is still much worse choice for customers than Namco. Even though Namco is far from being saint, they at least do not have shady patents how to screw matchmaking for better monetization of microtransactions. Namco was always only about DLCs in their games. Only thing which gives still a little bit of hope for the game not being MTX ridden ****fest is their release of Crash Bandicoot.
  22. I liked Xenonauts a lot, but after few days, the missions started to be littlr bit repetitive and tedious, but this sparkles my interest much more!
  23. I have finally came back from vacation, and started to look some trailers about games you've recommended. I made it up safely to newest From Software game Sekiro, but... WHY IN THE HELL NO ONE HERE MENTIONED IT IS PUBLISHED BY ACTIVISION??? Now my day is ruined!!!
  24. Some 3D games of late 90's aged pretty nicely, just run FFIX or Tales of Abyss, and you'll see nicely handcrafted graphics, which are still superior to lot of proceduraly generated stuff we still get sometimes. And look at the design of these games. Tales of Abyss and Symphonia dungeon designs are wastly superior to Dungeon design of Zestiria and Berseria, despite Berseria being IMO best of the games, it has serious flaws in this department. Only very few games today, mostly SONY exclusives are still on par with area design of these games, despite having 300x more polygons to use. They just rather use it on the animation of pubic hair of main protagonist than to put more effort to area design.
  25. The sad thing is, I've never play X-Com 3 Next GOG sale will probably convince me to buy it :D
